What channel are the remastered episodes coming on?
From what I understand they are going to be in syndication on the major networks, but I could be wrong about that.

Rodenberry & Co. are taking a stand against drugs right now. Tasha just gave Wesley a very moving speech on drugs. Good stuff circa 1988.
That sale sucks on the seasons.
Yeah, I don't think it's a very good sale, just thought I'd post it in here for the hell of it. Hopefully deepdiscountdvd will have a similar/better sale.

They also have a pretty interesting list of the top 40 episodes as well.
It's actually not a bad list, though I haven't seen a bunch of the Voyager or Enterprise episodes.

I would have dumped a few of the 'stunt' episodes ('Relics', and "Unification", neither of which were all that great and would have been forgettable without their guest stars) in favor of episodes like "Cause and Effect" or "Frame of Mind".

But I was really impressed to see "Duet", "The Visitor", "The Inner Light", "Tapestry", "Darmok", and, heck, even "Family". That last one probably wouldn't have made my list, but I'm glad to see that the quieter episodes got a fair shake.
Eating McDonalds and watching Voyager, life doesn't get more generic than this.

I don't know why, but I laughed out loud at that.

I'm in the mood to buy some Trek movie posters, too bad they'd just end up under my bed like my thousands of other posters. Oh, and Guile, someone removed the flags from my sig

Well, I just finished the first season of Voyager. I've come around a bit on the show, but it's still a little hard to get through. I've also come to enjoy the characters a bit more, I don't find Chakotay and Neelix as annoying as before, but I'm still not sure about Janeway. However, I really like Tuvok and the Doctor; actually knowing about the EMH makes his scene in First Contact that much better.

Were you hotlinking from the original site they were on? I saved and uploaded mine to imageshack.

Looks like Legacy might be okay. From the looks of it, though, skirmishes might be boring. That is to say, it looks like ship battles, but without wind to account for, the challenge in skirmishing will come down to firepower and manueverability. Not many variables there. Hope they add in a few more twists. We'll see.
Y'know, a couple weeks ago I had an interesting idea: Brent Spiner as The Joker.
He reminds me more of The Riddler (at least the version from the Batman Animated Series).
He reminds me more of The Riddler (at least the version from the Batman Animated Series).
I thought of that too. But I think that's just because in Independence Day he looks and acts like Jim Carrey did at the beginning of Batman Forever.
Oh man, the "there are four lights!" episode, I hate the prick they replaced Picard with.
Capt. Jelico (sp?) was a total ass. I like how he had to go crawling back to Riker though.

Anyone gonna pick up Star Trek: Tactical Assault for either PSP or DS? I'll probably get the DS version, but I'd rather have the PSP version since it's set in the 24th century (the DS version takes place during the original series).

Also, Star Trek: Encounters for PS2 supposedly comes out this week at the budget price of $20. I'm sure it will suck, but I'm still tempted to pick it up.

WTF? Lex Luthor? Could have at least got the angry Picard from First Contact.

That's weird about the DS being TOS. I only have room for FIFA this month.

I may pick up the DS verion of Tactical Assault and Encounters if they get good reviews.

I would get the PSP version if I had a PSP, but I'll settle on the DS version. When I finally decide to get a PSP, that will be one of the first games I pick-up.

I'm waiting to see reviews for Encounters, hopefully it's decent.

Yeah I would rather have the TNG ships from the PSP version, and if the PSP version is decent I'll pick it up when I get a PSP (though I don't know when that will be. Could be a year or two from now).

Yeah same here. So far it hasn't impressed me, but I may have to get it once there's a price drop or a little after Metal Gear Portable Ops comes out (whichever is more appealing), I'm such a sucker for Metal Gear.

(I'm still wondering if Star Trek: Encounters will even be reviewed)

The PSP games I'm most looking forward to are Oblivion and Dungeons and Dragons Tactics. If those games turn out to be good, and I can find a PSP for around $150, I may have to get one.

The fact that Encounters hasn't been reviewed yet worries me. I'm not expecting too much from a $20 game, but I'm not going to waste my money of a horrible game.

Oh yeah I totally forgot about Oblivion for PSP. I'm actually not sure I'll even have the will to play it after dropping 125 hours into the 360 version. I might have to ask for a PSP for Christmas, I hope there's a price drop soon.
Right when I start to get into Voyager, I see the Amelia Earhart episode...yeesh
We probably should have warned you. ;)

You're watching it on DVD, right? There are some episodes you could easily skip, and there are some real stinkers coming up, especially "Elogium" (dumb), "Twisted" (boring), "Parturition" (dumb and boring) and "Threshold" (easily in the bottom 10 of all Trek).

Reading plot summaries for these is far more interesting than actually watching them. And shorter.

Yeah I fell asleep during "Elogium" last night. When do I finally get to see some Borg?

The end of Season 3.

Let's see...highpoints for Season 2...well, there's....um...well...

This is the season I stopped watching, right after "Maneuvers", catching episodes only every so often afterwards. I'm sure there's a highpoint in there somewhere.
God dammit.
The Borg are so stupid and weak in Voyager you're going to wish they weren't in the show.

Yeah, that's what I hear, just figure I'd check it out to see how much they bury them. At the very least I'm sure they make the show a bit more watchable.

Seven of Nine is an improvement to the show.

It's nothing like I thought it would be. It looks like it could be fun, but it could get old really quickly.

Thanks for posting that Kaijufan! Looks pretty decent, definitely not what I expected. Maybe I'll ask for it for Christmas or something.
