Oh Shit YES!!!

My favorite band.

I only hope it's one of many more to come. Especially if difficulty in the sequels needs to increase, they will need to start tapping more bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X etc.
...Hell yes, can't wait for DT (also my favorite band)... and Queensryche, Nightwish, Ayreon, etc...

I also love how many people have turned up in support of DT in these games. Fans have come out of the woodwork.
wow that snow chart is insane :hot:
no kidding, i expected more hammer ons and less strumming. i thought it was a pain in the ass on hard and i can't begin to touch it on expert.

Oh shit now I don't feel so alone!

I was just discussing with my friend how badly we need Nightwish. I really thought the release of RB in europe would get us some Nightwish and Ayreon.

I have been listening to Nightwish's latest album all week, I can't get enough.
IGN has come out and said that the reports of RB2 having RB1 songs as free downloads were not facts but hopes of the writer.
But the gamespot article alludes to it being a fact as well.
Meaning it was inaccurate?
Meaning it has a lot of neat features that make me excited for RB2.

Edit: I honestly can't say one thing or another in terms of the article's accuracy, E3's very close, right? It's not too long a wait :p

Sorry, people tend to fall asleep reading my posts *snooooooooooooooooooore*

Dream Theater is awesome. I'd wish for some longer stuff from them (The Glass Prison), but my arms would probably fall off trying to play it. Kudos to anyone who'll be able to make it through Panic Attack.

As you prove, the MTV generation only has a 3 minute max attention span and Dream Theater's songs are usually much longer.

Like cavier, it's only for the more refined tastes that can appreciate impeccable talent. ;)
what's the website were you can keep track of your dlc? i forgot to bookmark it. Thanks.
Is there a reasoning for this? Can't you just remember? Or worst case scenario have to turn your xbox on and check?

I wouldn't say I'm the best player, only 130ish songs out of 202 that I have total.

However, I got smoked on Snow and failed the new Working Man master at 75% at the second solo. However, I did finally beat the song I don't really like anymore, Enter Sandman on Expert. I am now on the final tier of Expert where I will sit for years and years.

1 more week until the The Who Super Pack!

I don't know what they sound like, but I prefer shorter songs to longer songs from a gameplay standpoint. I lose focus if it goes on too long, like the Metallica songs or the final tier of guitar songs.

Sorry, LaBrie is an atrocious singer,I have no problem with 10 minute songs as long as theyre interesting, after the Petrucci solo there is no reason for me to listen to anymore of his screaching.

He's better than Geddy Lee, and imo had gotten much better with recent albums. But if you aren't into that style, to each his own.

If by screeching you mean classically trained operatic singer than you are right. You may not like that style but he has one of the best voices in music today. Denying that is just naive.

I'd also much prefer the Glass Prison, as it is my favorite song, but 13 minutes would be pushing it for a lot of people Although I'd drop $10 in a heartbeat to get A Change of Seasons(which clocks in at around 24 minutes long).

If you have problems with Sandman, you're gonna find the last tier to be a real bitch. I was able to beat Sandman very well for the past few months and I still have Green Grass and High Tides to beat. F that last tier.

Agreed. I can blow through the second to last tier with no problems but I can't even finish one freaking song in the last tier. Damn solos keep killing me.

Those songs all have some nightmarish moments to be sure. GG&HT took me a week or two of tenacity to take down. The only other one to crush me like that was Ride the Lightning. Endless ridiculous solo :(

I know I'm late to the party, but I just started playing this game and I noticed that some songs or sets get a black check mark when completed, other's get a orangy-red color...why's that?

Are you talking about Band World Tour? If so, the check marks refer to completing a gig on various difficulties. The black one is medium, the gold is hard, and a platinum one is expert

I'm assuming you mean in Band World Tour. It depends on the difficulty level, and it is based on the lowest difficulty of anyone playing.

Black - Easy
Bronze -Medium
Silver - Hard
Gold - Expert

Lol is that right? Oops. I didn't actually bother looking at my game to double-check on those :applause:
Snow is an excellent show off song on expert. Though I haven't decided yet if its more fatiguing than Hysteria's bass chart.
Hysteria's bass chart at least had the benefit of more HOPO's then Snow.

Yes...thank you.

Also, Snow...is fucking hard...and I only play on Medium.

Pretty sure it's more fatiguing. The HO/PO's for Hysteria make it manageable. Getting to the first fast repetitive strumming part about 35% of the way in on Snow is murder
I have finally ordered Rock Band. $150, no tax, no shipping at Amazon. Should be there when I get back from my vacation, or shortly after.
Not a bad price! Why didntcha wait until September and get Rock Band 2 instead though? Just gonna pick up RB 2 game-only when it releases??
