Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info
What if Megaman got powers from the last enemy he killed, either that or if he special attack was 'absorb power' similar to Kirby's Swallow?
I fully endorse this idea. The only question is what would Mega Man's Final Smash be?

It depends on which Megaman they would theoretically go with, but I bet it would be some form of giga crush.

Zero would technically be a better smash brothers character, IMO. Megaman is all ranged attacks.

But.. stop getting my hopes up. If Megaman is in Smash, i will pee myself.

or they could give him the giga armor from the X games, assuming they use X instead of rock/megaman

I would have guessed ahead of time that the Wii Remote only option would be the worst due to a lack of buttons. I'm looking forward the the Wii Remote + Nunchuk option. (and of course the gamecube option, but we already know the buttons for that)
you remind me of an episode of "Brother's Keeper" where the 'dumb football player' brother was referring to John McClane as "Die Hard" as in 'remember that scene when Die Hard was trapped in the elevator'
That doesn't make any sense. Carell's character was the 40 year old virgin described in the title. Just because I didn't remember his name was Andy at that moment, I'm some kind of "Dumb football player"? Grow up. What was your point here? I was just saying that sandbag made me think of that movie, and I wanted to post a video of when he's on the bike yelling at himself for saying bag of sand. Guess that just wasn't up to your standards. And I've never heard of what show you're talking about.
So Meowth comes out and throws its 小判 (koban) at the opponent. Sounds straightforward enough
It would have been better if he was a controllable character. I love Meowth. Oh well, still nice to see him included.

Meowth had a lot more money to throw around back in the original Smash Bros. Perhaps it figured out between 1999 and now that a koban saved is a koban earned.
Um.

Samus?
Megaman X:Zero - Sonic:Knuckles
I fully endorse this idea. The only question is what would Mega Man's Final Smash be?
Hopefully something incorporating Rush maybe Roll.
That doesn't make any sense. Carell's character was the 40 year old virgin described in the title[...]
noone has heard of it that's why I put the link. I wasn't making fun of you. it just reminded me of people who refer to main characters by the title. That's all no offense intended.
for a second there i thought meowth was a playable char, nice to see him return though :)
That would have been nice.
Um.

Samus?
I've had enough of your logical questions and well-thought out responses!!

Good point. I suppose just giving Megaman punches and kicks would be enough, all his specials could still be ranged.

I'd love to see a MM7 style Megaman in Smash.
If you switched the B to Taunt and the A to Shield, it looks like it could be okay.
Are we forgetting you can map the buttons any way you wish? Imagine moving to the right with 2!
That theme still gives me chills.

Mega Man and that song (redone) for Smash would be incredible.
I highly recommend checking out the Neskimos version of the MMII intro:

Third one up from the bottom. That along with their Zelda cover require me to change my shorts.

Also Mega Man music related, I can't help but promote The Protomen and their Mega Man rock opera. "Unrest In The House Of Light" does me in.
for a second there i thought meowth was a playable char, nice to see him return though :)
Thought that too. Ah well!

Megaman's FS could easily be his Hyper Megaman super special from MvC.

Also nice to see Meowth making a comeback. he was too good in the first game.
That would have been nice.
i'd much prefer snorlax as a fighter, oh man would he own, probably end up eating kirby every match
Thought that too. Ah well!
one can dream ;)
"A" button to taunt? Boo-urns! I adapt well to most any control scheme so I can't imagine having much trouble with this, but that's still really stupid. Specifically saying that block was in a "hard to reach area" then mapping taunt to the main button makes no sense whatsoever.
I'm pretty sure they've said you can remap the controls however you want.

What a waste. It makes me wonder where they're going to pull out some good characters to be playable. I do have high hopes for Ray Mk from the Custom Robo series though, that seems easy enough to plug in.

Hey, I say it's about time Nintendo remembered Punch-Out existed. There's been so many perfect oppertunities to revive it, yet we're still stuck with only two console releases. Even if Little Mac is just an Assist Trophy, it's still something.

Exactly where's my Wii and DS Punch-Out!!

"My barber didn't know when to quit! Do you?"

Well, at least it's the human-looking Punch-out Little Mac, instead of that freaky-looking-in-3D Super Punch-out guy.

*sigh* I really wanted Little Mac to be a fully playable character its nice he's in but with those moves he looks like he could be a real contender in the game *eyes pun and leaves it* >_>.

wow I must be the only one who doesn't really want Mac as playable.

P.S. Boo to the titles that aren't literally descriptive. When did this start happening.
now their just buying time
but of course. Assist Trophies are all the rage at being used as filler. They can drop 'em one at a time and technically it's an 'update'
I'm not entirely sure what it is you're talking about, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that it has nothing to do with what you're responding to.
I was rereading the convo and suddenly I realized you were not asking who the character of Zero was. So .. my mistake. I thought you were under the impression that Zero was the same character as Samus (ZSS)
never got a chance to play punch-out, but from what i've been hearing it seems to be a classic
It's an awesome game, and holds up really well to the test of time. You owe it to yourself to buy it on the Virtual Console, it's one of my very few choices.

I'm excited to see Little Mac back in action. Hopefully, we'll see at least one of the enemies as an assist as well; even if it's Glass Joe as a dud assist.

Gives you incentive to read the actualy Dojo site or the OP.

Notice how Punch-Out!! doesn't even get its own icon? I suppose that eliminates the possibility of a boxing ring stage (unless they use King Dedede's).

I've got to agree with Wolfkin, I prefer the old style.

The assist trophies are an excellent way to give nods to characters that while they would make sense to include, they simply can't afford to make/balance into the game. I don't know if they're still doing poke-balls or if these are their replacement, but it's much better than those in melee.

And Cao Cao that is without a doubt the best nintendo tribute video ever made.. Such a shame they didn't win the competition that it was created for. That video still feels so epic. It's got the perfect balance of goofy nintendo references with a touch of realism.

You should look one update down. There are still Pokeballs.
