More Brawl footage of me, this time in team format. I'm Lucario, but it's hard to tell that I'm on the green team, because Lucario is always blue in his team colors.
 
So Lucario looks like a great Mewtwo replacement :D

Mr.Beef, does he play a lot like Mewtwo cause it sure looks like it?

Smash looks to play a lot like N64 Smash physics system, slower more reserved not as quick as melee.
 
It's like he's Mewtwo, but he can take a hit and not die at like, 50%, which is just amazing. That alone makes me like Lucario. His tilts are also pretty damn good, too.

I noticed when i watched the video you last well into 155% damage which was impressive. :applause:

It would be nice if Nntendo sent a Smash game file that would have all 36 charcters and stages unlocked to the Gamestop's that are hosting the Tournament's .

Because people like you Mr.Beef would love to play as Lucario or Captian Falcon, or Ness, or Luigi or Jigglypuff etc.

I personally want to use R.O.B the robot just cause he's so awsome. :cool:

I don't see how this would disadvantaged people since it gives them more choices.

It's obvious that if all the characters were unlocked during the tournament that everyone would pick Captain Falcon.

Has anyone here on CAG played with the wiimote+nunchuck on the Jap version of Smash?

I've read the DOJO on it but it's looks displaced and what I mean but is there is two ways to jump i.e. up on the d-pad and c stick.

Also shaking the wiimote let's you do a smash attack which is nice interesting.

Damn Gamestop and not letting use Gamecube or classic controllers!

But I'm not mad just would like to try this config out that's all. ;)

I'll be in a similar boat except i'll be getting a copy of brawl either by gamestop if they have a midnight release or our 24 hr. Walmart, play it into a good portion of the night, then rest for church. Then after, play it again ^^

I meant I am just now starting to play Melee in anticipation of Brawl. So I am using the GC controller to play right now and will probably use it or the CC to play Brawl.
 
I haven't been keeping up with news since it was released in Japan, but have there been positive impressions of the online play?
 
Yea the online play runs pretty smooth.

I watched the 1up show and they were talking about how they had lag when they played against each other but on stranger matches it ran flawlessly smooth.

Of course that was the Japanese Version they were playing not sure about the American cause well Sears by me doesn't sell games for one and saturday is taking it's sweet ass time getting here......:roll:
 
I think I'm going to be using the CC or the GC controller, but switching the R button to the Grab button. My fingers don't rest well on the Z button on the GC controller.

Saving the key configs to your remote = awesome.

Hold up wait u can save ur control settings to ur wiimote?

And I can't stand the gamecube controller block buttons I hate them im so glad they took out analog blocking too bleh. Anywho I think im pretty must spoiled on whats gonna happen I just want toplay. I too am new to melee so I think ill do ok im good in other fighters ill adapt.

It'd be even nicer on the CC, since the Z button on that is nearly unplayable.

Would be nice if they had like a chat room type thing just for XBL for more than 2 people >_> I figure somone said that before but umm yea anywho I would also like to ad to my wish list maybe like skype or something but my console and pc are in two diff places.
 
There's Uno on XBL, or Gaylo 3, I suppose. I don't want to buy Uno just for 4-player matches, which is why I suggested something more universal with Halo.

Whenever my friends and I need to form a chat with more than two people we use Ageis wing.

Ghetto? Maybe, but it gets the job done nicely.

So when this comes out and people have the game is when we will be exchanging Codes and setting up CAG tournaments? Just wondering because it's only a few days away now.
 
*shrug* Some people were already trying to set up threads for FC's and whatnot, but they seem destined for failure. I say just put everyone's Brawl code on the OP here, and possibly a bracket, as well.

But it also sounds like it'd be too big, so iunno.

Luigi will show up in "New Challenger Approaching " since it takes only 20 VS. matches for him to appear.

I hope the employees at gamestop will let people unlock him :lol:

My guess is that the unlock methods of Jap Version haven't changed much or at all.

It only takes 5 or so to unlock Ness.
By the way, they have all the unlock methods on the Dojo too.

Well 1 stock/1 minute isn't anything exciting.
I haven't played Brawl (as most people haven't, lol) and I'm not really looking forward to using the Wiimote/Nunchuk combo. On my time at home I'll try it out (as I will all the control types), but the lack of option is kinda.. feh.

Again 1 stock/1 minute with controls that you def need to get used to will result in a lot of cheap wins. It would be like starting off the match and just walking straight off the edge.

Yea the wiimote+nunchuk does seem awkward for smash gameplay. But i'm going just go and give it a shot.

If there's a spot open when I go, I'm going to play. I figure why not? And, the fact that people won't be used to the controls will put people more on the same level than if the gc controller were used.
