I think so too. The two people I get a lot of lag with both have red orbs. I think blue means you haven't played a game with them yet.

I remade a damn good Hyrule Castle and Saffron City today, and a less-than-stellar Peach's Castle. A lot of the melee stages are an absolute bitch to recreate.
 
It's awesome how now you can jump on peoples heads and fall down. :D

Woo hoo just bet SSE, now a question, how does one unlock jigglypuff? He is the only one I have left to unlock.

unlock toon link

edit, is it just me, or does everyone have trouble with the basic brawl mode? Every time i try it, it says "disconnected from network" or "connection with other users lost"... when i play with friends it works fine.. hmm

I still haven't been able to do that.
I've beaten classic with Link 10+ times now on various difficulty settings without dying and still no Toon Link. What gives? :bomb:
 
Mr. Beef, those matches were so retarded >.>

With the amount of lag I had on my end, I was amazed that I could even hit you. And then when you got the clock, It was like Ultra Lag. Wow. Good matches though, nice to fight someone who knows what there doing, as opposed to my friends :p

I'm going set up a room 10:30 PM Central time. I haven't had any laggy games when I set up a match so I think I have a decent connection. I'll stick around for 5 minutes or so and see if any one joins.

I can only play for a bit but might as well try and get a few games in.
 
Easiest way to unlock Toon Link is to go to the Forest stage, and after the first mob of Primids ambushes you, there should be a floating door just begging for you to open it. I don't know if you have to beat SSE first, but if it ain't there, and you haven't beaten SSE...there's your answer.

Ah, I just figured it out.
Apparently, you have to beat SSE then beat classic with Link.
I really wish the cheat sites had mentioned that...
 
Has anyone else gotten the same results as me, unlocking Sonic after playing approximately 50 vs brawls in and not completing any of the other reqs (as based off of brawl central):
Complete Classic Mode with 10 characters
Play 300 matches in VS Mode
Complete the Subspace Emissary

The SSE way is to go to the Swamp, and go to the door in the air during all the barrel blasting stuff.

There's so many characters I like playing as. :O

Yeah, I'm still having issues too. I played around with my router settings in addition to some Wii settings. Nothing. I still can't get the options menu to show up, and still am having issues connecting to friends. I may try calling Nintendo tomorrow to see if I can get a more direct answer.

dodge his stupid winged bomb move thing where it instantly kills you?

EDIT: NM I beat him on the 3rd try.

He has to join your party, which he will later. Just because you see a character in a cutscene doesn't mean they're unlocked.
 
You don't actually get Ness until it says "Ness has joined your party!"

Same with all the characters. Just play a few quick 4-player games, and Ness will challenge you afterwards.

You have to hold shield and hit down in time with the 3 waves. Took me forever to figure that out.

To me it seems they did a really good job balancing characters this game, there is only a few I would never play as. Most of them I feel pretty comfortable with. I am really impressed on how they handled sonic and snake as characters. I was expecting both of them to just be gimmicks but actually both of them are pretty kick ass.
 
So, for some inexplicable reason, I can't connect to anyone or anything via the 'Play With Anyone' option. It saddens me greatly.

My only recourse is to add a bunch of people! :) My Brawl FC is 3909 7175 1835. PM me if you add me. I'll check the thread as well in order to add other, newer Brawlers.
