Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Mine had an arseload of those Halo ActionClix for $3.xx (like 2 shelves worth, then two hanging rods worth_ Also, some brand of gaming chair w/speakers, for $30.xx. Are those Sonic Colecos rare? Mine has about 20 or so for 7-ish. I guess I could pick some up if a lot of CAGS want one.
Also, when you scan something at those scan stations, are they the final price, or will they ring differently at checkout at a register? There was a GH3 for 360 just sitting there, unmarked. Ran it through a scanner, came up normal price. Lines for the registers were insanley long, so I just hid it behind a bunch of fitness videos for now.

One of the Target's close to me had a whole endcap full of those Halo Actionclix on clearance as well. Another thing I noticed is the PSP AV and component cables now ring up "out of the system" if you can find them. The same store with the actionclix had two sets of the AV cables left. One had been opened was was stickered "as is" for $3.98, the other was brand new and stickered $9.98.

If the new one didn't have a sticker I would've taken it to the register to see if I could get it cheaper.

I snagged a copy of THPG LE for 7.48 today. Came up as 0.00 and Clerk let me suggest a clearance price. ymmv on that of course.

Another target I went to had both DDR Universe bundles (1 and 2) for 19.99. I'm not a huge DDR fan and the secondary market isn't that great for them.

The Target I go to now for some reason merged their "clearance" titles with titles that have "Greatest Hits" prices and such, meaning that the place they had clearance titles now has Greatest Hits and other "cheap" priced titles. This is the Mall 205 Portland, OR Target store.

Take it to the regular cashier.

"I scanned this but it keeps ringing up at 0.00 and there is no tag"
-They will check that

"It was on the clearance shelf"
-They might offer a price

If its cheap, buy.
If its too high, say so

"Other games on the clearance shelf are 7.48, etc."
"It's an old game, etc."


Make sure you take it to the cashier for best results.

My target has kane and lynch, and 150 copies of Tabula Rosa on clearance...

They also had Tony Hawk on clearance... is that one any good? I haven't played those for so long I wonder if I would still enjoy them.

I almost got the DDR Universe 2 bundle for 19.99 since it was printed on the shelf, but another clerk called management to make sure and then I got rejected. Oh well, didn't really want it for myself so I didn't argue. Then I go to see if Tony Hawk has dropped to 7.50 as a clerk is putting them into a cart of clearance junk. I asked if I could buy one and she tells me "No, these are going to salvage." Two near misses in one day. Did notice some new items on clearance:

360 Spiderman Friend or Foe = 35.00
360 Avatar Burning Earth = 35.00 (this game just came out last month???)
360 Bee Movie = 35.00
Wii Tony Hawk Proving Ground = 35.00
PS3 Ninja Gaiden = 42.00
PS3 NHL 08 = 42.00

Ninja Gaiden was only at one Target (Manassas, VA) which had about 3 copies, but I didn't bite on a redux of an Xbox game I already own.

Edit: Tony Hawk was Not in System when I typed the DCPI # in the price checker of two different stores so you might not want to sit on this one too long or it could go *poof*.
