Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Wombat liked the PS3 version of Oblivion better, for what it's worth. I've got the PC and 360 versions, and I'll say it's one of the best bang-for-buck games out there. It took me around 6 months to finish, and there was still a lot to do.

Stranglehold was marked $9.98 and it wasn't even in their system, but the guy said that it was $29.98. When I asked him how he could charge nearly triple what it was marked for, he said it was an arbitrary price to sell things for that aren't in the system. Very let down because they had Oblivion for PS3, Simpson's Game for PS3, Stranglehold for 360

The prices always vary by store with Target. If it was marked a certain price they should have given it to you for that unless someone just moved the tags around. They won't just give it to you for the lowest price in this thread though if that's what you're asking.

Do I use one of their scanners to check if they're selling it for that price and then go buy the game? I'm not really understanding this. Please someone help. I plan on going later today.

Yep, you use the self scan price checkers. Printing out the upc only makes it easier for you to see if they dropped the price yet, as sometime the game will still be in the case.

Yeah, isn't that bait and switch?!? Advertise (on the sticker) and then wanting to charge you more? Heh, yeah I would have called the store manager. All you have to do is threaten to call coroprate. Ask for the store # and manager so you know how to fill our the customer satisfaction survey.

Unless you're being a real prick, the manager will probably correct the "problem" without hassle.

FarCry for the Wii is the biggest piece of sh-- in the history of video games. It is absolutely horrendous and gave me extreme motion sickness in about the first 10 minutes, but still worth $4

Cool...but I notice that the console games take awhile to go down, unlike the PC games which are every Monday it seems. Hopefully, I'll see "The Club" go down for $14.98. As for Kane & Lynch, saw the PC game a few weeks ago for $8.99 or so. But not for consoles.

Because you are looking at the numerous copies of Strangehold and PRG4 that I returned to that Super Target about a week and half ago. When I returned them I noticed that the little tag that prints on the register was showing PGR4 as $14.98 but Stranglehold was $0.00.. I asked the cashier what price Stanglehold would be when they put it back on the shelf and she told me that when it rings up as $0.00, the manager has to decide if they want to keep it and put it back on the shelf or do what ever they do with stuff thats been competely taken out of thier system. The next day I went back and they were all on the self, PGR 4 was 14.98 but the strangleholds were $29.98. I asked the guy working the electronics area why it was marked back up to 29.98 instead of the $14.98 i purchased it at and he said thats what the Boss told them to mark it at..

I had that happen with Orange Box, the 6 copies outside the case were stickered for clearance, those sold. The ten copies in the case aren't though and have a white label saying 29.99. Weird as hell.
