BACK OFF OLD MAN! DON'T JUDGE ME BECAUSE I'M 21! ME AND MY MOTORCYCLE GANG ARE GOING TO BE LEAVING THIS PLACE SO WE DON'T GOTTA FOLLOW YOUR RULES, MAN! THAT'LL SHOW YOU! THAT'LL SHOW YOU ALL!
 Back in my day they taught us the Caps Lock key in computer class.

My Requests:

KoRn - Follow the Leader
LM.C - Oh My Juliet
OLP - Supermans Dead, Automatic Flowers
SoaD - Plenty of songs from their albums

My guess is the hi-hat pedal is used to change the hat from yellow (closed) to blue (open), since it does get used like that in the game at times.
I always figured CAG skewed younger, but damn. Middle-schoolers? Smash came out my senior year of high school('94). I guess Pretty fly is what drew in the younger crowd though.
Smash is what "drew me in," if that's even applicable. The angsty, aggressive nature of it was pretty damn irresistible for me as a fifth-grader.

The irony about me complaining about Rock Band DLC is that half the time when I complain about something I end up buying it anyway and having fun with it, for example the Jimmy Buffet pack. So feel free to laugh at me ;)

That deluxe drum kit looks sweet! I might just have to buy it. Man, I've put so much money into Rock Band, but it always gives back....
The new microphone also looks great - no more having to plug in a separate controller, pick it up and put it down all the time...
But I wish both peripherals were wireless. The main thing I'm tired of with Rock band is the cord clutter.

A split strum bar sounds like it would cause more trouble then help. I don't see how it would help in the first place, unless you just strum in one direction. I haven't bought anything Mad Catz in years but it just sounds like something that will for sure go faulty

Perhaps, but at least it would allow people to do authentic Steve Harris style bass playing on Run to the Hills and Number of the Beast.

I bolded your answer for you. :) I usually play bass in my band, so I go for the constant up-strum. Of course, I've been playing that way since GH1. I just can't get the hang of up/down strumming. It throws off my rhythm for some reason. I'm psyched by the idea of the split strum bar, but, like you, I'm a bit leary of anything with the Mad Catz name on it.

It really just sounds like a recipe for disaster. Its a bold move but from a less than stellar company; it screams defective product.

I will sometimes upstrum only too. Just to show off in Hysteria though.

Nice list.. Add:

Tool - Damn near any song
Some old school Stabbing Westward & Filter would be fun too.

Same, cause GH4 is looking better and better I have to say.

Please have create a song.
It's a lot more full featured than I thought.

Here's what I'm thinking.

- A very solid setlist (You don't think EA AND MTV will be out-shined by Activision, do you? Expect atleast 5-10 songs to cross over on both games)

- DLC works for both RB 1 and 2

- Create a song

- Online BWT

- Maybe some new instruments? If they have a strat with a clicky strum, I'd pick it up in a second.

I get this cramp in my strumming wrist after playing for awhile, as I only strum down ( I can't strum both ways as it throws me off). So I end up strumming just up to ease the cramp. Maybe the split strum would help

In addition to Pixies "Doolittle" (click for the Pixies announcement), we are also offering a three pack from Weezer, straight off of their new album!

The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Master)
Troublemaker (Master)

All three tracks will be available individually for $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points) or as a pack for $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points).
How could we possibly make a week of DLC full of 14 shitty songs even worse?
In addition to Pixies "Doolittle" (click for the Pixies announcement), we are also offering a three pack from Weezer, straight off of their new album!

After holding off on adding more plastic instruments to my cramped living situation, I am going to pick the game kit from costco today. My GF wants to sing her little heart out.

We've been over this. It most likely ain't happenin'. Half of the albums master tapes were stolen. So essentially they'd have to rerecord them or use cover tracks.

I need some Hammerhead impressions to push me over the edge. Anyone?
Its F*&(^*^%(*&(T&*Tckin hard as hell on drums. Expert is impossible...but its still a good song...Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold is hard as F*ck on drums too

And boo on the Weezer. Weezer sucks

What Rock Band needs is some Clutch...
Preferably Big News 1+2 as one long track...
Or just some other music with an interesting bassline would be cool...
So when exactly is the Offspring pack coming out?
I don't think there's an official date for it yet. Harmonix never, ever seems to write their DLC release list in stone, and there have been plenty of surprises. I'm thinking of that leaked list from OXM a few months back, and also the Motley Crue "Saints of L.A." single and this Weezer pack.

My take is that since the news has been broken already, they'll be a little more keen to release it within the next couple months. Not right away, since Hammerhead just came out, but soon enough.

The majority of responses I've read on the RockBand forums have been positive for the Offspring pack, so hopefully that'll spur them on.

I own the pixies album. I've already ranted about it and it's price (1520 ms points) so I'm more than likely passing up on it. Weezer pack? Really? I like Weezer but Christ there is already plenty of Weezer.

Got my Destroyer Pedal yesterday that I ordered from http://www.rockbandpedal.net in March. Tested it out on Tom Sawyer on expert and it works really well, much better than the stock pedal. Didn't do too well though since I was playing on a wooden floor, so it slipped around quite a bit, need to pick up a rug pad or a rubber mat tomorrow to keep it from slipping.

Is the Pixies album really that much? Most of the songs are only around 2 minutes long!

I dunno about GH4 guys; ever since Rock Band came out, I've always hated GH's interface; those bright colored circle buttons hurt my eyes and it just isn't as clean as Rock Band's is.

And I'm getting sick of all the peripherals...

Agreed completely! I went back to play a couple GH tracks, and my timing was so off with those giant hockey pucks. No idea why... I thought Rock Band would make me better at Guitar Hero, not the opposite.

Rock Band has the lame tiny frets for Hammers Ons and Pull Offs though. But yeah, its interface is mostly much better than GH's.
