Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info

Yesss, Stafy! I really wanted him to be playable, but now that he is an AT, I realized that, as a playable character, he wouldn't really have ANY special moves, so its OK. Thank God Waluigi is only an AT. For people who say, "But, but, WARIO is playable", Wario has had Wario Land and Warioware, plus being in every Mario party game, AND his primary costume is the Warioware one, all thing that Waluigi doesn't have. (now come on Big the Cat as an AT!:razz:)

I couldn't take it seriously since pokemon are a big part of the game (like it or not) and taking them away and adding megaman doesn't make up for the fact you've taken out a chunk of the game.

Also, pokemon is a nintendo franchise, unlike megaman, so it has all the more reason to be in smash instead of megaman.

Not saying I wouldn't mind seeing him, but people aren't being realistic now...

Yeah, I know... Wario VS Mario, Waluigi VS Luigi. That would of been awesome, hopefully they at least throw Daisy in there so I'll have an easier time convincing my girlfriend to play.
 
I believe Mario's alternate costumes are the color schemes of other Mario characters (fire Mario, Wario, Luigi, and Waluigi), so if Luigi is in the game and has similar costumes you can kind of do the Mario vs Wario brothers.

They should put Wart, Fry Guy and Tatanga in the game (if they haven't already). I haven't really been checking up on the news with this game, but I've been growing more interested as more news comes out.

Co-op events looks like another fun mode.
It's kind of strange that the Pokemon caption says that there will be the 3 Pokemon trainer Pokemon plus Pikachu, but the picture has 2 Pikachus.

I think what it was referring to was that one person has to be the pokemon trainer while another person is pikachu, who are facing a pokemon trainer and a pikachu.

Not the worst update, but most of them lately have been rather weak.
 
I wouldn't mind a Co-op Classic Mode.

Make the game just as enjoyable for a single player as it is with 2 or more, as best as they can.
 
The new level looks fun. I was wondering if they were going to include a Metroid Prime level, or if they were only going to include levels from the Japanese Metroid games.
I also like the music.

The same people who put out the child-predators-will-hunt-down-your-children-using-ds-pictochat video. They're completely unreasonable. The same people who got up in arms over the WiiZapper looking too 'gun-like'. Wii is number one right now and it's getting a TON of flak in terms of this kind of stuff. I couldn't imagine how much flak we'd get for having real online. It would be insane.

All i want is to be able to play online with my friends without paying $50/year. I don't need voice but some sort of communication. Chat doesn't work efficiently without a keyboard so yeah I'm asking for voice. Voice chat, friend list that's all i need and i know it's highly unlikely I'll ever get it. Nintendo has managed to accomplish something huge with the Wii. They've made getting online a task so onerous it makes me not want to even bother.

The real question we need to be asking is how we get all this child-advocacy groups to look in the direction of XBox. They want to talk about how bad pictochat is then we need to show them Halo 2. If we can get them to see Xbox Live then maybe Nintendo can lighten up and give us some real online. Unfortunately it's too late for Smash, possibly too late for the first Wii and for this I weep.
 
Team Healer item. Basically a tomato/heart, but you can pick it up and throw it at someone.

Eh.

Part of me was hoping that - in a 2v2 team battle - it meant one person was a designated healer, and could throw out any number of these things to their partner.

Then it would cause a struggle where you might want to advantageously destroy the team healer first, instead of focusing on the attacker.
 
I'm dissapointed they didn't put Porky's real theme in. Instead, it's his army's theme... =\

His real theme is so much better.

meh... the update is alright. I like the colours, and I'll be like ''team reds, move out! woah, attack the blues! stay away from greeeeens!''.

I came to the States from Russia when I was 13. They teach British English in Russia. You know, the real one. Not the bollocks that they pretend is English all up on ins here.

I had my old computer, and the spell-checker was set to British Proper English. I had an English paper returned to me in 11th grade with a big B on it, with a comment "please correct the spellings" with every British spelling underlined.

In any case, never mind the yanks, mega - they chafe me starfish.
