Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Supreme Commander Forged Alliance is a stand alone expansion pack which does mean you don't need the original to play it, but you also will not have the originals campaigns and be limited to the seraphim faction in online multiplayer without the origanl Supreme Commanders key.

Thanks for that info, i would have bought just fragile alliance if i saw both at a target clearance. How is supreme comander anyhow? I hear it is an ultra complex game, that is not very exciting. But i guess since it is coming to the 360 it couldn't have done that badly.

By the way no price drops in the DFW, Texas area. Im probably going to go check tomorrow and friday for something to drop.

I have both Supcom standalone games and it's honestly one of the best RTS I've played in a long long while. The maps are easily up to 100 times bigger than any rts out there and the units are made well to utilize the size. Note that you have to have a semi powerful rig to play decently with 3-4 other people and a hardcore over the top rig to play a full 8 person game. Though 3-5 is what your gonna find a lot of online so long as your rig is decent it will run fine. A dual core 2 or quad is highly recommended with something like an 8800 series card.

Depends. 1 of my Targets has all of them behind glass with a Red Clearance Tag on them. My other target has the more popular clearance item such as the PS3 ones and newer 360 ones behind glass but has another isle of games and back endcaps that have some on it too like Crackdown. So check both.

Markdowns in Electronics are generally Monday afternoon or evening, so a good time to check is Tuesday morning.

Actually markdowns start bright and early Monday morning and roll by dept. through the store till as late as Friday.

That is what I have been told as well. Some guys in the Target electronics dept. around me said it is Monday after 12, another guy at another Target told me it was usually Thursdays at lunch.

The latter employee also told me it was done buy a specific Target agent who went from store to store; and that markdowns depended on store specific sales info (ie. console catagory sales, game genre sales and even sales by ESRB ratings). Thus explaining why even locally the prices vary so much.

Right, but the time of day varies by store and Electronics is scheduled for Monday, so even if they get behind it is usually done by Monday night at most stores. I just wouldn't rush in Monday morning expecting markdowns. I think we're all agreeing.

The Target I picked up Crackdown for $14.98 today had it for $29.98 on Monday morning, so who knows when they did the price adjust. Oddly enough the other local Target by me still had Stranglehold for $41.98 while I picked it up this morning for $14.98.

I also picked up Universal War for 6$, I love target, I paid cash for it, then returned it using the credit card I had used to buy an earlier copy for 13$, and was refunded the full original higher amount. Which means I now can safely open items I intend to keep and still get a refund on any clearance difference as long as I remember to use a different form of payment.
