Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

This is the first time I've let something sit on the clearance rack until it dropped to 50% off and been successful in actually getting a copy. It probably helped that they hadn't restickered the clearance games and they read $13.98.

Well, all the Logitech PS2 controllers suddenly disappeared at Target. Hmmm...my suspicions led me to Goodwill where a guy had the very last one in his hand, marked $10. Dammit. What a waste of friggin time checking on those damn things. They did have a few of those bizarre Psyclone tilt sense controllers. Were there even any tilt sensitive games for PS2?

I asked the employees at one store to check the last price for me, and they tried but couldn't even sell it to me because they were for salvage already...

Oh, and I saw College Hoops 2K6 (??) for the xbox 360 at 50% off, for $9.98...

Does anyone remember if Homecourt started at 15% off or 30%? I thought it started at 30% making it $42 on it's first round of clearance.

Anyway, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. rang up full price @ 29.99 at my Targets.

At least at the Targets here, it started off at 30% - I could tell because there were two stickers on the game, one for the 30% off price and another for the 50% off (they're pretty lazy about removing the old sticker tags here)

I was at Target today and I found a small treasure trove of assorted electronics clearances. They had TDK 15 pack DVD+Rs and DVD-Rs for 50% off, $3.24. Luckily, I was sent to there to buy a 100 pack of DVD+R, which would have come out at $43. I got 150 +Rs for $32.40. They had a bunch of random iPod Nano cases. Ummm... they had DragonBall Z: Legend of the Dragon on DVD for $3.XX on dvd.

As for gaming related stuff: This guitar stand + case + sticker thing for the Guitar Hero controllers in the clearance area but i didn't notice if they were actually clearanced... Snoopy Vs The Red Baron on the PC for $4.9X. Avatar on the GBA, don't remember the price. Rome: Total War on the PC, didn't check the price. Some Bratz game on the PC, didn't check the price. The Movies for the PC was there but didn't have a tag. Outlaw Tennis on the Xbox was $4.98. As was Black on the XB. NFL Head Coach on the PS2 had no sticker. I'm pretty sure I saw either NBA LIve 07 or 08 on the PS2... NBA Street Homecourt on the 360 was $29.98. Fight Night Round 3 on the PS3 was $2x.xx. Tiger Woods PGA eiher 07 or 08 was a few dollars less than Fight Night but again i don't remember how much. I saw Major league Baseball 2K7 50% on every console. It was I think $20.98 on the PS3. I saw this Wii Switch N carry Essentials kit for $24.98 with 2 wiimote condoms, a disc wallet, and a 512 SD card. And in the actual game cases, I saw that all copies of Shrek 3, Harry Potter and the something or other, and MLB 2K7 were all clearanced, 50% off. And I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting more stuff. As you guys can tell from me forgetting the prices on everything, my memory isn't horribly sharp.

One Target I went to had Tomb Raider Legends 360 for 7.50 but none in stock. Went to another one and picked it up for 14.98. Then brought it back to the Target near my house but they wouldn't price match it.

I picked up three of those TDK DVD +R packs. But they were the 25 packs and I got 2 of them for 2.50 each, and one for 1.34 (the next trip, found it under some other stuff). Really was awesome.

I remembered something else! Oddly enough, i forgot something I bought. but yeah, they had 3 different PS2 controllers, all for $10.04. The EA Sports/Logitech one. The other one from Logitech, it was Cool something or Chill something... And the Psyclone tilt controller. I got the tilt controller. Hopefully I'll have use for it and it won't just become a waste of space like my N64 Tilt/rumble pak.

I think it was a few dollars more than that. I want to say.... $23.98?

Also, something else I remembered if those World of Warcraft trial discs. Odd, because every Target i know they sued to have them clearanced cleared out of them long ago. And they used those big clearance stickers instead of the small, sexy ones. And of course the price... they were $0.46.

AND another thing I am remembered is the PS3 A/V cables. They were scattered around the different clearance sections (there were 3 or 4 at this store within a few yards of each other) and had different prices. I think I saw one for $6.98... $4.98... and one or 2 other prices.

Also, I tried the Psyclone Tilt Sense controller(the one for $10.04) with Ace Combat 5. It works pretty well. Takes time to get used to and isn't good to use during very hard spots, but it reads the tilt very well. Haven't had a problem with the wireless connectivity. It's nice and rubbery. The buttons feel good and responsive. The only problem I have is that the Connect (to dongle) button is too close to the Start button. So if i press it, the controller starts trying to get a signal and doesn't work. But this is easily resolved by using your right index finger to turn it off and on quickly. The tilt and power switch are well positioned in the backand firm/small enough that you won't move them accidentally. So... I like it. If anyone needs a controller, I say go for it.

--Some sports games for the PSP


They also had System Mechanic 2007 on clearance for $9.98. Not a bad price for the program, though you can use CCleaner for free (and probably with the same results.)

I assume that this means the MVP 07 is 7.48 along with whatever else in that group also hit 75%. I'm pretty sure that Burnout Dominator would be 9.98 as it was in that group.

The 50% 9.98 games (like 360: Cod2, XBLA Unplugged, Xbox: Black, etc) were still 9.98.

Bionicle 360 was still 14.98 so I assume Tomb Raider and Godfather are also still at 50% off.

When did Call of Juarez appear? Anybody scan it to see if it dropped?

If you want it for 20, just try to buy it and when it rings up out of system, have them get a hand scanner to get the last price. I

I found three Xbox 360 Faceplate Woody on an end cap with a bunch of other clearanced items in electronics. They came up as $0.00. The lady that was at the checkout told me that they were $14.99 so I passed.

Gotcha. Thought maybe they weren't tagged for you. That happens every so often or sometimes just often. Everything I've heard says we both were saved from wasting $10 anyway.

it's so funny what a "wildcard" it is when a clearance item rings up out of the system. Several months back I got Viewtiful Joe for the DS for $5 because it rang up out of system but the guy at the pharmacy counter let me name my price.

Can anyone confirm this anywhere else? I've been watching these (all the rockers, actually) assuming they would clear them out for winter but I haven't seen any prices drop locally the few times I've checked.

I can confirm seeing it for that price at a couple of the Targets in San Diego. They had an endcap full of 'em.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer for Wii, PS3, 360: 20.98
C&C Tiberium Wars (360): 40.98

Didn't buy any of them, but C&C could be worth it at $20.

Interestingly, they had a ton of X-Men Legends II for Xbox for 9.98. The other Target near me has a ton of that for the PS2, none for the Xbox, same price. It's not BC on the 360, btw.
