Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Well, my Target that had PS3 Simpsons and Orange Box at $24.98/$29.98 forever was GONE of both... really a bummer as I thought this was the week they'd drop. Not sure if they were picked up or packed up for Goodwill. (I can see OB selling; but they had had Simpsons PS3 forever at $24.98) they were in the midst of loading up with new clearance stuff (had 3 boxes, printed "Target Electronics Clearance Area"). Most of it was various shovelware, but did see Tourist Trophy PS2 for $9.98.

Actually my Target also had The Simpsons game for $24.98 (last copy) as well as a ton of copies of Tourist Trophy for PS2 at $9.98 too. I didn't want The Simpsons or TT but I have never seen EITHER of these games on clearance until today.

They also had the blue battery packs for 360 controllers for like $8.xx as well as Bleach (Wii) for $34.xx, Tomb Raider (Wii) for $20.xx, and Logan's Shadow (PSP) for like $24.xx which I will get once it drops. I actually didn't want The Orange Box for PS3 cause I already have it for the 360, but I picked it up for a trade in to BB, CAG, or maybe to play it but I wasn't sure.

finally found the clearance section for all the games. The sales associate was helping a customer with a game when they asked about the red label. I overheard what was going on. the clerk took the customers to a section way out of the way of the electronics where stacks of clearance items lay. I saw some Monster Madness games for 9.98 so I'll go back on wed with the coupon.

Very possible its marked wrong, the 15 dollar copy I bought was marked 30 along with 5-6 other copies of PGR4.

A good majority of the time, yes if you scan the game it should have the "correct" clearance price, however exact clearance prices vary store by store. Ask the associate to take the game out and scan it for you next time. Sometimes they will or if they are dbags then they will just tell you the price that's on the sticker.

each target drops prices on its clearance games differently. The price drops are not uniform among all stores (unless it's a universal price drop on the game itself).

All target clearance prices are YMMV.

No one has reported anything significant today, just seems like the games that have been reduced over the past couple months are dropping at more locations. You can check the last 4-5 pages to see what games everyone is posting, or look at the OP for games that have recent dates next to them.

Print out the barcode (check OP on how to do this) and check the price at any scanner. No need to bother the "suddenly busy" Target employees.

Has anyone heard of Target clearancing and then un-clearancing a game before? I know it happens at TRU (happened to me twice) but this is new for Target.

Didn't notice any Wii games on clearance.

The games might have still scanned at the clearance price even though they appeared to be full price in the glass case. The best way to tell is to print out a upc and scan them on your own. I always see games behind the glass that dont have the red clearance stickers yet, but scan at the clearance price.

One nearby store has PGR4 listed as "limited availability", but when I tried calling them, I spoke with a moron who seemed to be completely ignorant of their inventory system. So... yeah. That didn't help at all. What exactly does "limited availability" mean? How often are the online inventories updated?

You can also just write down the code on the sticker and then punch it in at the scanner too.
