I only have 662 games...my sister likes to Library Shame me because I have "too many games." She is a giant feminist which is fine but ironic that she is all about no body or slut shaming but LOVES to Library Shame me! Double standards
It's not the size of your library but how you handle your joystick.

Re: Transformers Devastation

It's a good game, but short. For you PC-only people, it's the only way you'll experience Bayonetta for now. Except this is not as good as Bayonetta. So if you think that the game has great action, but is grindy/repetitive, that's what you get without consoles.

I just want to say I was playing ARK... Suddenly the game kicked me out the server because my kids started some downloads. I asked them to pause the downloads. I logged in again and read something like "you killed yourself". Ok?. Gladly I made a sleeping bag just right there, so I respawned almost at the same location. Searched for about 30 minutes... But I couldn't find my stuff anymore... and lost it all. I think the game bugged. I even lost an amazing bow Syntax gifted me :(

But now I crafted it all again. Can't stop loving this game

wat. Transformers is Bayonetta?

wat. Transformers is Bayonetta?
Transformers: Devastation plays almost exactly like Bayonetta. They're both by Platinum Games. So yes.

Edit: Longer answer.

Instead of hair monsters that Bayonetta had, it's vehicle mode.

Instead of "witch time", it's now "focus."

Instead of Bayonetta, it's now one of five Autobots.

Instead of Angels, it's now Decepticons and Insecticons.

Parry into witch time/focus is identical.

Weapon upgrades are different.

Transformers: Devastation is considered a budget title, so the amount of enemies are more limited compared to Bayonetta.

The voice acting is awesome because they got the original actors, but the stories are stupid in both games.

Bayonetta had better camera and more memorable fights compared to Transformers. Gracious and Glorious from Bayonetta is a more memorable fight than anything in Transformers, for example.

So I'm a few hours into Ark...  Is this the guy I talk to about  getting my pet Dinosaur?

Transformers Devastion let's you play as different characters that has a unique skill and there's different weapons that feel different

Sideswipe with twin blades was pretty awesome, i always love air-dashing

Bayonetta had different weapons that felt different too though. Whip, katana, claws, bazooka, etc. It even had hammers and bows.

Bunch of 2K Clothing and crap on sale cheap at the 2K Store.

http://store.2k.com/DRHM/store?Action=list&SiteID=Tk22k&Locale=en_US&ThemeID=38253300&Env=BASE&categoryID=67800400&size=118&startIndex=0

The console people (and quite possibly Slickdeals because they have their nose in everything) grabbed most of the good shit already like $5 hoodies and $3 Butt Stallion shirt, but hey there's cheap Borderlands 2 eyeshadow!

The site has been picked clean! .... However MysterD should head over there, since there still are some Wrestling shirts in stock. :whistle2:D

Totally unlike Bayonetta that didn't require to grind alfheim for halos or have a lot of recycled content.

Outside of combat, a lot of the mechanics are closer to W101: different character from the start instead of end game content, Tech, weapons alteration, exp stat progression, items not altering score. Combat wise is as shallow as the korra game and that was a worse version of MGR

Man, for all the complaining you guys do, I saw plenty of people buying a bunch of stuff every day of the sale on my activity feed.

I'm boring and played all of Bayonetta 2 using the same weapon which played similarly to the twin blades I was using in Transformers.
But ya it's totally a Bayonetta clone, but I dont think anyone complains about that. I wish there was more badass movie scenes and music like MGRR though

Yeah, this is what I don't get. Every sale it's OMG THIS SUCKS and yet people with a range of 1000-3500 games still manage to buy like 10-20 games anyway

Personally i was happy with this sale. Been waiting for Quake/Hexen/Heretic to get decent prices forever. My philosophy is to only for the most part buy things if I'm going to play them soon, if they rarely have good deals, or if there's a glitch. Outside of that I try to pace myself. Then even if a sale is relatively disappointing i still have plenty to buy (a plus when you have a shamefully small E-peen size of 662)

I saw that and pondered it because they're so cheap but I'm just not white trash enough to get them at any price.

Someone should let Tebow know though.

Is it bad if I kind of want the eyeshadow?
They have sparkly press on nails too.

Of course. We bitch but we still gotta buy shit. And then complain that there's nothing to buy.

