This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Yeah... I haven't seen anything in AZ yet. But a lot of people are reporting it, so I'm not sure what the deal is. A shame, but oh well, I already have two controllers. All I need, I suppose.

Check your DVD/books endcaps as well. One of the Targets around here, puts the clearanced games there, if they're not still in the regular display case.
 
All the same stuff as everyone else. But I did find one new Clearance Item:

Madden 09 Collectors Edition (PS3): $62.98

Anyone who has not picked up Madden for the PS3 might want to keep an eye on this one. BTW this was at the Target in Largo, Florida off Ulmerton Rd.

Edit: Before others ask this was strickly for the PS3 version only.
 
WTF. Madden 09 CE PS3 just came out last week and it's already on clearance. I know Madden drops fast but didn't realize it could be that fast :lol:

Guess Target expected the game to be a blowout with millions of orders and accidentally ordered too many. Good idea to start getting rid of them now though, these sports game drop like crazy :bouncy:
 
Wow, I'm going to have to look out for that Madden 09. I figured it would drop pretty quickly but the same month it came out? Woot.
 
Well, one of those games takes up the space of like 3-4 normal depth PS3 games, so space-wise I can see why they'd get rid of them. That, and the CE/LE/SE market for most games is mostly limited to day/week one buyers. Why they haven't clearanced the GTAIV CE's is beyond me.

I know, there were like 4 of them in the case. I guess its cause they take up the space in the case and they only have so many consoles. But even then you would still want to clear up some space.

That's what the one Kmart here does, they put the first row of games cover out, with two rows of games only spine facing out. The clearance sections at the local stores are a joke lately though.

Kane and Lynch Dead Men for PS3 was $9.98 at my local Target (Woodland Hills, CA on Ventura)
It was priced $19.99 at a nearby store the day before.

I hope my store puts Madden 09 Collector's Edition on clearance. Time to add that one to my barcode list for price checking when I go there...

How do you guys do the checking thing? all my Target has is a scanner for items. I'd love to know so if I go out of town or anything I hear alot bout it but never know how.

Get the sku number for the item at amazon.com, enter that sku on upcdatabase.com to generate the barcode, copy & paste it onto a word doc, repeat for all of the games you're interested in, print it, and run the barcodes under the scanners at the store.
 
I visited the Super Target in Sarasota,FL yesterday and I purchased the Madden 09 collectors edition for the PS3 for $62.00. The PS3 game was the only version of the game that was marked down. I asked an employee why was it marked down and he stated that it was marked down per corporates request due to the store has not sold any of the collectors edition game. There were only three three games left after I purchased the game.
 
This has already been posted in the Target Clearance Thread. I posted saying I saw it for that price ($62.98) at the Largo, FL store. Others have seen it as low as $45.xx.
 
Why did for some reason I thought the Madden CE included a updated roster of the 95 Madden for Gen/SNES? Well guess I'll be buying the plug and play NHL95 and Madden 95 combo on eBay. Can't stand any of the maddens since the PS1 era.

NBA Live '08 (Wii): $20.98
The Simpsons Game (Wii): $20.98

A bit too much for either at the current price, but hopefully they'll drop again.

According to the box, it comes with Madden '93 although I couldn't find any details about the roster or what system it emulates.

My Target has 3 copies of the CE at full price. Here's hoping they start dropping quickly. I'd definately bite at $45.

I ended up getting Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword for $17.48 this week. FF:CC was still $27.98 so I left that.

I also got the new Silverstein and Kings of Leon CD's for $2.46 each ("As-Is").
 
Just an FYI about Oblivion, I heard that if you rent Shivering Isles you can install it to your HD and never need the disc again, so even if it's standard, non-GOTY Oblivion, it's still worth a shot.

As-Is items generally don't drop in price since they are usually priced at 75% - 90% off retail to begin with. I've never seen a further price drop on any of those types of items.
 
I've seen these CDs at my local Target marked AS IS and they have stayed the same price for weeks now. I don't believe they drop in price.
 
Why's mine gotta be so much.
I picked up Ghost Squad for $12.46 same as everyone and there's a ton of those CD's at my Targets.

They had Buzz (PS2 Hollywood Edition) with 4 buzzers for 19.99. The other edition was 39.99 down from 49.99. Already have the game but thought about it for the extra buzzers.

I picked up the regular version of Buzz from the local Target last week for $19.99. If I remember correctly, the Hollywood edition was $39.99. Didn't the Hollywood edition come out somewhat recently?
 
TMNT blu-ray $4.99 and Letters From Iwo Jima $4.99 blu-ray, as well as Super Friends vol 2 for the same price at Target Germantown Pkw in Memphis.

Was hoping to find Die Hard though. :(

There's a potential gift card glitch at Target. I went to the Target near me this morning to buy Coke 12 packs (4 for $11) and a few other items. I bought 2 Coke Zero and 2 Diet Coke 12 packs. When the cashier rang me up I heard the system beep and she said "Oh, it looks like you get a $10 GC. Go ahead and pick one out from the rack over there".

I know the promo is supposed to only come up if you buy Coke Zero and NCAA 09. YMMV as I haven't tried it at any other locations.

So you paid $1 for 4 Coke 12 packs? I wonder if one 12 pack would work? If I were you, I would stock up.

Yep, basically got 48 cans of Coke for $1. That was what I was wondering... I know it's got to be the Coke Zero that triggered the GC. I wonder if it would've happened had I only bought one? I know the "real" promo is to buy NCAA 09 and either a 12 Pack or 6 bottle pack of Coke Zero.
