That's the crazy part, his opponents in those vids are among the top players(at the time)... one of which is known as the VF legend, Chibita... I was lucky enough to meet Chibita when he and other top VF players came for VF4 during EVO 2003...

They're fuckin robots...
 
Somehow, I've misplaced my copy of VF4: Evo during my last move. I've literally torn the house apart and I still haven't tracked it down.
 
As it turns out, everyone who had input on the "What HT shit should Chacranajxy do" question was wrong. I'm rearranging the room a bit so that I can obtain win for both the PC AND the TV/consoles. These new collection pics will be simply orgasmic... in June when I feel the need to post said pics.

Chacrana - I hate to annoy you, but I'm seriously getting annoyed of using the PS3's web browser so I'm going to :). Do you think that the Gateway Laptop that the dude Kendro posted in that thread I made in PC general is worth it? How will it run HL2 (that's the only PC game I really care about)? I'll order it tomorrow if you think it's worthwhile. I was thinking about getting one from iBuyPower but I've heard bad things. Any other site that lets you custom design a Laptop for a reasonable price? I think my budget will be about 1,500 now.

Sorry for cluttering the thread guys but 4 days of only having the PS3 as my web browser is freaking killing me. If any other PC heads can help answer the questions I left for Chacrana, I'd really appreciate the help.

Yo Jim -- sorry for not keeping up on the laptop thread. I can, however, tell you that the Gateway should be fine based on those specs. The 7600 is definitely enough for HL2 and its mods. The only thing that you need to change (and I mean need) on the configuration of that laptop is the amount of RAM. Opt for 2048mb (the 2 X 1024mb option since it's more effective and cheaper.) And yeah, Ibuypower is teh suck.

Yeah, I got that one. However everyone's item is diffrent (I think.) I just completed Jeffery's Trial Series and Combos, and he got some "Thor looking helmet" with wings. Some of Akira's trial combo's are too damn hard. Think I'll wait till I get my arcade stick.

The problem is Gamefaqs doesn't have a good faqs on the game and I don't remember a guide for it (I remember one for VF4 but not for evo.) It's a pain to figure out these little things. It's like I'm back in the 80's when we trusted only "Nintendo Power" for all our cheats.

I'm in love with Sakura/Chun-li, Hibiki, and Ryu in N-groove. I've considered repurchasing a regular xbox just to play this online..if I could find one for $50 or less, I'd do it.

I could believe it-- he would crash the PS3 if he were in 5! Either that or the sweat affects would cause too much glare in the sunny stages :lol:
 
Good morning, bitches and hoes. Today, I've come to inform you that NCSX has their preorder up for GGXX Accent Core for the PS2 (not the stupid Wii)... it's coming out 5/31. Also, KOF NESTS is coming out 4/19, but I think that was previously announced.

I'll prolly still grab the Best release for GGXX Slash just so I can play it sooner rather than later.
 
I'm assuming that Accent Core is another marginally tweaked / re-balanced version of XX? Sammy is really Capcomming it up with this one! I really gotta play some more GG. Even if it's just CPU matches on my #reload for Xbox... I've let that game sit for too long. Does Xbox #reload have anything to unlock?

speaking of unlockables... does SFA3 for Dreamcast have anything to unlock? I was a bit surprised when I first played it, because it looks like all the extra stuff from PS1 was already there from the start.

I hate/love the fact that both XX Slash and Accent Core are coming out so close to each other.

I want to get Accent Core, but if the changes are nothing that I'll notice too much, I'll go ahead and get XX Slash this week for $29. GGX for DC is the only GG game that I have, so I'd like a game with a bigger character selection. Bums me out that I can't play as Testament.

Wish I could play CVS2 online as well, but after playing DOA4 online, I would lost my mind even more getting lag on CVS2. Lately I've stuck to my N-Groove team of Hibiki/Iori/Blanka. I've been experimenting with Morrigan because of her fun rushdown/guard break strings.

you can unlock online by calling up Capcom and paying them a few million dollars.

I woke up this morning with two missed calls on my phone...

It was some phone number from San Francisco I was unfamiliar with...

I looked up the number and then realized it was Sega Japan's offices at the SOA building in SF... lol.

Looks like I might be going to SF soon. :)
 
If you have an original Xbox you can play CVS2 online on Capcom vs SNK 2: EO. It's pretty decent but can be extremely frustrating if you don't have a perfect connection with someone.

Bought a laptop today, glad to be back on the internetz (and not on the PS3 browser)

Also, what's up with T5:DR PS3? It no longer loads up my character data right away (I can only access it by loading on the versus menu using L1 or whatever). This means that I can't use it in Ghost Battle, so unfortunately I can no longer level up my characters unless I use new data. LAME! Anyone know of a fix?

Ouch, I know how this happens, if you happen to quit the game/turn off console while it is loading or after hitting start+select for the soft reset it will corrupt the game data file but it will keep your customization data.

Unfortunately there is no fix for this that I know of. :(

3 cvs2 hibiki players!

hahah, i'm one too! but i'm a tier whore, so i use a-groove hibiki/sakura/bison even though i can't really do the customs. hibiki's makes me mad too, i always miss the timing with the c.hp cancel into qcb+lp. sakura's, i'll be lucky to get 3 uppercuts in, and bison i barely even know how to start it... i just hope i get lucky with a random slide into scissors to the corner. i should learn blanka but i never had the game and learning those 3 without the game was hard enough.

i love customs though... i feel a lot safer doing customs than doing supers for some reason.
 
I always miss the extra qcf+hp after hitting them with qcb+hp. Can you pull of her 3rd super? I always forget the order to press the buttons in...I don't think I've ever done the whole thing.

Into Kyo or Ky? I remember disscusing wheather Sol was gay or not a couple threads back. I know his real named is Fredrick based on Freddy Mercury.

For me it was because DR came out, and I really don't have the time to take a new fighter seriously right now.

and yea, that GG cover is pretty weak. what's going on with their hands? i mean who does that?

I haven't played GG in forever so it took me a few minutes to figure out his name and I still got it wrong...

was Ky ever based off anyone?

Yea seriously... I haven't played VF5 for like 2 weeks... no one to play with... I TRIED getting ppl into it... this city is a Tekken city... :)

hahah, i don't even do qcb+hp -_-; i know she has that one combo starting with close s.hp but i just never did it... i just stick to my c.lk x2, c.lp, qcf+mp. except against people who can punish it, in which i don't even do the qcf+mp and i look like a noob who missed his combo.

supers? what are those? i only know customs! i actually had to look that one up... deadly rave supers aren't too hard to learn, since there's usually two chains of weak-mid-high and then some other weird chain, but i probably wouldn't be able to connect it in a match. -_-;

Having X-Men Vs. Street Fighter to play in between my breaks in classes makes it easier to go to. Sometimes I do feel that my crew are pretty much it when it comes to fighting game fans in my area. In the handful of years I've here the only serious fighting game fans I see crowding the Tekken 5, KOF and so on machines at the local arcades are my friends.

It's funny. When I entered the tournament that fellow fighting game CAG'er Kristianator put together, their county's best were surprised that the county that my friends and I were from, played fighting games at all. Probably because it's littered with rich yuppies and celebrities like George Lucas.

P.S- Anyone planning on ordering Guilty Gear XX Slash? Is anyone going to wait for Accent Core?

Also lots of respect for all you A-Groove players. I've tried but I can't nail any custom combo worth a shit