As long as I can indulge the weeaboo in me, I'm happy.

FX2 needs to release a deviant pack with pigeon sex, catgirls, and breast physics tasteful nudity.

And your point is? You do realize this is the internet, right? After porn, bitching is the number one activity.

BTW, who are all you people with sub 1000 libraries? I thought I knew you...

I dunno if it's been mentioned, but Amazon has some good prices on Final Fantasy Steam games ...

[FF Deals]

Basically, that matched most of NewEgg's deals on FF games from Black Friday.

Might be good for those w/ Bing-made Amazon GC $ to blow.

Final Fantasy 8 is $3.60 on NewEgg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100021392&IsNodeId=1&Description=final%20fantasy&name=Downloadable%20Games&Order=BESTMATCH&isdeptsrh=1

Check e-mails for possible 5% off coupon on NewEgg.

Though, keep in mind - there were 15% off coupons for specifically BF (which are probably dead by now). which Motoki says a few posts down that for now should be still alive.

personally i like to combine the two top internet activities and bitch about how the free porn now isn't as good as it was when i first started watching it even though i have a ton of free porn backlogged anyway

Follow up to last night. Setting my TV as the primary monitor fixed the screen tearing, which is great. Now I just need to figure out why my "ultra" Skyrim with hi-res texture pack still looks kinda crummy. One battle at a time...

I'm pretty sure my purchases in this sale just lump into "old man" territory:
Lucasarts Adventure Pack, 3DRealms Anthology, Heretic+Hexen collection, Quake bundle, Commander Keen Collection, Cinemaware Anthology, Broken Sword Trilogy, Broken Sword 4, Broken Sword 5, Monkey Island Special Edition Bundle, Wolf Pack (Wolfenstein 3-D, Spear of Destiny, Return to Castle Wolfenstein), Talos Principle , Ys and the Quell Collection.

Ah well. At least they're not Hidden object Grandma games, right? ;)

Except IV is for some reason more expensive at Newegg, but yeah the rest are probably cheaper to get there if you can grab an additional code. The 15% off code of EMCKKNT58 should still be good though if you haven't used it yet, at least for another couple of hours

If you have a Chase credit card, buying from Amazon does net a tiny bit of extra cash (5% back) so one other reason too if it isn't something you can get a coupon or gaben bucks. Also agree FX2 does badly need at least a catgirl table.

Random tycoon news, looking for management games, found Meth Tycoon (EA though): http://store.steampowered.com/app/340150

Also someone is working on a game that sounds and looks like it's based on the old MAD TV (not related to the show or magazine) game, though MUD had some of that as well and ended up being between bad and meh (personally I thought it was alright). At least this game, Empire TV Tycoon, isn't being made by a Kalypso company.

Speaking of Amazon, Audible has a bunch of audiobooks for $4.95 til December 2nd, Personally seemed a pretty good deal, if you like audiobooks anyways.

I remember being mad the hexen collection was only like 33% during the summer sale but bought it anyways because I said I was gonna buy it when the sale started. Go figure now it's 66% off

Ended up not even liking Heretic or Hexen that much despite still loving doom too much. Didnt try Heretic II yet.

I'd say the Autumn sale was average overall, nothing great or spectacular. I did buy my fair share of random stuff and in turn successfully filled that game buying hoarding void for another few weeks.

I dunno if it's been mentioned, but Amazon has some good prices on Final Fantasy Steam games ...

Final Fantasy III is $4.80

Final Fantasy IV is $4.80

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is $4.80

Final Fantasy VII is $3.60

Final Fantasy XIII is $4.80
Thanks for posting this HitlerCat! I picked up FFIV: The After Years with some Amazon credit... that was definitely not obtained by signing up for a credit card.

No seriously, thanks!

Its showing up as $17.99 for me... Starting to get into deal range for me.

My purchases this BF/Steam Sale has been zip, at least game wise... I did get my new video card and would sort of like to have a game to push it a bit but just not pulled the trigger on anything that's at my price point. (And actually the above game would run on my old card.)

I was debating Assassin's Creed Black Flag but its got story spoilers from previous games so that really won't work for me as I've only started the first game twice before getting distracted by something else. (And I don't have the first one(s) on PC and don't really feel like going to the console.)

