First:
I walk in the door, turn on my computer, and my friend tells me the costs, causing me to laugh. Then he asks me what the controllers include, and obviously I correctly guess motion detection. I love Sony.
As far as Sony losing: losing can be measured in market share. They don't have to go bankrupt to lose. If they drop under 40-50% market share, that's losing. Right now they're around... 55% or so in the US, much larger in Japan. I honestly don't want Sony to go bankrupt, I want them in the game; I just want a more even playing field so everyone wins.
And finally, the number of 360s sold on eBay probably numbered in the tens of thousands (I know shortly after launch it was around 10-20k). The total number of 360s sold last I saw was like 1.2 million. That's a tiny fraction of people spending outrageous amounts.
