Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

I actually find plenty of items with Target's red clearance stickers on them at my local Goodwill (the stickers are somewhat peeled off). So at least they donate them and don't just junk them. Unfortunately, Goodwill generally marks up past what Target's last clearance price was.

About the $889 price on the shelf, I used to work in retail and usually when something like that comes up, it is an endcap that the vendor shipped to them and that I think is the total price of everything on the endcap. I used to see that from time to time, but it was usually stuff on a cardboard endcap or 4 way bulk stack.

Do you guys think its really clearanced (and thus will continue to drop) or just placed their by mistake?

PS3 Homecourt was at 14.98 Monday at my local Targets. Try scanning them and see what you get. I had to do so with THPG:LE due to it still having the 29.50 sticker still on it.

That was probably what it was I saw. Although the endcap had metal shelves the Wii games are setting in cardboard "stackers" to display them.

I went to the target in Lakewood, WA they had a ton of Tiger Woods 07 for the 360 but they all had a $25 sticker on them. I scanned them to be safe and sure enought they rang up $25 so I passed on them. I hope they lower the price soon I would love to grab one but I dont want to pay more than $7 for it. I also saw a ton of The Godfather for the Wii at teh Tacoma, WA Target if any one is looking for that they were ringing up at $25.

I'm a cheap bastard so 19.99 is little step especially since I don't even have a Wii. I knew that was going to be the scenario since the manager was standing steps away. I've been lucky on some INFO NOT AVAILABLE scans. Got lucky with a old ass THP8 and College Hoops 2007 both 360 the same day at another Target, gave $7.48 price and the clerk entered it. Must be some random XMAS returns or something?

I saw Kane & Lynch, Tabula Rasa, Two Worlds, and TimeShift all on the PC for $34.98. And all the original Xbox games from the "cheap" rack were on clearance for $4.98 - $6.98. Didn't see any other console games listed as clearance. I wanted Stuntman PS3. Oh well, it's not like I need another game right now.

What i did find was a Joytech DS travel kit with an As Is price of $7.98, down from $29.99. I need a stylus so I got it. It had 3 DS Lite stylus in black, white, and pink, with ridges for extra grip. Three regular DS stylus that were metallic and had a foam grip, and they were red, silver, and blue. A cheap set of earphones with a volume adjuster and a shirt clip. Four DS cart cases. A screen wipe thingy, kinda like a chalkboard eraser. And a battery pack that takes 4 AAA batteries (and includes 4 Energizers) that supposedly will give a DS/Lite 5 hours of play, with individual plugs for each the DS and Lite.

Nothing dropped at my local Target. Most games ringing up as $20.XX or 30.XX. All the Tony Hawk games disappeared though. Madden 07 didn't ring up and they wanted to charge me $30. I say said no thanks to that and left empty handed.

Remember a few weeks ago when they had the "Huge" list of SKUs clearanced at BB?? It was one of the games that had been clearanced at most stores. I picked it up and just sent it out today in a trade on Goozex. It still fetches 750 points.

Some of the others clearanced were Spiderman 3, Bullet Witch, Vampyre Rain, ICON (I think), and WSOP and All-In Poker

TimeShift, Tabula Rasa, Kane & Lynch and Two Worlds were all $24.98. I picked up a grand total of...none of those.

Edit: Nice MVP, I have THPG:LE in my Goozex queue too to send out. Can't be an easy 750 points.

Did the same...I might try and pick up Spider-Man 3 (9.99), another copy of Stuntman, and Pro Evo Soccer at BB and put them in my queue. Also Cromico... Winning Eleven Pro Evoulution 2007 and UEFA 06-07 were clearanced in that BB markdown...

Now back to Target deals...

Was Kane & Lynch in display or on clearance shelf? (I already have it, but it would be a good flip...or trade on Goozex).

I saw at least a dozen copies a few months ago, but it was only at one store in the San Diego area. And unfortunately, it never dropped to around $15 because those copies kept trickling away at around $20. Good luck.

Those were all PC and all on a clearance endcap. I haven't looked, but I can't imagine the Goozex points you'd get from the PC games would be worth the $25. I have UEFA on hold in my queue just to save a spot. I snagged it off the Amazon deal.

How long do you think it will take before Target stocks the shelves with product again. My local Target, that is like 6 months old, has almost no 360 inventory still after a month has passed since Christmas shopping rush. They get in the new games, but I saw 3 spots in the case holding 2 copies of Madden 08. This is the same for most of the shelf space for the 360 looked like how every many COD4 were split over 3 spots, noticed the nintendo section was bare also, didn't look at the ps3 but I know for the past month when I have gone in, and just looked they were out of Live Points and Live Gold memberships also. The PC section looked just as bad with value/kid software stretched out to cover the aisle and only a small portion being higher level gaming and still on a few copies. The open aisle of mostly

Or get the code off of the shelf label and punch it into a scanner if your Target has working number pads on their scanners.

And how is everyone getting Ghost Squad for $12? It isn't in the Target system as i scanned it along with Madden 07 and Splinter Cell Double Agent.

Looking on completed auctions alot of them are ending around $16-$20 new shipped. I'd imagine it would be quite awhile before you could snag a new copy for $12ish, and wasn't sure if the rest of my copies would be gone by then or how long it would be so I went the route of eBay.

Edit: Forgot to mention Timeshift, not sure on Tabula Rasa prices but thats a MMORPG.

Try taking a copy of Ghost Squad up to the front cashiers. It will come up out of the system and from there it depends on the cashier. Some will give it to you for a low price while others will price check it and charge full price.

Another trick I used awhile back was to purchase the game at the pharmacy counter. I did this with some out of the system DS games last year when I had to pick up a prescription. The pharmacist didn't want to bother with looking up the price and gave me the DS games for $5.
