I GOTS IT NOW

Arrived at 5:30 P.M. sharp from Amazon. Brought it to the party I attended. I haven't touched single player or Band World Tour yet. Shoot me a message/invite if you want to play.
Guitar wise I hope Parabola, but lyrics wise I want Vicarious.
Lateralus would make me a very happy man. Hooker with a Penis would be fun to sing. /sigh.. need to stop dreaming and enjoy what we have right now. I'll definately pick up any Tool that they put out for GH4 though.

I'd rather it be on Rock Band too but I'll take what I can get. I also just found this.

http://www.fourtheye.net/?p=1104

"85 songs by artists including Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Foo
Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, System of a Down, Ozzy Osbourne,
Interpol, Muse, Tool (at least three songs and a dedicated venue)"

Can you imagine having a Lateralus or 10,000 Days stage setup in game? That would be incredibley awesome.

You can
even play as your favorite rock star, choosing from characters like
Sting, Ozzy Osbourne, Ted Nugent, Billy Corgan, Jimi Hendrix, Travis
Barker, Hayley Williams, and Zak Wylde.

I hope that it's the "Pumpkin King" Billy Corgan, with the bald pasty head and the black leather like Nightmare Before Christmas.

It would be awesome coming from Harmonix. I don't like Red Octane/Neversoft's cartoony versions of everything though. I think that they would ruin it.

You have a point there, I wasn't thinking about that. Still could be really cool.

Wow, I really like The Who's version of "Leaving Here". I didn't even know they had recorded a take on that song.

My fave song from the Who pack easily.
Reading about it just now, I see the song was recorded in 65 and never released for 20 years.

Also, Tool sucks.

How many people here have the 1,000,000 fans achievement? My wife and I are playing this on medium and having a lot of fun, but we've capped out at about 550,000 fans. Will we get more fans if I play on hard and she stays on medium? Can I go back to songs we've gotten 5 stars on medium and get more fans if we play on hard?

She has to play hard too. It only gives fans to the lowest level.

Yup, the color of the checkmark indicates the difficulty that it was beaten.
Time to step it up. Good luck.

The can cap is kinda silly. I understand that they want you to get better and tackle harder difficulties but in some cases that just isn't going to happen. Like Zforce, I play with my wife on occasion and she will never be able to tackle hard on any instrument. I also mostly do BWT solo(sing & play guitar). I can sing well enough on Medium to get by but not on Hard. They should change it up (fans given to the highest difficulty regardless of how many people are on lower difficulties) or drop it altogether.

I can understand having an achievement that requires you to get a million fans, but it looks like beating everything in the tour mode will require you to get more fans too.

I'm ready to tackle hard, but my wife just can't beat a song that she doesn't know on hard. She has beaten Oasis and Weezer on hard before, but not 5 stars. When she gets to a song she doesn't know then it is all downhill.

I have a problem with Band World Tour as well and I think that this would fix both of our problems. I don't have anyone to play with and I only play the drums which means I can't play Band World Tour. If they got rid of the requirement of at least two members then you could play guitar without singing and I could play drums on Band World Tour finally.

They are removing the two member minimum from Rock Band 2 or at least that's what it sounds like. I wish they would just release a damn patch though for Rock Band, but I doubt it now that they are "fixing" all of Rock Band's problems with Rock Band 2.

The overall difficulty should at least be based on the 2 highest difficulties; one time i was playing with two other people, two of us on hard or expert, and the other on easy. We could've just as easily excluded Mr. McEasy and beaten several songs on a much higher difficulty, but the way it's arranged, Hepatitis Bee has much less fans than it should.

I was excited to hear that Capital G is showing up this Tues...but then I releaized that it has bad words...I wonder how bad the edited version will be.
I was excited to hear that Capital G is showing up this Tues...but then I releaized that it has bad words...I wonder how bad the edited version will be.
It just has two spots where an edit would come into play IIRC (motherfucker and shit). I don't know if shit will make it into the Rock Band version or not, because I haven't heard an edited version of this song.

Also, it's remarkable how many people here hate talented artists (Tool/Maynard, NIN/Reznor, etc.)

NIN sucks.

Personally I'm not a big Tool fan (goddamn all their records sound the same and I own all of them), though I can still find some kinda enjoyment out of them time to time. As for NIN, well, their loss in not liking it.

Tool uses odd timings for a lot of their songs though. That would make them fun & challenging for RB, especially with the drums.

Can someone help explain this statement? It almost made my head explode.

NIN is great but Shinedown I have never heard before. Judging by how stupid their name sounds I'm not very optimistic about them, but I will check it out.
I wonder if Trent plays Rock Band, and if he does, whether or not he plays all 4 instruments at the same time.
Hehe. I can do 3 at once so yeah he can probably do 4.

After Opiate, I'm sorry, all their songs kinda feel like they sound the same to me. Sorry once more, but my personal opinion on the matter.

Shinedown is sort of like a Seether, from what I think. I saw them on tour with Seether on the Jagermeister tour a few years back, so maybe I just associate them with each other? But they're good sounding, harder rock.

I bet you have:

Excellent cover of Simple Man:

First Impressions of the new NiN pack after playing each song once on guitar.

Last - fun.. a little tougher than I thought that it would be.
Burn - not that tough, but I've never been a huge fan of this song even though I love NiN
Capital G - easy. I should've gotten a Gold Star, but I missed a couple of notes toward the end.

It is a fun pack though.

Trent - I know that you won't see this since you are a RAG (Rich Ass Gamer), but we need "Mr. Self Destruct", "Reptile", "Sin", "Wish", "Somewhat Damaged" and many other good songs.

Please. k thanks. ;oP
My Generation is the worst song in the Who pack just because it sounds terrrible.
It wasn't an great recording to begin with. Personally I feel that "Who Are You" is the worst simply due to it being censored.

Devour is just as awesome as I thought it was going to be on drums, but because the rock band drums are so damn flimsy the stupid thing keeps getting pushed out towards the TV, meaning that during the song I have to pull it back in, effectively fucking me up. Ugh.

Just like all the other songs with fast continuous hits of the bass drum.

Thanks for posting those. As predicted, I absolutely despise them

Found this vid on Kotaku that has Rush playing Rock Band before their appearance on The Colbert Report.

They're playing Tom Sawyer.

Couldn't embed it so I'm just gonna post a link to kotaku story.

Had to edit the URL for the spoiler.

They fail at 31%

Despise? That's kinda strong. They're just kinda more-of-the-same in the way of rock these days. Still thriving off that early 90's grunge sound that Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, STP & AIC pioneered. It's unfortunate that Creed, Bush & Nickleback felt the need to carry that sound over into this decade. They pale in comparison which makes the current bands even sound worse.

The movie Multiplicity comes to mind. Right now we're one step away from the retarded copy.
