I talked to my boss (College Union) into hosting a Smash Brawl tournament. The winner gets Mario Kart Wii. $1 entry fee and it's the first 64 students to sign up.

How dope is that? (Now if I were only better....)

And good games last night. The disconnect was my fault. My brother reset the wireless router in the middle of our game. Too bad, because it was looking to be an exciting match (of course).

Does anyone know if there's an advantage to eating up items with Kirby, King DDD, and Wario? Doesn't Wario gain some more fart power or something? I couldn't find any info anywhere.
 
Wario does gain more fart power. DDD and Kirby can inhale certain items and only take a fraction of the damage that they would normally (Bobombs, Smart Bombs). Or remove them from play, which can be advantageous.

No problem, I figured it was an accident considering you played well for the rest of the match.

Good games to Joe and Dmonkey as well. I feel like I've been getting a lot better with my Olimar + some others over the past few weeks. I feel much more prepared and think I might manage to make it past the second round in the next tourney.
 
Holy crow, sorry about the extreme lag Zitanix, thank god you were able to drop out, I couldn't even get that far. My connection has never been that bad before. Earlier today I played a crapload of random matches and they were smooth as butter. Hopefully it'll sort itself out in a little bit.

I've come to a conclusion that fighting against a ROB ditto is my worst opponent. It's so damn difficult to approach him, especially w/ his spammable dsmash. Projectile reflectors like Pit and Zelda are difficult to fight against but nowhere as challenging as a ditto.

Yeah, that first Rob vs. Rob match lasted 8 minutes!

Edit: I didn't choose Rob to be mean, but I'm always curious where I stack up against someone's main.

I think you topped me by 1-2 wins.

For some reason, I think my Ike is getting better. I've improved my unpredictability game (less foolish approaches and more defense). It might also be b/c you guys forgot (maybe a little) how I play my Ike.
 
Nice game Zitanax. I was use some of my regular characters against you. Kirby was nuts, I'm not sure if I'm good with him or not. He has some really good moves on him. Somehow, I seems to think I beat you sometimes with luck. I totally don't know how to use Zelda or link properly. Hmmm, that was an experiment. Nice going with Luca. Hmm, you should be more agressive with him. But I kept shooting you with arrows tho. I'm getting a little better with throw and air dodging. I can't seem to beat you in the air. You think like 2 steps ahead of me.

I want to play against Evergoo again. I need my revenge. Ummm, well not really...Just want to test myself again. I never fought beef before.

Seems like a draw between me and Zitanax tonight. I think that since I'm a night owl. It lean somewhat towards me. I might never face Dallow since of time zone differences.
 
Good games to Suko, Evergoo, Hero, Arikado, and Mr. E. Those were probably the least laggy FFAs I've played online, and they were a blast.

Suko, when we were playing, two people who go by JAMEZ and NINA tried to join but for whatever reason they never showed up. Not sure what that was about, since they aren't on my list.

Arikado, we need to play more! I promise I won't spam kirby's falcon punch so much next time we play. :)

I actually won a match against JoeB once, so that's a small boost to my confidence. Of course, he mercilessly brutalized me several times so my one win was likely a fluke! *lol*

Beef hasn't accepted my registration yet or we haven't been online at the same time. It's probably better that way though since I'll most likely be thrashed in quick fashion and beaten like a govenrment mule.

Guess I'll root for Joe so I can say I won once against him! "Joe's Gonna Kill You"

I'm at work right now, so If I'm not completely exhausted when I get home, I'll try and add some people today. I'm looking at you, GunstarRed, even though the Blue one was my favorite. :nottalking:

Yeah, I'm more of a Ness player than Lucas, but I wanted to give him a try since he's not bad at all. As for your kirby, it's pretty good, but I think you use his down b a little too much. When you missed, I pretty much had a free grab and any position I wanted. I also thought your Zelda wasn't bad, but that could be because she's always hard for me to play against.
