This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I went to my local Target just because I was close, not because I thought there would be anything good. Turns out I was right, because the only 360 clearance game was HAWX at $41. Ridiculous.

Picked up EndWar bundle with the nice headset. Will be keeping the headset, and trading in the game after I experience how terrible/awesome it is.

there were at least 8 left in the store, which is the one located in Walnut Creek, CA.

Checked Crossroads and District Targets in Irvine and Tustin, CA yesterday.

Crossroads have almost nothing 'sides a few lingering DS and Wii games. They added PoP but it's at 30% off as of now. Did find a sole copy of Wanted (PS3) but it was being sold for $50.

District has HELLA games. Nothing worth mentioning though. The four EndWar bundles I saw left on Monday were gone.

Anyone got an update for the Target in The Marketplace (Irvine & Tustin)? Too lazy to drive there.
anybody see fear2 for ps3 in so cal for 12.48? I've checked around 10 targets and haven't seen any deals thus far.
The FEAR 2 clearance is only for the 360 version as far as I know...I've never seen a single copy of FEAR 2 on the PS3 for clearance.

Hey I was just in my local Target yesterday and saw Need for Speed Undercover on clearance for 6.48, I definitely picked it up for such an amazing price.

Sorry, forgot to mention the Target was in Marietta, GA.
Do they still have a clearance section in Worcester anymore? The Target by Solomon Pond still has it as $29.xx
I haven't been in the actual Worcester Store on Lincoln St. in a while, so I couldn't answer that. I'm looking in surrounding areas though -- Shrewsbury, Millbury, Marlboro, Milford, etc.

Super Target in Wesley Chapel, FL has a few EndWar bundles left if you want a headset. And another will be there after today as I am returning the one I bought. Decided I didnt need it. Oh well.

Nothing else of note. They dont have any FEAR 2 or anything else really on sale unless you think $41 is a sale. I cant remember which games those were though.

Last 2 times I stopped at Lincoln St I couldn't find their clearance section, although I'm pretty sure I had seen it before (a couple months ago). I try to keep an eye on the Marlboro and Westboro Targets but nothing is under $29.xx (for the 360) at either as of Wednesday.

Just got back from the Target on Ward Parkway in Kansas City.

:360: Ninja Blade ($9.98 - picked up last one though, sorry)
:360: Chronicles of Riddick ($14.98 - about 3 left)
:360: FEAR 2 ($12.48 - couple left)
:360: HAWX ($41.98 - ~4)
:pS3: Motorstorm: PR (~ $41.98)
:pS3: Prince of Persia (~ $29.98)
:pS3: GH: World Tour ($14.98)

I ended up getting Ninja Blade, FEAR 2 and Riddick though I'm not sure if I'll keep Riddick. Employee that rang me up asked me if I was trading them in. I replied 'no' and then he said that's what he does. Eh, I don't get the deal with flippers and hoarders, most of the time you're not even making that much from it. Why not just give others a chance to buy the game to actually, I don't know, play it? To each his own I guess.

So is Riddick actually worthwhile? I picked it up a few days ago but haven't opened it yet. Debating whether I really need another FPS right now, after picking up FEAR 2 and Resistance 2 recently.

Hell, I get "simulator sickness" (like motion sickness) from a lot of (but not all) FPS games and can't even play many of them. I don't know why I keep buying them anyway.

the first game which is packaged in was fun and you can check out the demo on xbl which was also cool

i'm not big on too many fps either... check out the demo and you can decide for yourself n still return the game if u dont like it

I just finished the Escape From Butcher Bay Campaign and I had to stop playing a couple times because it gave me a headache. I think it was from constantly switching from regular vision to prone vision to nightvision. Also, towards the end of that campaign where you have to drive those big robots (one like at the end of the movie Aliens), you'll definitely get some "simulator sickness." I've played FPS games as much as a can for years going back to Counterstrike 1.3, and it bugged me. I'd say unless you're a big riddick fan, u should maybe think about returning it.

I read somewhere on a previous page that 360 Prince of Persia is now MSRP at $20 pretty much everywhere now. I know I saw one earlier this week on an endcap still at $14.98. Is this one of those reset price points on a game like Far Cry 2 was? I recall passing on it a while ago at $9.98, then the following week seeing it in an employee cart with no tags, but when scanned came up $29.99. I guess I could save $5, or just get other cheap games elsewhere.

It seems my Target (American Fork, UT) only likes to add games to the clearance section but never update the prices. 50 Cent and Riddick are both $41.xx. They've both been sitting at that price for over a month now. They have added the EndWar PS3 bundle for $44.98 (there were at least 5 of them) and some DS crap, but not a single drop in the last 3 weeks. Slackers!

Wooohooo my Target finally had HOTD Overkill for $12.48. Largo Mall, still 2 left, also 2 50 Cent BOTS $14.98, everything else seemed to be 30% still.

