Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Most certainly. I love these cables for my PS2. I thought $20 was a great price for them. Since they're Sony, they fit the PS2 perfectly, they fit into your component holes quite snug but not too tight, and they'll keep your PS2/PS3 under warranty. Not to mention they're much sexier than the PS2 version.

I used to hear of the Monster cables ripping the crap out of some component holes because they were way too tight.

My Target had a few left for $5 or less as well, I'll check next time I'm there for any...

FYI: I also remember seeing composite cables right next to these that look quite similar (same style packaging), be sure to get the components for a real quality boost.

If an item doesn't scan on a register, have them check the price on a portable scanner (called an LRT or PDT). This will almost always give them the last clearance price if an item has fallen out of the system (salvaged).

Unfortunately, it sounds like you got a clerk that didn't want to mess with you and just made up a price....

Yes, that was what happend. They tried entering the number, etc., no dice.

Was it the platinum hits version that is clearanced? I can try to take it to pharmacy if it's still there... I've heard people get good luck there.

Sorry guys, went back around 7 last night and they were gone, they moved all the clearance stuff and there wasn't anything left really except a few random iPod accessories and a few games Icon(PS3) and Godfather (360) only ones i can remember off hand.

P.S. Does anyone know if the component switch routers (don't know the proper name) work very well?? Do they take away from quality aspect at all??

Target has been clearancing the PS3 cables (SVID, Composite and Component) the past few months. I got the component cables for $10 or so in August. Yes, they work with PS2.

I wish I could find the Sony component cables. I got the S-video cables for $5 a few weeks ago, but I'll probably take those back. I don't think the step from composite to S-video is worth the expense.

I use the shitty $20 one from GameStop and it doesn't look any worse than before. Granted I am playing on an SDTV through component jacks.

I used a component switch before I got my new tv and I couldn't notice any different between using it or not. I hooked my Wii, Xbox, and 360 up with it all in component. My tv was a tube 1080i also.

Hmmm, thanks, I guess I will have to think about buying one, I have just a small 15 LCD EDTV up here at college and it only has the one component jack, I figured it would be cheaper to just buy the component switch than invest in VGA cables for 360. I will just be using my 360 and PS3 on it.

Windows Live Care for 3 computers had a As Is tag for 10 down from 40. YMMV on that one of course.

I saw that MLB2k7, Silver Surfer and Shrek 3rd for all systems dropped to 50% off. Tried to check my barcode printouts for Call of Juarez, Godfather, Bionicle etc, but for the second week in a row the scanners were down. Used a hand scanner to check a couple of the 9.98 games and they were still 9.98.

Lord of The Rings Online (PC) was $20.xx and there was no GRAW or even GRAW2 to be found for 360. Looking through the case I realized they really don't carry that many 360 games. Oh well.

I thought Snoopy would only drop to 5. Guess I shoulda waited.
After finding Stalker for 14.98 @ 50% at one Target, it was only 20.98 @ 30% at the next two Targets, including the one which is further along the % off drops on other items than the other two stores which is very confusing. Scanned at those prices at all three.

GREAT find on DOA 4. I found another Mash Season 1 (7.46) and the James Blount CD with Beautiful on it (3.76), both marked As Is. Crazy part is the CD is a special edition 2 disc set which had a Target price tag for 16 on it. When I scanned it it came up not in system and I was ready to deal with a register person who would see the 16 sticker and try to ring it up that way, but when it came up OOS he grabbed a hand scanner and that was that.

I saw Stalker & Call of Duty 2 GOTY today both for $14.98

I knew I forgot to mention something. At the Target which had STALKER for 30% off, they had CoD2GOTY PC for 14.98.

Also, I scanned barcodes for the following which are still at their last reported prices: Call of Juarez, Bionicle, Godfather xbox, Gfather 360, Black, 360, The Outfit, PS2 Karoake American Idol.

PS2 Sprint Cars Road to Knoxville is 3.74. 75% off 14.99.

I'm gonna be visiting a friend in Santa Cruz this weekend and I'll be passing right by the place, so I'm wondering if anyone knows if it'd be worth the trip. The inventory tool claims they have "Limited Availability" of Def Jam Icon, which I wouldn't mind picking up on clearance but is OOS down in San Diego.

I would call a store and ask a customer service agent to look it up.

Target in Rossford OH has wireless guitars for PS2 for 12.46. They had 4 guitars and I bought 2 of them. It is the Metal Sunrise Wireless Guitar for PS2. There were 2 guitars left at the Rossford OH store. The Airport HWY Target also has the guitars (I think there were 3 or 4 left) but when price scanned, they come up as not in the system. The Airport HWY store also has the guitar stands on clearance for about $5.00.

Confirmed on COD2, SW Galaxies complete adventures, Stalker. SWG was tempting to pick up at 10 bucks but given the fact that the game has gone down the toilet since it's "revamped" and 80% of the population GONE, it's not worth getting into a game that you have to pay to play and no one is on that much anymore.

In the clearance section of the Electronics department, they had stacks of Xbox 360, Xbox, PS3, and PS2 games. Some were marked at $3.76. It appeared that they were mostly EA games. Here are some of the games I saw:
Madden 07 - $3.67
NCAA March Madness 07 - $3.67
Def Jam: Icon - $3.67
All-Pro Football 2k8 - $14.99
NBA Street Homecourt - $29.99 (I'm guessing this one will drop soon.)
NBA Street Homecourt - $3.67
Madden 07 - $3.67

Also, this Target has added an "Under $20" games aisle. Most of the 360 titles were of the Platinum Hits variety, but they had some good stuff if you haven't haven't played some of the older games. They had games for pretty much all the consoles.

LEGO Star Wars II The Original Trilogy - $19.99
Viva Pinata - $19.99

That would cover envelope, postage, gas and time and I would make a few couple bucks off it. Also, I'm not going to risk sending any games until I receive payment. my store has an assload of clearance games piled up on an endcap all $15-30 though + command and conquer 360 for $41.98? The 1st DDR 360 bundle for $54.98? (didn't scan it). Nothing good enough for me to buy but they have enough of each to last a few more price drops i hope.

Also while browsing the cases they were half empty and red tags all over.

Just returned from Target in Albuquerque... DefJam Icon for 360 is down to $7.46. They also had plenty of the previously mentioned DefJam Icon for PS3 for $14.98.

HOWEVER, the sticker on all the 360 DefJams is not the little red clearance sticker, but rather the big, bar-coded 'AS IS' sticker. Though the packages were all undamaged and in original wrapping. Either way, that price might indicate it's only for that particular store.
