Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now
I'm pretty sure you can pick who to send a score war challenge to and what song through the Rock Band World facebook app.
The problem is you have to be Facebook friends with those people. I don't know about you, but I don't have many people on my xbox friends list who I'm actual friends with in real life.

Ohh, that sucks. I had only just seen the option on there but I didn't go through the full way to challenge someone.

I refuse to add "apps" to Facebook, because they are ALL spammy and annoying. I did add the app to my dummy facebook account, but of course that account doesn't have any friends, it only exists to very occasionally redeem some promotional offer that requires an app. In my opinion, it was really silly of them to basically require the facebook linking for the complete experience.
I'm pretty sure you can pick who to send a score war challenge to and what song through the Rock Band World facebook app.
Yeah - that's why I said "annoying."

I actually tried the app and it's not really intrusive or anything, and right off the top you can select that no one sees any posts made by the app except you. It's still a shitty interface though.

I've got all but the "all gold stars" achievement and cracked the top 100 players a few days ago, so I'm pretty Blitzed out. I'm sure I'll go back someday but I think I've gotten all I'm going to get out of that game for now.

For those that have the 300 songs achievement: Do all the songs need to be present on your HDD for them to count, or can you play and delete them?

The facebook app keeps track of how many unique songs you've played, but there's no counter in the actual XBLA game.

I don't like to keep all the transferred songs I never play on my HDD, so would suck if I have to keep them all there until I hit 300.

As soon as you have a registered score for a song on the leaderboards you should be fine to remove it from your storage.

I can't decide if I should keep torturing myself. 4 songs left until I pop the all gold stars achievement in Blitz, but those last 4 seem really tough to crack...and if I have to hear that fucking "Sing" song or that Shinedown crap once more I'm going to murder both bands.

I endorse this course of action
Smash Mouth has more songs than that All Star album... I did not know that.

Might be the worse week in a long while.
Ah, Smash Mouth. I always link them with Sugar Ray because both bands had unexpected radio hits with songs that were totally different from their overall sound, then afterward they ONLY make music that sounds just like the one hit.

Lots of RBN songs are starting to be 160 MSP, i'll just pass. Not saying it's less quality than other bands that not in the RBN catalog, just think they would sell and do better (plus appeal to a broader audience) if they were 80 MSP. Bang Camaro had some decent songs for 80 MSP, then their latest songs went up to 160 MSP. Is there a cag group that plays often? I've got lots of dlc, but no one online ever has any.

Oh boy. Time to load up on stuff that I've missed...

These should show up with the discounted prices in the Marketplace, right?

WTF is wrong with the PDF? I'm trying to print it, and it squashes it into the very middle of a single sheet of paper.

What do you mean it's "now live"? The sale doesn't start until tomorrow. They expect to have all prices update by noon eastern on Tuesday.

My bad? Chill, I guess I miss read it.

oh my god...i'm about to cream all over myself! This is the sale i've been waiting for! I am going to stock up on Microsoft Points and buy all the songs I do not have. Anyone else buying lots of songs or just a select few? Pumped up for this

I Already have over 1000 songs in my library, but I think a small amount of stuff I still need. Stuff I'm going to get is X bundle, Deftones pack 1, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Phoenix, and La Roux.

Maybe side is the Pearl Jam: Backspacer album, Foo Fighters pack 3, Nirvana pack 3, Hautework, and Kasabian.

I like how on the sale, they have full albums and also discounted individual songs as well. I was missing 1 song from the Pearl Jam album Ten which is Master/Slave and since it's only $1 i'll finally complete the album. Maybe we can get a Cag group going again since now more people (hopefully) will have lots of dlc.

One of my favorite songs to play.

I'm actually really disturbed by how little I see there that I want - as in, I've spent far too much in the past.

Probably in for the Megadeth Peace Sells album and a few random singles here and there.

I already spent over $250 in these 2 days that this sale has started and already reached a limit on my xbl account somehow. Going to try purchasing more dlc tomorrow evening and hopefully it'll be cleared up by then. Still debating on the Bob Marley Legend album dlc, worth getting? Not a huge fan of his stuff, but thinking of getting it for others.

Awesome to see this sale. It gave me the opportunity to finally pick up the CCR Pack 01 that I missed out on when it was a one day sale for 400 points 2 years ago. I can live with paying $5 more as my "punishment" for missing that sale. There was just no way in hell I was ever paying 1600 for it. Also picked up Country Pack 03 which had a decent collection of songs for only $5. May pick up a few singles here and there, but like others, a lot of it I already own or have no interest in.

If those "others" smoke weed and are mediocre at Rock Band (meaning don't mind slow ass songs and play on hard or less), then sure. Otherwise people are going to be bored out of their skulls.

Yeah, but they'd be jammin...

Well I can only hope they like jammin too.

Once more where the weed comes in. All I ask for is one Bob Marley song for him to say he wants to see "A fuckin circle pit up in this bitch." That's all.

You're going to be wishing that for a long time.

I love me some Marley, but those songs are just plain aweful to play. I should have known when I purchased them, but they are not good "rock band" songs.

Thanks for the laugh guys, i'll skip on the marley songs. They do seem dull and not fun to play just from the previews. I had never had any problems purchasing dlc until yesterday evening when I tried to purchase lots of dlc in a row on RB and got an error message (for security reasons) stating something about limiting the number of Microsoft Points I can redeem each day.

I just purchased a couple of songs a few minutes ago (less than 24 hours from last night) though. Weird

Thanks for the laugh guys, i'll skip on the marley songs. They do seem dull and not fun to play just from the previews. Is anyone going to purchase the Spinal Tap (spinal tap's tap ten) dlc? Wondering if it's worth it or just another bore like the marley pack.

I Got those when they first come out, they're not bad. Each song has it's own distinct feel and rhythm to it plus it's a weird kinda awesome doing the pan solo from Stonehenge on guitar. Plus the vocals are every bit as awesome as well, especially if you spring Funky Sex Farm on someone who doesn't know the lyrics. I got to say it also helps a fair amount if you're familiar with the movie, first and foremost.

I bought the Marley album and have played a few in Blitz. Yes, they were very easy, but I like the music. The bigger problem is that they don't have keyboard support, which seems like it has to be there. That would have made them a lot better in Blitz (and I presume RB).

Kinda sick to think of how much I would have saved if I had waited for this sale to buy most of my music. But then again, this is a rare firesale and one cannot anticipate something like this happening in one's lifetime.
