This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Big thanks to everyone here. I was able to get the last copy of L4D (only GOTY editions left) for $13 and a copy of NBA Live 09 for $10.

I've got a question: I was wanting to get Wheelman, but the price hadn't dropped when the employee scanned the barcode. But he didn't scan the code on the actual game, rather the code on the shelf tag. Is there a difference between which one they scan?

If anyone has the code (for Wheelman) that I can use for the self-scanner, it would be much appreciated.

ps...sorry if my terminology is off, but this is new to me.

I was in my local target (Fishers, IN) and they had about 5 copies of Guitar Hero: WT on ps3 for $29.

Well whoever would be selling to him would be helping him out. He probably couldnt get anything cuz someone snagged all the copies, trying to make a living off selling clearance videogames. CAG should be about a community of gamers helping others score cheap games and provide an area of trading, rather than trying to make a living off selling games...unless you actually have a store online or off.

And, I see nothing wrong with posting that in this thread. It is the target clearance thread, and most, if not all, who view this thread are going to go to target. So he is throwing this option out there, in the target thread, so if someone goes to target to buy a game they can scoop an extra up...that is if they wanted to help out a CAGer.

It was a successful day at my 3 targets. I nabbed 3x PS3 Wheelman copies, Scrabble for PSP $7, and Secret Agent Clank $9.xx making my amazon trade in $76!! They had tons of Tomb Raider PS3 around $20, Rock Band 2 $14.98, NFS ProStreet discounted for PS3 and other games I didn't want like NCAA Football 09.

Checked out the North Haven, CT store and picked up the last copy of Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts for $9.98, which is exactly what I went looking for. Spoke to one employee that said they had Left 4 Dead at some point, but none anymore. They had a TON of copies of Guitar Hero 3 (360) at $7.48, one copy of Fear 2 (360) left at $29.98, one copy of Secret Agent Clank (PSP) for $9.98, tons of copies of Prince Of Persia (360) at $14.98, tons of copies of GH: World Tour (PS3) for $29.98, a copy of Burnout Paradise (PS3) for $14.98, tons of copies of Tiger Woods '09 All Play (Wii) for $19.98, and some assorted GBA games (Family Feud, Spyro, 3D Pool, Barbie) priced between $6.98-$10.98. Nothing too exciting, though.

I just picked up Ninja Blade for 25 dollars, but the OP says 19.98. So would there be a way to prove that the target pricing is supposed to be 19.98 or am I stuck with the price that I purchased it at?

I also saw LocoRoco 2 for PSP for $4.98, but passed since I sold my PSP. Nothing else really exciting that was under $20 though.

I doubt it my target had probably closer to 40 copies and they are almost gone now. Usually when Target clearance items they go through 3 price drops. If you really want it i would grab it.

Anyone have a DPCI or ASIN for this model (EEE little netbook), or know where I can get one? Tried on Amazon but they didn't have the right model. I want to see if I can track one of these down in my area, seems like a steal.

I found a L4D at my Target on 14 & JohnR in Michigan. They had a few. Also took a Monster v Aliens for trade in towards FNR4 (I think).

Got Ratchet and Clank Future for $15. It was not on clearance though and it may have not been correct. It rung up as $29.99 (Greatest Hits) though the price tag was for Ratchet and Clank. GT5 Prologue was $9.99, but I'm not the biggest racing fan. As always, YMMV.

On clearance though was a ton of GH:WT for PS3, some other PS3 game I forget about but wasn't noticeable, Rockband 2 for PS3, and Secret Agent Clank which I bought for $10 (marked down from $15 and with 2 left I figured I may miss out on it).

2x LOTR Conquest @ 9.98 each pick last 2 up and none at any other stores
2x L4D @ 12.98 each still 1 left @ Suncoast Parkway store (Pasco)
1x NBA 09 @ 9.98 none left at any store
1x Alien vs. Monster @ 12.98 about 2 copies at Clearwater store, and Palm harbor Target

but still didn't find what I mainly went looking for which was Banjo and MK vs DC.

there were 4 copies of left 4 dead at the selinsgrove, pa target. i grabbed one and the employee grabbed the other 3 and took them somewhere out of sight. i don't know if he was taking them for himself or to mark them with the new price, but they were gone.

at this same store, they had 10+ mk vs. dc on saturday marked at $30 and they were probably marked down to $15 on monday and now they are all gone...possible hoarder in the area.

To add on to the not in Watchung or SPlainfield, not in Vauxhall or Union either (well not on clearance shelves anyways, possibly in case, though don't recall seeing them there).
