This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

ninja gaiden, folk lore, and jericho were 50% off at 29.99. and graw 2 for ps3 was 19.99. i think i'm going back tomorrow to pick up ninja gaiden, but i'll just kick myself if there is one left at 15 next monday.

thanks for chiming in with the fact that i don't think.

my twisted reasoning was, that with two left, someone else on the edge about it would be more likely to wait. but if i buy one, and there is just one left, they'd be more likely to get it.

Got to say, picked up Jericho and Folklore recently... not too keen on Folklore, but Jericho is REALLY fun. GREAT graphics... the best scary castle scenes I've seen in a game.

Probably MSRP, since Universe 2 is new and not clearanced, while Universe is the one that clearanced.

I've had the same issue and I ended up buying at the earlier price, waiting until it dropped (and the other 2 sold) and returning it before closing one night and coming back the next morning to rebuy. I felt a little dirty, but hey.

i may do this. or attempt a return/rebuy since the people at my target are exceptionally nice.

Yeah, my local Target had an endcap filled with clearanced iPod Touches. They were $14.98. They're over next to the $7.49 iPhones.

I passed, waiting for Fuzion Frenzy to drop.
 
If anyone can pick me up a cheap copy of timeshift or Kane and Lynch or Tabula Rasa, ill make it worth your time.
 
Hmm...

The Chantilly, VA target price hiked Time Shift and K&L to 34.99 clearance.

They had one copy of Godfather Wii for 27.99 from 49.99...so I passed. I expect that one to be gone in the next day or so.
 
Picked up a copy of THPG for $7.48. It rang up with no price and the cashier tried to ring it up for the sticker on the front. I told him it was with a pile for that price and he was set. Now I need to try and get a copy of Folklore. The way I figure it, if I get the game for $29.98 and all of the content for less than $30 on the Playstation Store, that's a ton of gaming for a regular game price. Plus if the price drops next week... all the better.
 
Picked up bioshock for 24.99, kane and lynch for 12.49, and timeshift for 12.49 as well. I love these target deals, ive probably bought 6 PC games for under 70$. with these saving pc gaming is cheaper than console gaming in the long run.
 
Chantilly is where I saw the lady taking away all the Tony Hawks...she was older, looked like my grandmother 'cept she was meaner than snake spit. I asked for just one copy of Tony Hawk and she said "no" and I said "really?" and then she said "I SAID NO".

Yeah Rocko has it right...I was trying to get the new DDR 2 at the old DDR price since the old tag was the only one on the shelf.

I saw Folklore at $41.98 too but I don't own PS3 yet, so if it ever drops below $20, I might pick it up...

I was amazed at the price on Transformers even though I heard it was average. Any Wii games I can get for that price (except the crappy budget Gamestop games) are worth picking up.

I'd heard that Kim Possible was a pretty good 2D game on PS2, so I figured I'd take a shot.

Strangely, the 208 disc case was cheaper than the 200 disc case. Weird.
 
Folklore, IMO, is a steal at that price. I bought it for $60 and I don't regret it, but that's just me. If Jericho drops below $20, I'll get it. I'll definitely have to pick up GRAW 2 for $19 though. Fantastic news.
 
All of the THPG at the Carlisle, PA target got hiked up to 34.98 and put into the glass case. It had a sticker on it that said "Free with 360 purchase".

Oh... I have the yet to be installed PC version. I heard the Interactivity of the Wii version was ok. I pretty much have a strong policy. If they have a version for the PC, I will most likely buy the PC version over anything else.
 
Just came back from Target near me and Tabula Rasa, Kane +Lynch, Timeshift were still $24.98 each. The Ship and Rome TW gold are also supposed to be clearanced according to this list but they were still $19.99 each. Did score an Xbox Call of Duty 2 (the big red one for $4.07). When do they do the drops for video games? Maybe Tuesday will be better.
 
success finally the target in Edgewater NJ had DOA4 Platinum Hits, Tony Hawk Proving Ground, & Stuntman for 14.98 each... not the lowest for THPG but still pretty good also had madden and ncaa 06 for 7.48 but not worth it

Damn good idea, I bought one from target a few weeks ago, played it abit and traded it in for $19 at gamecrazy last week (with MVP) ...

Speaking of Target salvage, I know alot of people have had luck going to Goodwill to get salvaged items. I tried going to a couple of the closest GWs and saw nothing resembling salvaged Target clearance items at all and upon inquiry on 3 or 4 occasions the employees at the Target in question used the words ship back to the manufacturer. They aren't really shipping back to individual manufacturers, right? Anybody know what you're local Target does with salvaged stuff besides Goodwill?

Before the servers crashed some people reported Company of Heroes for really cheap. Were those As Is? I've checked most Targets in the area and they all rang up 19.99 or 29.99 for the CE or whatever. Anybody else had luck with this game?

Last week I saw both the regular edition AND collectors (?) edition of Company of Heroes for 19.99 at Fairlakes, VA.

Passed on that. Don't think my computer can handle it.
 
I was at Target in Clark, NJ today and they had that infamous red mark down sticker on the Folk Lore games. $41.98. I am sure it will drop again soon.

Has anyone played this game? I have been watching it, but not quite sure.

I think this game is awful. It looks kind of nice, and would be kind of fun if it wasn't so TALKY. Man...it's just BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH inbetween missions. So boring. Also, the downloadable dungeon hack mode is totally pointless. I don't get it.

I think it's awesome. I just started on Keats' Ch. 4 and I've loved it so far. The game is gorgeous, and has a distinctive style that took me by surprise. The comic book approach to the cutscenes is something I found really impressive; I hope it's implemented well in future RPGs. As for it being talky, it's an RPG - a JRPG at that. Text-heaviness is to be expected.
 
Game is boring. Story is cool.

Not even close to being classified as a JRPG in any sense. Poster above is a viral marketer. Ban her. It.
