This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I have been wanting any USB microphone to try out on Rock Band, so I went to get Boogie (wasn't there) or any of the Singstars listed on PS2. Singstar 80s, Amped, and Pop all rang up as $50.

I'm pretty sure both coupons are invalid now. The $10 were scanning "expired" at the beginning of July. $5 off $25 might still work. Do people realize that the clearanced Bu-ray player is about the "deal", not a PS3. I've already got a PS3. I'll pick up pretty much anything if it's a good enough deal.

went to target today. and every register had a BIG sign for customers saying that the toy coupon was not being accepted due to fraudulent use. so i'm pretty sure that coupon is not working anymore.

I didn't find a MP3 so I couldn't get that DPCI.

re: DPCI... IIRC, someone who works at Target posted that it was DPCI and not DCPI. He also scolded everyone for treating Target employees bad. I think he had us confused with pushy soccer moms.

it wasn't shrink-wrapped so much as it was held together with packaging tape. the box had its original stickers and "do not sell until" label, but it had a huge slash in the venter where i imagine whoever opened the shipment cut too deeply

I picked up a copy of Metroid Prime 3 Corruption today for $25 - also a copy of Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles for $25. Was not sure about RE but they only had 1 copy of each so I picked them both up. Also saw - Madden 08 - Wii and PS3 - Dark Sector PS3 - Condemned 2 - Kane and Lynch - all of those were stilll to expensive, here's hoping to another week of drops, would like to get Dark Sector for $15 and would possibly pick up K&L or Condemned.

I picked up NCAA Football 08 (X360) for $7.48. Only copy I'd ever seen on the clearance endcap at my store. I haven't touched a EA Sports game in a long time.

Ah, too bad my local Target doesnt discount on damaged games. I remember seeing a copy of some 360 game with a cut in the middle of the case too, and some perfect ones right next to it. I was thinking to myself who would want the one with the cut when they could pay the same price and get one in better condition.

If they leave it there and lower the price enough, someone eventually will. One of the Targets I went to had 3 copies of Heavenly Sword when they were still $29.xx. Two were mint and another had a crushed case (pieces were broken off and were bouncing around inside the case). The first 2 were gone pretty quickly and a few days later, the one with the smashed case was gone, too. I'm pretty sure it was still $29.xx at that point.

All the PS3 games were still $27.98 at the Target I checked. They didn't have any of the Wii titles to put on clearance other than Hannah Montana, which was $15. Wii games sell so well around here that they rarely make it to clearance unless it's a movie game or something.