Thought about Elite: Dangerous but I'm worried that the learning curve will be a turn off even though I think I would love the game... (Its sort of like Dark Souls.... I love the concept of super hard games till I'm playing super hard game.)

Borderlands The Prequel... Loved the first two. Heard allot of not as good/borderline bad about this one so while I think I'll jump eventually I'm not sure of the price right now.

Dragon Age: Inquisition, Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield, etc.. Price and Origin concerns.

I did finally get the beta for Rainbow Six Siege to download, had to start via steam and UPlay kept telling me it was invalid for most of the day... Sounds like a ringing endorsement of UPlay to me! (I do need to try it... I have a free copy of it or Assassin's Creed Syndicate do to my video card. And ACS is likely not really an option do to not having played the previous games.)

Shadows of Mordor, giving this allot of thought... and likely will go with it unless someone's got a better suggestion.

Wait, people play AC games for the story? I always thought that was the weakest part of the games.

Let me spoil you 100% of AC's and tons of other games:

You kill tons of people and they die due to some more or less lame excuses

There's really no spoilers to speak of honestly between games. They might name drop on a rare occasion but there's no 'Oh by the way, Vader is Lake's father' type talk. The games are all self contained intentionally so that people can jump in at any point with only really the whole live through your ancestors and Assassin's vs Templars as the loose connecting thread.

I never played the early games extensively but did play Black Flag a lot and don't feel spoiled for the early games in the slightest.

If you don't want to buy a game than don't buy a game but that excuse and some of the others (Dragon Age Inquisition oh noes Origin) seem flimsy.

Having only played the first game part way through twice I can say I saw the story to be interesting and one of the better parts of the game... The first, you remember, suffered from allot of really repetitive action... It wasn't horrible but sitting on park benches isn't really that compelling. (My failed attempts to play it where more do to the stupid flags (for achievements, ugh) and choosing poor times to play it.)

But I do see your, and madjoki's point.

I got lost around the time Ezio's ghost spirit-rapes your character and you go after the eye of Abstergo together.

The AC timeline is all sorts of funky.

The earlier games did have the whole Desmond story tying them together, but they got rid of that from the series because it was awful.

For what it's worth, AC3 pretty much took what was building into a pretty cool story and turned it into a dumpster fire. At this point, if you're worried about having the story ruined for you, take solace in the fact that Ubisoft has already done that for you. You pretty much play them in whatever order you want. Be honest, we're all really only playing them for the historical settings and to stab dudes while jumping off roof tops anyway.

I feel I got enough money to buy one of them... I got to separate them somehow.

As for Origin. Honestly, I have like 11 games on origin the bulk of which I have never played (granted, most have been gotten for free) and a few I didn't even remember I owned. Its more of an issue in that I rarely open it up and it see their deals. I saw a few mentioned in passing here that sounded enticing but they seem to have expired as the prices had/have gone up. At 39.99 for the "GotY" edition of Inquisition I would rather EA finish consuming Bioware's blotting corpse than support Bioware. :)

SW Battlefront needs a big price drop for me to bite (though when that happens the player base is liking going to be dead so I'll likely never own it) and its also a shooter... My WASD skills are outright horrible and I have enough FPS to practice with so paying big bucks (or not so big bucks with base versions of either Hardline or Battlefield 4) seems a bit silly to me. :)

So not pure hate for Origin simply for being Origin... Though I would love the option to just buy the games on Steam.

Its not that bad really. I grabbed it a few days ago and once you figure out the basics everything else is a quick google away. Theres guides out there for every part of the game you can think of

Of course Ive just spent 15min trying to explain to a friend how to map out a trip for a job he is going to take and he still cant understand, so who knows. Once your in it though its not that bad

1)  Assassin's Creed.  I can't get into them.  Black Flag is the first one I put a bit of time into.   But that's because I like Sid Meier's Pirates.  The stories are pretty contained and quite honestly, they're just making crap up now to figure new ways to pidgeon in other time periods.

2)  E:D.  I liked it.  I bought/used voice commands for about 90% of my stuff though.  So much easier than having the print sheet of all the key commands.  BUT my SO hated it because I'd be like "throttle up" "engage weapons"  "throttle down" "full reverse"  "jump"  "landing gear down" "dock"  ALL night long.  So there is that.
