Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now
Not for singers. Like I always say, remember, Rock Band is part karaoke. ;)
Not that I want Coldplay, but yeah. I use RB as a karaoke game almost as much as I do a guitar game.

Anyone know what this Beatles "Special Value Edition" is? Is it just the Rock Band 2 equipment (and a USB hub -- for the three microphones?) with the Beatles game instead of RB2?

At this point, I'm not even sure if anyone knows whether it's RB2 equipment. Could even be wired RB1.
I disagree that there music isn't very deep and doesn't mean anything. A lot of their songs are rooted in their faith, and it's really noticeable if you listen to their music with that in mind. I also think Hayley is really talented singer in a day and age where you really don't have to be. Like Katy Perry, who I would want to see in a porn, haha.
Most "new" or "young" bands have no stage presence, mainly because the vocals are so weak, but she is amazing singing live.

Ugh, shut up! Now you're really tempting me to go see them live in October.

$8.49 USD, £5.25 UK , €6.59 EU (680 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for Talking Heads Pack 01
Definitely getting some Talking Heads, possibly the whole pack, and holy crap Guerilla Radio is gonna be fun to play!

Pretty weak. Maybe in for one Talking Heads song and the Rage song if it appeases my "bandmates."

On the bright side, we're getting the bands I don't care about as much from that upcoming list out of the way now, so the next month or three should be great.

Isn't GH5 out next week? I figured we would have gotten a major name artist that GH5 has to try to derail them a bit. Not that I expect GH5 to be derailed by anything Rock Band does. Unfortunately.

I was thinking the same thing, but I guess this is kinda like Harmonix saying "Oh, is Guitar Hero 5 coming out? Whatever. We're doing our own thing." It's like their taking the wind out of their sails by ignoring them.

Anyway, I'm definetly in for Avenged, some Talking Heads, and definetly "A Town Called Malice". That's one of those songs I've thought I'd love to play, but would never show up in game. Just shows that most anything is possible...

God I wish Once in a lifetime was live from the Stop Making Sense film. It's much better. Hell, Talking Heads is better live with all their songs.
Only 1 Rage song? We need more than that! In for that and nothing else.
Don't forget we've still got Bulls On Parade once it stops being exclusive to the metal pack. We definitely need more though! The version of "Killing In The Name" in GHII was fun for comedic value but we need a real one dammit!

Ugh, they had to pick the Rage single I dislike the most. If it was Renegades of Funk I'd be all over it, but Guerrilla Radio...Meh, I'll think about it.

But it none of it matters. GH5 will still sell a bajillion copies.

Tony Hawk died, largely, for Activision. Guitar Hero is not invincible - and given the tracklist for #5, pretty unremarkable. really unremarkable in fact.

I Think that's where the big bullet point of FREE GAME is coming into play because GH5 maybe mediocre, but...YOU GET ANOTHER GAME WITH IT!

I actually kinda respect what GH5 is trying to do with all the "Party Play" stuff. There are some good ideas there. But I'm never gonna get it, since I like having all my songs in one place and it makes no sense for me to fragment my song library into other games (Beatles notwithstanding).

I didn't get that impression when I went and saw them open for No Doubt. They sounded good, but it wasn't like they were tearing the fucking house down.
I was trying to save points for Backspacer, but I will bite on the Talking Heads pack and Supersonic.
You can get Backspacer for free if you buy the album at Target, unless you're really wanting the 10C version.

the 10C version will be no different except way more expensive.

edit: did they confirm that RB download will come with the target version?

Wait, is Backspacer going to be available for RB download at release? How the hell did I miss this???? :whistle2:k

Ok, just pulled up the article on kotaku and got the facts about the Target Special Edition that includes download codes for the album. I realized that the news hit while I was on vacation so that is how I missed it. Oh well glad I caught it thanks to CAG. Can't wait! :bouncy:

For free? I thought I'd read that that version is going to cost more.

One of the best weeks ever for DLC?

Two shit songs (can you guess?) but everything else is great.

(though i like other Talking Heads songs a lot better)
God I wish Once in a lifetime was live from the Stop Making Sense film. It's much better. Hell, Talking Heads is better live with all their songs.
I agree. I can't really complain, though. I've been wanting Talking Heads since RB1 and we get five of their songs in one week.

Well, I accidentally requested a song through the Pepsi promo that I already had. So...

First person who uses this code gets "Dr. Feelgood"!

Bat Country and Bat Country? Seriously though, if I didnt quit plastic guitar, I would be all over Talking Heads and The Jam DLC. Maybe even Oasis and that Rage song

Cool. I thought it was just specific tracks like some of the other promotions have been.

Link
I really hope this becomes a trend. If I'm on the fence about buying a new album, you can bet'cha ass some Rock Band tracks will persuade me to throw down the extra bucks.

I hate to burst your bubble but I don't it has been mentioned anywhere that it will be free. It will more than likely be like Death Magnetic. CD: $10; CD+DLC $25+
