Super Bowl XLII

Considering the budgets on these commercials as there are no other TV shows to put commercials into... they truly suck.

My favorite commerical up to this point is the Garmin one where the dude is dressed like Nepolean and you can't see him while he's driving.
I'm watching the game for the football. Maybe I'm just old fashioned that way.
Actually, I watch for both the commericals and the football.
Commercials > the game.
I find it funny how people will say this now, then bitch about seeing a small in-game advertisement in Burnout or something.
Commercials > the game.
Actually, most of the commercials can be seen for free online after the game but the game is live and thus is greater than the commercials. Plus, people bet on the game not on the commercials.

I'm watching for the Football. Except this game is horribly boring so far. The commercials aren't that great either. Last year had an awesome game and awesome commercials. Sad.

At least the pats are kickin' ass... kinda.

As much as I hate the Pats, as a Chargers fan, I want Seau to get his ring.

*Sigh* Go Pats...
Greatest of all-time? Haha, yeah right. Cmon' Giants, stop making mistakes.
No kidding. The media has been riding Tom Brady's cock all season long, and I really don't get it. Every time I watch the Pats play, all I can think is, "This is the best team of all time?"

People that argue that this team is the GOAT is a joke. Their an above average team, in a watered down league. The 49ers, Steelers, Packers, Cowboys, would make a fucking mockery of this team. Shit, honestly, i'd take Boomer's Bengals over this Pats team.

Wait, your telling me, you'd pick this Pats team over the Steelers dynasty, 49ers or Cowboys?

Maybe, when your done blowin' Welker, you can form an opinion.

BTW, Tom Petty kicks ass.

To compare the teams would be idiotic anyways. Teams should be measured based on what they are doing in their era. The 00's era Patriots > any other football dynasty.
I love the that Cell phones are the new Lighters for concerts.
I don't think lighters are permitted inside the stadium. That's probably why.

Wait, so you say not to compare teams, and you say their dynasty is better than anyone else? Way to go champ.

In High School I used to bet on the Bud Bowl each year.
I must say tom petty was good. He actually sounded very good tonight and the vocals were dead on.
Damn straight. I woulda liked to hear "Last Dance with Mary Jane"

You can't compare teams across eras because of the salary cap. Thats what the NFL has become.

They're the best team of the salary cap era, and their achivements surpass that of the previous dynasties because of the cap limitations and parity. The league is designed from the bottom up to prevent dynasties. I don't know if this team is better than they are, players today are bigger and faster, but the league was tougher in those days and the rules far more lax. You're asking for a comparison that can't possibly be made.
Wait, so you say not to compare teams, and you say their dynasty is better than anyone else? Way to go champ.
I am comparing the Patriots accomplishments in their era, to the accomplishments of the other teams in theirs. Learn to read, champ.

Yeah, that was pretty awesome. He still does kinda have a point, though. Comparing teams, given how much the game changes from era to era, is somewhat pointless. I mean, can you compare Cy Young to Justin Verlander? No, it just wouldn't make sense. Same concept applies here.

Haha. I just heard the loudest Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! coming from way down the street when the Giants got the TD. Made it less painful because of the hilarity.
If Guile isn't the most American character of all time, then I dont know who is.
Captain America. :D

The only grief I have with the Superbowl is that the winners are declared World Champions when they haven't played any other teams from different countries......At least it is a self-proclaimed type of World Champion.
Attitudes like this is what makes lots of countries' people despise the US.
Although I agree that the US' football league is probably the best, I feel that the title of World Champions is not an appropriate title when the league does not include other countries.

NFL = National Football League.......Not International Football League.

I wonder what the over/under was on this game? Whatever it was the score right now has to be about 20 pts under right now.

I also saw that you could bet on which would be higher, the combined score of the superbowl, or Kobe Bryant.

Giants should've gone for it on 4th and 1. Now NE is going to eat up about 5 min and score a TD.
