PC implies that it will be Windows, and even Apple has this stance. Since it implies Windows, it also implies x86/x64. Your G3 iMac is PPC, thus not Windows compatible, and by common conception not PC compatible.

As someone who isn't technically savvy, I would assume that if someone advertises PC games they are for Windows. I'm not here to argue the point, I'm just saying that from an advertising standpoint you can't assume your audience knows as much as you do, and since all major advertising depicts PCs as a different entity than Macs, most people operate on this knowledge. Now, being that the game cost you a quarter, I wouldn't get all upset about it, but I would think that something advertised as a PC game would operate on Windows.

The Apple computers can run Windows and Mac OS X, thanks to the Intel Processors. So isn't that considered a PC? Which means that Stootsi was well within their right to include Mac OS games.

But Windows computer can't run OSX, at least out of the box, so they shouldn't have included them.
 
One day until I get my wii remotes from stootsi....after te 10 DAY BACKORDER!!!! I hope they work well (open box) i also hope they throw a few into the gamer boxes to be nice.
 
tomorrow we will prob find out a lot of what people get. I personally am hoping that my gamer box has some kind of battery pack/charger for wii remotes or 360 controllers.

Not thanks to Intel Processors, thanks to Boot Camp. All that does is let you skip the EFI booting. So technically nothing to do with Intel, but at the same time this wouldnt have been possible if Apple had not of changed from PPC to x86/x64.

I didn't order any of the cheap PC games, but I will still throw my two cents in, anyway. Bottom line is, they should have not included Mac games. It's that easy.

Yes, a PC is a personal computer, and Macs are personal computers, but we all know what "PC" stands for out there...a Windows-based machine.

And yes, you can illegally run Mac OSX on your computer, but that doesn't count.

Actually, it's 100% legal if you own a license to Mac OS X. All it is, is a Mac OS X install disk, and 2 small patches. One for AMD, one for Intel.

EDIT: Sorry for the off-topic. I'm still waiting for my 200 PC games. UPS still says billing info received. This is really starting to piss me off.

Anyone checked at the cost of returning everything? How heavy was the box? (although it looks like if everyone gets the same thing, the 15lbs is probably pretty right)

I'm definitely feeling a bit sad if I get what others are getting (which it appears I will), but if it costs over $25 to ship back it's probably not worth it to return (which I'm sure is what they were thinking).

Gotta say, if this was intended to be as "fun"/addictive as a Bag of Crap, Stootsi blew it, big time. Like someone else said, if this is the best thing they've ever sold or ever will sell, it's pretty sad, too. I may keep the platinum box, but I don't think I'd rush to order from them again unless it's a spectacular deal (which they do have from time to time). And this is coming from someone who had had generally good experiences with them. Saying you'll ship on a certain day is fine, but then sending "item shipped" notices without actually putting the box out for another week is pushing it. At least Woot doesn't send shipping noticed before it really shipped (it may not show up til later that day in tracking but it's usually that day).

It'd be nice if there was even a little variety or something in the boxes...

For all of those who got the 50 buck box. I would just dispute the charge now and tell the company to deal with it ... maybe you will contact them in 2 to 3 weeks just like they #$#$# around sending the crap out

This is a courtesy order update email that we are sending to all
customers who have purchased items last week during our two year
anniversary Stootsi Smorgasbord Sale. We have received enough inquiries
on packages that we are slightly worried that some of you just might be
a tad confused, so read below:

As you may (and hopefully) already be aware, all Smorgasbord items
started to process last Monday, August 11th. For those of you who are
wondering about why it took so long to begin processing orders, click on

Now keep in mind we are constantly shipping these items out, both today,
tomorrow, and Friday. Some orders have already shipped and left, some
are just processed but not shipped, etc. Please be patient with us. We

packages. This doesn't really mean anything other than they got lucky
and live close to us (Pittsburgh, PA).
