Does Target.com charge when you order on preorderable items or when it ships?
I just pre-ordered all of the known upcoming Target steelbooks (American Sniper, The Gambler, Interstellar and Batman vs Robin) and all four orders have corresponding authorizations against my credit card.

So, I would say, they charge at time of order. I won't know for a few days about them dropping off or not, though I should see it by the end of this week if they're gone or not.

But seriously....who is going to be rushing the store for the steelbook?  I doubt it will be a super hot item that will be *sold* out in minutes after the store opens and put on ebay for twice the amount....

Well, my wife wants the movie, and if it's available in SB then I'm buying it in SB...

Shit....I bought Insurgent SB last year...because one the steelbook was calling to me...and two...it was saturday night and bb still had it in stock. Watched the first 25 minutes of it and fell asleep. What a waste of money... heard the second one got bad reviews.

I really wanted to buy the District 9 and Fifth Element Steels...but after looking at the artwork I decided against it....so yes I held back on buying those movies... Should have bought KK though but they were dined at every BB I went to :(

I can't believe some of you buy anything just because it's a steelbook. Where does taste fall into play with your collections?

Thanks Shrike. I'm in a bind to pay property tax & retag my car so I don't want to be charged now.

So I pre-ordered MJ Part 1 steel before my BB Premiere Silver status expired..they charged my card.... a few days later the hold went poof then my status expired, the movie came out and I was charged again so instead of 25% extra I got 10%...grrr

A person's taste isn't as black and white as grammar is, Mr. Officer. :)
Oh, I'm well aware. What I don't understand, however, is how someone basically said "shit, now I have to buy it" a few pages back just because it's a steelbook. You don't have to buy it?

If I don't have an interest in owning a movie, let alone even seeing it, I surely wouldn't rush out at 10am to pay $20 for it just because they call it limited. Maybe it's just me.

To stay on topic, that new Hunger Games one is still all over. There are more coming again on Thursday I believe.

If it holds interest to people in my life I buy it.

Most poeple that buy a movie with no interest in watching it just want to resell it and try to profit off of it. Selling them to people for over inflated prices.

I've bought a few steelbooks just because I like the look of it or the art and have no interest in the movie. For example Les Miserables.

The steelbooks for the Hobbit have been all over the place, the First one was a BBY exclusive in 3D EE, the second one was a Target Exclusive done in the same manner and now we have this one in non-3D and not EE.

Same here. Well, 90% of what I buy is cause I wanted the movie too. The other 10% I just liked the steelbook for. I have Snow White and the Huntsman, cause I just really like the steelbook. And soon, 50 Shades.

I'm blaming 50 shades on my gf, and because it's a steelbook.

I almost bought that steelbook, but my wife is more of a fan of that movie than I am, so I didn't care to pick it up in steelbook form.

Major dilema for Unbroken!  $20 BB steelbook (have a lot of credit but the only store I ever buy things at), $20 Amazon (way too much credit and rarely buy from there), or $18 Target real money :(

I wish I knew what people buy from Amazon to use up their credit, I must be missing deals and their BB price matches are worthless because of GCU.

So do you think Target will be getting a steelbook ver for The Walking Dead season 5 and I'm also hoping that it comes with the UV

It would also be nice if Target came out with steelbook ver of season 1 and 2 like season 3-4

The Interstellar Neo Pack at Walmart appears to be sold-out online at the moment:

It's also dropped to $22.96, though I didn't want to order it until two weeks before release since Walmart won't do price adjustments on pre-orders unless they're made within two weeks of release. I go to order it now, and poof, out of stock. Yay.

Let's see, some of the items recently bought with my Amazon credit:

* 500GB SSD for new laptop

* 2nd hard drive kit for new laptop

* New 3DSXL charger and screen protector

* Numerous movies

* Nerf gun

* Multiple snack items via Subscribe And Save

* Kindle eBooks

That's just in the last month or so.

Anyone get there extra 100 points for pre-ordering the hobbit 3 steelbook

any threads for exclusive version that aren't steelbooks - lenticular/slipcover or bonus LEGO at Target? I'm gonna try to get Fiver Armies in a bit.  I missed out on Smaug if Target had a LEGO version like they did Hobbit.

Tomorrow, Friday, March 27th is the Animation Day!

There are 2 new Zavvi Exclusive Disney Steelbooks.

Cinderella (Live-Action) Steelbook – 8am GMT
Animation Day offers – 9am GMT
Who Framed Rodger Rabbit Steelbook GOLD edition– 6pm GMT
The April ZBOX – Animation - 6pm GMT

There is an offer to get £5 off Who Framed Rodger Rabbit if purchased with the Animation ZBOX.

Roger Rabbit looks better than the US regular Blu-ray, but I don't understand why they just can't have the main image without that huge ass border.
