SKATE. - Go Skate Now >_< - Vote for CAG Videos to Help for Achevements

 at both crashes.

I had a sick on east night, where I ollied off a ramp and ended up getting closelined. Looked awesome, but the video failed during the upload. :(
So the Photo Shoot "Manny Madness" has me almost to disk breaking rage. I have landed it 2 times with out it registering the challenge and now am having a near impossible time with it.

Here's a simple video i made pretty sweet looking IMO tho. http://skate.share.ea.com/profiles/19408/posts/131136.aspx
I've had the same issue far too frequently. Also the amount of traffic and people is far to high as I run into them 80% of the time, sometimes even spawning in their way.

man when you get to the challenges that require very specific trick sets they are fucking hard...

I finished the skateboard mag and thrasher a while ago... hard but fun.

note: in freeskate you can turn off cars and people.

after saying that and spendin one more hour with the game I complete all the pro challenges >_<

all that's left for me is some races, two SKATE sessions, and about 5 different video shoots... Hard as fuck, but I'll figure it out.

also I have a nice video of Mark Gonzalez getting nailed by a car.

I find almost all the video shoots for grinding or points are rather easily done on the hill near Regs. Basically i just manual to flip trick land it, then manual to grind to flip trick to grind to flip and from there its all gravy with the 3x multiplier. Is it me or does the point system in this game reward speed with extra points similar to drifting in the Nfs:U games?

I got all those out of the way... the ones that are a bitch are the "jump 24ft" and the "no skate zone" ones... hard as fuck. Anyone know a good way to get the jump XXft stuff?
Gave you votes for your videos, Bazz and Rolento, I'll post one of mine up for the vote achievement once I get my game.
as soon as you do and when I can I'll put it in the OP.

Mega Ramp in the xgames park works pretty sure.

too late... I got it all done sunday afternoon at danny way's super compound.

Note: a great place to get the "5,500 pts and Stay in No Skate Zone" is at the elementry school in the suburbs... there's a nice ledge with a rail down the middle that you can keep circling but you gotta avoid the security alot.
Anyone have an extra -$50.00 code that they don't plan on using for the real life shoes?
any giftcards to trade??

On the topic tho

GT: seen415 comment on so I can get the achievement too!

No I really don’t have anything to trade. Do I need to own the game to review vids for the achievements? The only reason I’m asking for the code is that my brother is pretty big into skating (i.e. owns a skatepark) and I know those shoes are something that he’d really want. The shoes are pretty expensive even with the discount so I was kind of hoping some people would have the code but have no intention on using it.

I sipped the pop ups, but if there's a way to see them again I can give you mine. Sweet shoes (Mark Gonzalez is the man) but no need for em.

I would vote for all the vids but it seems you can't unless you log-in and well it won't let me. They really need to get that fixed.

I think I may have screwed up and passed a lot of challenges. I just did my second magazine photo shoot and when I beat it all my old challenges were replaced by new blue icon challenges and it said I was now in the amateur league or something. Is this going to have any effect on the game or achievments?

no need to worry. The stuff that is replaced you can go back to once you comlplete that magazine.

I'll update the OP in a bit with the new vids.

So I am loving this game, but I am having some troubles getting some of the video challenges; where's the best place you have found for them? What is the best way to perfect the flip tricks. I have troubles getting the more advanced ones on command.

Also, if anyone is up for some online gaming give me an add :). Hope to see everyone on.

For the fliptricks, the magic word is PRACTICE. Practice, practice, and more practice will get you better.
I would vote on it but it didn't give me an option...guess I'd have to register. I flagged it as innappropriate though

I think to vote you click on the stars on the left.

Thats what I did anyways for all the others.

playing online for the 1st time right now, I have to say get a few friends together and doing the spot battles would never get old.

I sent you a friend request and I would be up for some CAG group nights.

I like skate a little bit, but what i hate is that its all street skating (rails, kickflips, ect.) but I also like a little vert, and this is where this game is lacking. Also the flick-it controls suck ass. Even if you hit it right you get a fuckng psi instead of a kickflip. No way in hell im buying TH:pG though. Also the onlie sucks a cock. all you do is lag and bump into each-other. Sorry if i offended anyone if this is your favorite game, but to me ths game is a 2/5. If i do say one thing good about it, its the replays, thats really cool. NEEDS MORE PRO SKATERS AND NOT AMMY NOBODIES.

ps: opening credits are halarious.

You obviously have never skateboarded for any amount of time. Riding ramps is more realistic than any game so far. Most people think riding halfpipes is easy when in fact is not. I am one of the people that live in the miniramps at parks, while I think street skating is cool, I am just physically poor at it.

The online is only poor because of choppyness and lag. Hopefully that will be addressed in the future.

There are just as many pros in skate as in THwhatever. The ones on skate are more relavent if you pay attention to videos. TH pros are for Xgames watchers.

The one thing I don't really like is how the games design is built around a level that progresses down hill rather than a more flat surface.

More pros? Do you follow skate boarding at all? Have you ever watched the xgames? Chris Coole has been in the street comp in the xgames for a few years and he may have even won it last year. Danny Way invented the big A$$ ramp thing. Tony HAwk and Bam Margera arent the only pro skaters alive.

I need some help...I have already gotten my wheels sponsor and opened up the other skate shop. My issue is I haven't finished shooting my video, I have 2 parts left. Both of them involve getting a score over 4200 and grinding.

Does anyone have any suggestions where a newbie player can get these vid's shot easily.
