Sears Clearance Thread Summer 06

Not open for further replies.
Update:
Almost all of the games in Novi, MI have been marked up to 9.99 or 14.99 with a generic red sticker. There are a few random clearances left though...
This is true of most Sears stores. If they happen to have anything left it's likely to be $10 or less by now. Everything else is out of the system and will likely ring up as: Video Game, and is stickered $10 or $15, just like the games at Kmart that went out of the system.

Since the previous "weird Sears clearance thread" is a bit outdated and a bit difficult to read, I decided to go ahead and make a new clearance thread to follow in the same format as the infamous Target clearance threads.

From the previous thread: http://cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76977
Here's a compiled list of everybody's finds so far in the thread. The price following the game title are the different reported prices.

All prices and availability is YMMV, and a lot of it seems to depend on the cashier. A lot of these games aren't in the system, and in many cases they won't sell them to you. Two options here:

A)If a game isn't in the computer when scanned, the cashier can try typing in the Stock number that is on the sticker for the game on the shelf.

B)Some people have had success bringing up another known priced game and getting both for that price.

* Also to note prices are rounded UP!!
* I just want to say how much dick the posters on fat wallet enjoy sucking, for we all know this will undoubtedly get reposted over there word-for-word, with no credit to the CAG community

** All games listed below are games that I have seen, or have seen posted recently in the previous thread, I will continue to update the list as required.

*** Please attempt to post all additions as follows:

Game - System - Price
ex: Conker - Xbox - $5

**** Prices are obviously YMMV, I have listed the lowest known price, however prices may be double or half the listed price, depending on your luck.

***** My current theory is that the games marked with a "Jun" clearance sticker are actually now 1/2 price at most stores, "Jul" clearance games may drop again in September, while the "Aug" clearance games are naturally up to date.

******Prices seem to be dropping again as we near September, the actual price in some cases my now be 40% less than the listed price.

***UPDATED THROUGH PAGE 6***

Found a Sears today that was LOADED - Mario Tennis and multiple copies of Baldurs Gate DA II. Both are up for trade, but only for rare sealed items. I am looking for a sealed MVC2 for PS2 and older sealed games as well. PM me if you have anyting that might be interesting. Not looking for other Sears games.

I was at Sears and they had a section of games labeled 19.99 and under. I saw Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion, but they weren't priced like the other games were(with a sticker). Has PM gone down in price? What is the price of LM? I would have asked but there was a bunch of people in line and I just wanted to leave.

It looks like Sears just dropped their clearance games again, I founf the following today:

FF XI with HD PS2 $30
WarioWare Twisted $8

Lord of the Rings Tactics $10
Fable Xbox $5

DING! Thanks...that's the magic number for me. I'm there.

Might try scanning the GBA Player while I'm there too, see if its dropped from 59.99 yet :)
Do you mean that R Racing Xbox game? There is no Xbox Ridge Racer title...
yup, that's it. Sorry for the mix up. Also, Metroid Prime Pinball was $9.99.
I went to Sears today and Advance Wars was marked at $17.47, but it rang up $7.97! There was one copy and I bought it of course! :)
Wow that's a good price. And I thought getting it for $8.96 at CC was the lowest it would ever be. I wonder if that means it's time for more price drops on everything
doesn't your store have price scanners? typically not far from the register.
I didn't see any, but then again there was a lot of people by the register so I might have missed it.

So any price on Luigi's mansion?

And FFXI rings up $30? It was marked 99.99 at my sears behind the glass case.

Picked up an XBOX Live Starter $5.97 (I'm sure everyone knows, but these work on 360) and KOF Max Impact $6.97

Don't worry about the price tag, I just price checked one marked at 99 and it rang up at 49. Was hoping for the 30 that was mentioned earlier but I guess my dumb Sears is out of the loop for price drops.

that's awesome, sounds like the price went down on it [last time I checked it was $17.47 as well]...guess I'll pick a few copies up tomorrow.

It looks like they dropped all of the clearance game sby abother 40%. I also saw Donkey Konga 1 (with Bongos) for $15 and LOTR Tactics for $10. I will try and check out another Sears today to see about some of the other games on the original list.

From Sears.com..

Price Protection Policy

Anyone want to try this today? I'd like to get $10 back on my Donkey Konga purchase.

I might try this today if I can find my receipt. If they'll give me $10 back, I'll buy one or both of the remaining Donkey Kongas they had there (I'd like another set of bongos, for one thing).

Thank you very much. I save all my receipts if I get money back I will buy Advance Wars DS and their last copy of Zelda Four Swords if they have any left.

Prices dropping again eh? I probably spent close to $100 at Sears too... although, I'm 99% certain that the games I picked up would no longer be available had I left them.

I bought Karaoke Revolution 2 yesterday the price still rang up $4.97 I do hope my Sears has the new price drops in effect.

Great I'll have to pick up DK with the bongos, it was priced 49.99 or something like that behind the glass but now I gotta go pick it up!

Does anyone know the Sears stock numbers for the following games:

Final Fantasy Tactics GBA
Final Fantasy I & II GBA
Fable XBOX

These items are not in the system at my local Sears, so they wont let me purchase them (actually they will let me purchase them by ringing up a "similar"game which may cost 19.99-29.99).

ofacto, can you get the stock number off a receipt?

I could use a stock number for Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones as I went twice and was offered $14.99 & $19.99
Can someone else confirm Advance Wars DS for $7.47?
Its $7.97. If I had a scanner I could prove it with my receipt. Oh well.........
Can't they look it up by UPC? I believe one Sears did it for me. You can get those on Half.com
Yeah they did that and it still was not in the system. Then the cashier went to get another GBA game and said she would ring it up instead (for $29.99) like she was doing me a favor.

I think the stock number would be on the shelf sticker and on the receipt on the left side, they are 5 digits and most of the video game ones begin with "9". For example the XBOX live 12 month kit with Crimson SKies has a stock number "96146".

Yes if they rang it up correctly, you can get the number off the receipt.

Here is the one for FE:SS 93517

I went to a sears looking for one of the 12 month Xbox Live cards with crimson skies, but there wasn't anything there. All I could find was the 50 dollar xbox 360 card. Should I try another store, or should I look again and maybe ask someone?

Well, if they don't have it, they don't have it, although you could try asking.
I might try to price adjust sometime this week.

And of course, the obligatory: anybody scan Batallion Wars?
$15 at the Cambridge Galleria Mall Sears.

$24.97 at the Dedham Sears. Looks like it's YMMV on the price.

Advance Wars DS was still $17.47 at my local Sears I will go back and check on the price sometime next week if the price drops to $7.97 over Labor Day weekend I will get the AWDS I bought 11 days ago price adjusted.

Sorry you went out for nothing. I was surprised when I brought the game up to the cashier and it rang up $7.97. I was going to buy it at the $17.47 price. I guess this is YMMV on some games, but up until now I thought all the game prices rang up the same at every Sears. At least it seemed like it.
