This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Yes, nice big star wars b wing set. Was $24 at my target, other was sold out. Some of the other non SW legos are clearanced, esp Bionicle.

Transformer battlers (rockem sock em knockoff) and the mini optimus prime die cast set (that does not transform) was on clerance - that one was a target exclusive.

OH! and in the TOYS section the Air hogs RC plane flight simulator for the PC is 50% off at $5. Target exclusive. Nice touch thouh is it includes a ps2-styled USB game controller that probably works on any windows game....
 
Damn, Star Wars lego sets are on clearance now?? I'm gonna check that out - I can get those and stash them away for my son for Christmas. You know, Christmas the cheap-ass way!

Yes, I spent all day shopping today and didn't get any freelance writing done :(

Spent $100 at 2 targets. The b-wing is the only Star wars set I saw, though, or heard about. Polly Pockets are widely on clearance, too.

I think we are now set for at least 2 years of christmases and birthdays for our 4...
 
Don't know if it's been mentioned, but the 360 Halo faceplate (with the exclusive Halo pics/theme code) is down to $4.98 from $19.99.

No idea if there's more clearance faceplates, though I picked up the silver one a few months ago for $5 on clearance there. Most likely OOS though by now.

It has been this price for at least 2 months. I was shocked when I saw the price and knew nothing about it. Guess I was slacking in my CAG research:p Wish I could have scored one, but there is always other clearances to score one down the road.

Like many of you, my local Target has been quite lacking in the clearance department of late. Let's hope these markdowns are a hint of better things to come:

just got back from Target, like 5 mins before closing.

man, those TF: Movie toys are flying off the shelf now. totally gone.
so don't expect anymore drops. i'm betting those leader class and voyager toys will be gone in the next couple of days. especially around my area. :cold:
 
I actually found the B-Wing Star Wars Lego set tonight and was all set on getting it for Christmas for my son. But then I took a look at it - it is a really small set with some not-so-great characters in it. It is still too much at $24 or whatever. The good thing is this particular Target had a ton of them, so maybe I'll be able to pick it up on a subsequent drop. If not, no big deal. I didn't think it was worth it. Are the FW'ers really all that excited over it? Now, if it had been some of the other sets I would have jumped on it, but they all scanned regular price.

The only Star Wars Lego set I've seen recently that isnt ridiculously overpriced is the V-Wing, which is a pretty cool little ship with a pilot for $10. Gotta remember you're paying for both the Lego name brand AND the Star Wars license.

What? They already dropped 10%? Is that really clearance, or is it just a sale? I mean, the movie hasn't even been out for a week now.

man, those RoboVision were already gone before the movie came out. :roll:

it's on weekly sale, and not clearance. the price tag/card has a sale duration printed from 7/8 to 7/14.

i didn't see any of those orange stickers like the other toys. normally they would have it on clearance, with a $ XX.98 sticker, but in this case, none.

be sure to price check or scan it, coz some targets don't have it on "sale"

as for the Legos, no drops yet either in my area. so it looks like YMMV to me.:roll:
 
I picked up bumblebee today for 13 bucks. Also saw optimus prime/megatron (leader class) at one target for 44, and another for 35.99. The voyagers were on sale for 17.99, but I can't decide if I should get them or not. Will they go any cheaper than 17.99, and if they sell out, are they ever coming back?

$13 is a good price for the unleashed bumblebee.

but the leader class for $44?!?! man, that target needs to update their prices. leader class goes for $39.99 as far as i know.

unless you visited a Fry's Electronics store, they're selling it for $45 :roll:
 
Anyone know any targets in the Charlotte, NC area that have any good clearance? I was in the store in Matthew tonight and they had zero, just some HP printers and some out of box stereo systems for only 20% off, even though they came with no box.
 
Slightly off topic question: Does anyone know of a retailer currently carrying the jewel case version of Vice City for the PC? I want to replay it on my new PC with the video and audio maxed out (I've only played it on PS2). I see Target still has the GTA III jewel case sitting around, but I cant find Vice City anywhere besides eBay.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but my Target had all the Michael Graves board games sets for 25% off. I'll but hitting that up next Monday to hopefully get Monopoly and Scrabble at 50% off.

Besides Monopoly and Scrabble, they had Mancala, Solitaire, Poker, some kids' blocks game, and a plastic mobile kit.

Are any of the Transformers toys actually on clearance or is it just a sale with a certain percentage taken off? Anyone that can verify would be great-- thank you!

The bumblebee unleashed thing at my target was clearanced. Orange sticker and all.

I have a question about the Robovision Optimus Primes... Those haven't been discontinued, have they? Is Target still getting shipments of them? I know they're releasing the same version but in Voyager packaging, but I think the robovision one will be the more valuable one. Is Target still getting these? Thanks.

I'm waiting for these to go down as well. I did see Buckaroo Banzai for 8$ 50% off, thats a great game for small kids.

the target that i visited tonight was lame, they still have Army Men: RTS (GC) for $9.99 locked up in a glass case. while the end cap (aka $19.99 rack) has some Mario Kart (GC). but it rang $29.99.
wow, they got a $30 game outside, while a $10 locked up inside the glass case? weird.

but I noticed they had Marvel Ultimate Aliance (PS2) for $19.99. perm price drop? i could be reading something wrong here.
 
i really dont feel like going to target anymore to check for clearance items. been disapointed for the past 2 months now.. i noticed that they send more and more clearance items to Goodwill sooner than before.

if anyone happen to be there, check to see if they still have Guitar Hero 2 for the 360, if they do check the price (they should be out in the open cause they are big). last weekend i went to 2 Goodwills and saw 2 or 3 of them there marked as $70 (i know, goodwill prices these like they bought them or something!). i dont think it came from anywhere else other than Target.

At my store they have a PS3 endcap with $59.99 games sitting outside and have $19.99 PS2 games in the case.

Today, at the Target in Oceanside, CA, I spotted these on clearance:

3 pack Optimus Prime Titaniums
Transformers Character head communicators
Black-dot front of the store stuff (Simpsons and Transformers $1 merchandise)

The Lego B-Wing that was there last week at $24 is gone. This is the only store near me that clearanced it, and it didn't last long.

This so had my hopes up. It's just Buckaroo. Would have been one heck of a twisted kids game, though.

Warhammer40K Gold: $13.98

at the Target on Hull street in Richmond VA. Several copies of both. Hasn't 40K gold been clearanced before?
