Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

It worked. After taking away all the PS3 Folklore because "they can't see it today because it's not in our system", they put them back out again with an as-is sticker for... get this... $3.76.

A certain YMMV, but it's something you might want to know about if you find yourself in such a situation. Let them take it and check back again.

Ya know, I felt the same way about the 360 and the limited BC. I thought I would play more of the older games, but since CAG keeps me stacked with cheap/clearance 360 games, I havent felt the need to play any of the older Xbox1 games (even though I bought a few).

I guess MS was on to something when they originally said "no one wants to play older games" (obviosly *some* do, but I guess that's a real small (yet vocal) minority)

Came back from a Target, found none of the stuff on clearance, but I did see NWN 2 for $20.98 I believe, and the expansion for around 10-ish.

Yeah, you are right about psx compatability (all models play psx games). He was specifically asking about the ps2 emotion engine, so I was only addressing the ps2 backwards compatability (non-existent on the 40 gig, software emulation on the 80 gig, and hardware emulation on the original 60 and 20 gig versions).

Though the original 60 gig ps3 still has some compatability issues with ps2 games (for example, some of the titles that utilize peripherals, such as the guncon 2, have problems)

If you have a PC that can handle the game well, get the PC version. The PC version handles more players, and actually gets updates, and the updates will always be free.

If you don't have a PC but have both a 360 and PS3, buy the 360 version (keep in mind you MAY have to pay for updates that are free on PC; price, if any, is TBD). PS3 version suffered from an inferior port with slowdown issues.

Duluth, MN had loads of copies of 360: marvel ultimate alliance, gr: advanced warfighter, crackdowns, 1 copy of pgr3 PS2: SotC, Naruto games and some ps3 games (fear, marvel ultimate alliance, genji, nba homecourt). also included was 1 copy of supreme commander at 14.98.

i checked the pc games section and the NWN2 expansion was at 24.98 and i saw the dawn of war platinum (dawn of war goty edition, winter assault and dark crusade) at 20.98. damn, i REALLY should have picked that up...but i picked marvel ultimate alliance for 360 instead. plus i already had the pack that had dawn of war and winter assault in it.

It really depends on the store, some will update the price on Monday Morning, some on Monday night and some on Tuesday and others are just completely out of it and take even longer.

That would be nice. Unfortunately my local Target does drops every 2 weeks. Even though they drop prices every week on different items I was told that video games usually take 2 weeks to drop (i.e. Simpsons 360 should drop to $12.98 as this Monday will be the second week of the initial drop to $24.98)

This is great cannon fodder if you're looking for games to pad out the trade 3 get extra 20% deal at GS, as I've said in the other thread, you can get 45$ for Super Smash Brothers at GS if you use that deal and the edge card. I'm buying the game from GR and transferring my credit to GS.

I've done it a few times at Target in Montgomery. Take in the receipt, and they adjusted the price. Probably depends on the store staff though. Just make sure you do it before it gets deleted from their system.

I *really* wanted Orange Box... Folklore I would have picked up for that price.

Insult to injury, the only clearance game they had that I have seen was Jericho for 12.48. lol