Edit: I'm going on vacation so I can't pick the others up for anyone. Normally I would but I'm leaving in minutes. Sorry.

good luck with that. It'll most likely be gone by then since $15 is the last "standard" price drop. Anymore and it'll be extremely ymmv.
I can confirm seeing PoP PS3 for 27.98, as well as the Naruto PSP game dropping down to 19.98
Saw these same prices in a Cincinnati target.
Also:
Guitar Hero WT (PS3) $15
motor Storm 207-24-0173 $42
End War bundle 207-24-0205 $45

PSP Naruto is 207-20-0276
PoP is 207-24-0150
Which Targets would these be, I frequent 2 in the Cincinnati area and I never see any drops. I see clearance notices on here only to find the game for retail price, or close to, at my local Target. Lowest I ever see anything drop is to about $40.00 before they all conspicuously disappear .
I guess I was talking in general terms, not specifically for video games. But I found that the Tri-County target generally has the most items on clearance and sticks with a fairly regular markdown schedule. The Western Hills target (at least the old one - was only at the new one once) generally sucks and hardly ever marks anything down more than 30-50% before someone either buys it or it disappears. Colerain target is somewhere in-between. Not as much merchandise in general on clearance as the Tri-County, but still better than the WH one was.

I rarely get to Tri-C anymore as I don't work out that way anymore and since I've moved, the Colerain one is my closest.

Target at the Marketplace in Irvine had a lot of Xbox 360 titles only at 30% off though.

An honorable mention: NBA 2k9 for PS2 at $6.xx

In case you were wondering about any other Targets in OC, the one in Orange doesn't have jack really, I think I saw Riddick and then they have a bunch of Wii shovel ware. The Target in Anaheim Hill has even less and generally never has anything good on clearance, but I haven't been there in a few weeks.

I'm hoping Ninja Blade drops to $9.98 on Monday (it's been 3 weeks since it dropped to $19.98). There is only one Target in my area that has it available. When I last checked, they had 4 copies at $19.98 but they have sold 2 copies since. It's not really a game that I "must" own and maybe it's because of the lull in games being clearanced (after picking up everything that interests me) but I wouldn't mind picking it up for $9.98.

Riddick is still at $29.98 but I don't have any interest in that game even at $14.98.
has anyone seen Dead Rising on the Wii? I'm looking for this
Lowest price that I've seen for Dead Rising Wii in my area is $19.98. Most of the few copies in my area were gone at $27.98. I passed on it at $19.98 but would bite at 75% off.

Didn't see these in the OP:

NBA 09: The Inside :psp: - $14.98 207-20-0352
Fifa Soccer 09 :psp: - $14.98 207-20-0329

I'm not sure if those are old drops but they appeared out of nowhere at 50% off.

I've been waiting for it to drop 9.98 too, the only problem is that it seems like copies keep on disappearing at the 19.98 price in my area =X

Thanks for the information. I only hit up the 3 Targets that are in Irvine with 5 minutes locally of each other. If I had to rank them based on the deals they had: 1. The District, 2. Crossroads, 3. Marketplace.

Most of the stuff that's seen everywhere else can be found at the District. The Crossroads and Marketplace usually have shit.

Wow, good karma. O:)

4 weeks after the final price-drop, found the very last copy of Fear 2: Project Origins :360: for $12.48 in my district. Just sitting there on the shelf, in a plastic security container, next to rows of :wii: and :ps3: games. I couldn't believe my luck. :whee:

I didn't play the original on Xbox, and when Dark Athena was announced I had one less reason to get one. I've been playing it since yesterday on PC -- it's definitely worth it. :D

Which Cleveland area Target? It wasn't Willoughby or Mayfield Heights; I hit both of those last night and each had next to nothing.

Came back from the Target in Cupertino, CA. They have a couple 360 copies of 50 Cent: BotS ($29.98, too much). 15 bucks cheaper and I would have jumped on it. They also had two PS3 copies of Guitar Hero: WT for $14.96, but since I only have instruments for 360, passed on it.

found about 7 copies of Motorstorm: Pacific Rift for $41.98 in the Baltimore, MD area today. Don't ask which store, I went to a couple and I can't remember where I saw them.

Kissimmee West had alot of regular Guitar Heros, but that was it since I snagged last copy of HoTD Overkill and Guitar Hero: World Tour at 75%. There really wasn't much there in general.

Milford, MA Target had about 7 copies of Endwar at 22.XX. I picked up HOTD for 12.XX and Endwar. Figured getting the Headset for $22 wouldn't be too shabby.

Wheelman PS3, rachet and clank PSP, Rock band 2 PS3 and PoP xbox all rang out of system. The clerk said last price was 14.98 on the PS3 and xbox games and 9.98 on the PSP games, I passed. He then threw them under the register and said they would be sent back to the company so the store can get a credit back on them.

I tried to say they were cheaper but he wouldn't hear it. :(

Hmmmm same with me, I used to always stop in at the Tri County Target when I'd make Best Buy runs but now with the BB at Stone Creek I rarely get out there when I'm deal hunting. Maybe I'm just unlucky at Colerain, or lookin in the wrong spot. Do they have a special clearance section or just whatever is in the glass case? I know they got some older games in an aisle in the very back corner as well.

IMO, the clerk was being cool with you by even offering to sell those games at those prices. Many CAGs have reported being denied a sale when a game rings out of system. If you honestly think those prices are too high, then good for you on passing. But if you passed because you saw a lower reported price on here, then you might have made a mistake since anything discount higher than 75% is extremely YMMV.
