DMK, maybe you can answer this one.

Is there an option to have rumble on when using the Classic Controller? I just got one of those Nyko CC grip things where you can attach the remote to the bottom of the CC. I got it for the handles, but if you can still run rumble with it and it doesn't feel too oddly balanced with the remote, that might be the best of all worlds.

Edit: Second question. I know the downloaded levels only stick around for a day, but can you have as many levels as you want on your system that you've made? The WiiSave thing has me wondering, does it make a separate save file for that level? Just wondering if level-trading will be possible or not.

As far as I can tell, the remote only supports rumble when you are using it by itself or with the nunchuk. Not the classic controller. I could be wrong, but I didnt see a way to do it.

Darn, I wished I had 4 players that I could play Brawl with. The most I have is like 3 people. One Wavebird, One classic controller + 2 regular gamecube wired controllers

Have you messed around with making levels at all? Any insight into the other question?

A good character to use if you've never played the game before? I've said this character for each of the Smash games, and it still rings true today:
Mario, that mexican bitch. He may be foolin' LA MIGRA, but he ain't foolin' me.

Yea your actually right I have played with him before and I was doing pretty good I wanted to play as sonic or maybe Ike im not sure. I would love to win the tourney but if not it doesnt matter to me.

It turns out that the independent game store downtown (which I've never been in and had almost forgotten it existed) was still taking preorders for SSBB, so I'm in for a midnight launch. :D

I like Mario and Luigi a lot. I just suck with them.

its almost time!

i got my CC $10 GC in the mail today.. weird i placed my order 2 days ago. that was fast.
i probably wont get Brawl Till Wed though :(

Wow, I'm gonna' drive over to the GS I pre-ordered at, and see about tourney registration. I'd be most perturbed if all the slots are filled, since they said they would call me if they were even HAVING a tourney in the first place (and never did). But then, I've been burned (or spurned) by GS in the past...what was I expecting? *shrugs*

EDIT: Dur, I has a phone! Imagine that...fortunately, according to the gentleman I spoke with, sign-ups are the day of the tourney.

Thus, the studies begin. *pulls up Dojo*
Bah. My TRU confirmed that they have copies already =/. Lousy street date.
Well... clarify that, do you mean they HAVE copies, or that they're SELLING copies?

There's a huge difference there, especially considering that stores have had them in the back for a while now.
Bah. My TRU confirmed that they have copies already =/. Lousy street date.
The Sears (of all places) here in town has them, along with a couple others (at least one of the two Wal-Marts I know for sure).

I was hoping one of them would slip, but it looks like they aren't going to.

Just pre-ordered and paid in full at my gamestop! I'm number 4 on the tournament. This is gonna be hillarious. Our tournament is starting at 10pm.With 1 minute/1 Stock match..the tournament is gonna be like 8 1/2 minutes

What are we supposed to do from 10:08 to midnite ?!

Anyone going to be entering the tournament? Funny, out of the 32 people that are allowed to enter, 29 of them are from my school. There's gonna be lots of trash talk there, should be fun :)

I am...I'm hoping to do better this time around than @ L.A. I'm switching characters, as well...Kirby's not as speedy as I remember back on the 64...*shrugs*

That is a good question...prolly I'll just pull out my DS and do Mario Kart matches if others approach, Apollo Justice if not.

I have an online question.
My 2 friends whom I've played Melee with for MAAAAANY hours, are both getting this game.

How would the 3 of us play? Would I have to host and those 2 join? Does it work like that? I haven't played any Nintendo WFC games to the point where I paid attention to these kinds of details. LOL

I would think (if it's like other WFC games) you will be able to see which of your friends are online. If you are setting up a match, they can see that's what you are doing. At that point, they can join you, or you can invite them.

Not 100% sure that's how it goes, but I think that's how it goes.

I bought a Wii last Tuesday primarily for this game, so I hope it doesn't dissapoint. I was lucky to even track one of these suckers down, though.

I stopped by again today, and the list expanded quickly from 6 to 25 in only one day. I also asked about the rules, and they mentioned they were slightly modifying the "official rules". 5 stock, 2 minutes, Final Destination. 2 minutes I think I can deal with.

I've avoided pretty much all coverage. I didn't know you could take pictures in-game, save them to an SD card, then put them on your PC. Pretty awesome.

NOOK FTW!

Well my local GC wont be having a midnight release, BUT they're opening at 9 A.M. for it before they're 11 a.m. opening. IMO, thats 8 hrs. and 59 mins. to long for me! Talkes to Walmart and they said they would sell me one at 12:01 am on sunday. Congrats WM for winning my $50!

Just called one of the GS's near me, and they said that I have to show up at 8 pm on sunday to make it to the tournament. Which means that I can possibly make both the Gamestop tournament, AND the Game Crazy tournament.

Oh snap, this is the trophy! How uuuuugly!
STFU! That can't be real. It looks like utter crap. WTF were they thinking?

I want it.

I think the reason people want it is because it's like an ugly dog. It just has its charm, I suppose.

Seriously though, a wrestler? Couldn't they pick something cooler, like Master hand, or something?

Anyone else thinking about getting the Guide?
This is about one of the only games I'd get one for.
I remember having the guide for the 64 version. :D

Also, I joined the tournament and am going against a couple 12 year olds (around 8ish) and 2 friends of mine. I also think there's about 2-3 21 year olds guys who entered aswell.

I'm sure it's something they threw together on the cheap for the local tourneys. I'm sure getting something like Master Hand on there would be a decent chuck of change more as it would be a more custom job than just the stereotypically wrestling figure. I'd imagine that there will be something cooler for the later levels.
That said, I want one.

I've shopped around for trophies for organizations before. That thing is worth a couple of bucks max. They probably bought it at a bulk rate. Its like the instant ramen of trophies.

Nunchuk: Analog stick to move your guy, C - Jump, Z - Block

Remote: D-Pad - Up - Jump, Down - Block, Left/Right - Grab

A - A attack, B - B attack. A+B - grab. 1, 2, or 1+2, taunt.
So what's the big difference between Lucas and Ness? They play exactly the same.
Lucas doesn't have the Yo-yo and regular attacks of Ness, instead he uses his psychic powers or something like that.

That doesn't seem all that bad. So I can still attack and NOT have to use that WAGGLE? LOL

I'm actually sitting here with the wiimote/nunchuck trying to see how that feels. It's not TOO bad.

They both have the same psi power though, which is kind of a downer.. Lucas seems a bit slower than Ness.

I've heard some people say they prefer it to the GC controller.

Isn't Lucas supposed to be faster, though? Unless I misheard.
