Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Stopped at Target in Layton Utah on the way home. They didn't have Folklore, Ninja Gaiden or Blue Dragon. They mostly had Avatar, Tony Hawk Project 8 for Xbox, a couple Project Gotham 4 for $29, a Project Gotham 3 for $13, an Xbox 360 to PC wireless adapter for $10, a bunch of PC games, and a bunch of 128mb jump drives for $3. On the flip side I stopped at the FYE next door and found Bioshock had been restocked and were still ringing up for $20 so I grabbed one. By the way if anyone wants to trade a Folklore or Ninja Gaiden for a Bioshock, hit me up with a pm.

They had about 15 copies of PGR4 for $29.98 and 5 copies of Viva Pinata Party Animals for $12 or 14, can't remember which.

I then went back to my room and did the stock check, 0 copies left. I went back a few days later and both copies were right where I left them (in a stack of games behind an xbox360 box behind the locked glass). I haven't figured out what the issue is.

I would not trust that site. At all. It has been completely wrong for me. It says there's no Crackdown in my state.
Which is completely wrong. 3/4 of my stores have it.

LOL Seriously? Generous on here is when you offer people the Gamerush/Gamecrazy trade value+50%+shipping+money for their time+money for gas(since as we know those people are making a SPECIAL TRIP JUST FOR YOU)+money for whatever other cockamamie excuses they come up with.

I've done so many solids for people on here before, yet when/if I ask for 'cost+real shipping costs' for a game I'm now looking for, I get the above shpeel.

This community was once about helping other gamers to get games cheap, but unless you find the games you're looking for at your own local stores, you're SOL, especially if you're looking for 'charity'(ie them not tacking on $10 just for the of it) from many on here.

Not everyone does this, but a good deal do and it's sickening.

OK, I was going to let this one go, but I just can't. I'm a relatively new CAG compared to IAmTheCheapestGamer, so I can't pine for the "good ol' days", but in the year I've been an active member I've met with nothing but the most generous group I've come across online. I'm getting a little sappy here, but what it boils down to is that I just sold a couple of the Costco Wii games for "cost" to other members. That means 9% sales tax on the original price ($1.45), paypal "tax" (10%) and the cheapest possible shipping of media mail ($2.31) so we're already at $5, or 50% of IATCG's unacceptable "markup". Add to that the fact that I actually did make a special trip for people in that thread and that gas is $3.60 a gallon here and I get paid more than $25/hour, so how much is my time worth? Each of the buyers actually pitched me a little extra without me asking.

Yes, some people will try to gouge you. Yes, there are members who try to make a profit for themselves on here. Just ignore them, and focus on the good ones. You'd be amazed at how many CAG heartstrings are tugged by someone appealing to generosity. NamelessMC, if I had copies at my Target I'd get one for you in a heartbeat.

Karma comes around - I've shipped one Elebits out for $14.50 shipped (9.98 cost + 0.78 tax plus FC/DC 2.73). That's roughly the price I'm shipping them for just as a way to give back to CAG's that might help me out if there was something I was looking for. I think I might have made a quarter or something after all is said and done.

Could I easily eBay them for a $17 BIN and tack on $5 for shipping? Probably, but that would make me a dick.
