This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

it's been all diff. people, but with the area i work in, i wouldn't doubt it people weren't updating properly. Lots of them rich snobby types who probably think that since they paid $300 for this thing they can just turn it off as soon as they hit "update"

Yea, I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw that BD player this morning. I'll have to swing by and pick it up after work for a father's day gift. Let's hope nobody found it in the pair of women's panties I hid it in! :lol:

I didn't see anything else new in the Pgh area this week. I did pick up some stuff I'll hold onto for a couple weeks to price adjust if they drop soon.

Clearance games are on end-caps; if you go to the edges of the stores, that's where they'd be. They have these clearance sections for every department.

In my experience, electronics clearance can be found anywhere from the TV/stereo equipment to shelves where DVDs and CDs are sold. It's all depends on the store, but every store has them. Just gotta browse a little bit and you'll find something! :D

Also, look for the red price tags. Anything with those is clearance.
 
Man.. should have waited. My Target still has copies of Bully and the Family Guy game for $5 and $3 each. Got them when they were $7 and $5. :drool:

Check the end Caps with the HUGE CLEARANCE sign at the top.

End cap = the end of each Isle facing the back isle or store perimeter.

All clearance items have a red sticker on them with the was price and the now price.

Stopped checking Target on a regular basis because the ones near me had gotten so weak, but last couple times I've swung through the clearance section while getting something else I've found something worthwhile. Today was Civ4: Beyond the Sword for $5. :)

At my target I was suprised to see Megaman X for PSP for $7.94. They also had some deer hunting game for PSP and some hanna montana games for DS and some poker games for ps2 for $4.96.
 
Someone wiped out Muegge Rd. Target ... no more copies of Halo Wars LE or MK vs. DC. It wasn't like that Monday. No price drops either. So I'm thinking it was probably one person or a crew of folks after some flips.

Stumbled across an Xbox 360 Starter Pack behind some cutlery boxes of all things. I was headed down the isle when I looked down and saw a green box pushed back behind the boxes of knives. I got one of these about a month ago for $9.98. Gave all of that stuff away to friends who needed the odds and ends of that kit. It rang up "item not found", so I told the cashier, "$4.98." Also grabbed a Converse shirt for $6.24.
 
Was just at the new Target in Memphis on Poplar near Ridgeway. They had lots of copies of Mirror's Edge for $9.98.
 
JUST got back from a Target here in So Cal and I found just what I was looking for. well close to it anyways. Didn't find ANY Mirror's Edge for 360 but I did find the Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard for $47.98 which is on clearance from $67.XX. Best price I could find, even on Amazon, was $63. If anyone is looking for one grab one fast because all of the Targets I've been to in the last week have had these things disappear literally overnight.
 
Scored a bunch of the Hidden Object PC games for 2.48$ today, which is great because I had bought them for mothers day for my wife, and now I can save a few more bucks by buying at the new low price and returning on the old higher price.

Also picked up Quantum of Solace PC for 7.48
 
Nice! saw Loco Roco 2 for $13... almost bought it then relized how frustrating the first game was... also my target seems to have endless supplies of Guitar Hero III 360 still not marked down enough (still at $20)
 
Picked up [207-20-0368] Loco Roco 2 for $9.98 today. Most Targets I have visited still have it for $13.98, two have not marked it down at all yet.
 
I saw like ~20 copies of Prince of Persia for 41.98, ~15 copies of MK Vs. DC for 41.98, and ~20 copies of Smackdown Vs. Raw for I think 27.xx in Clovis Ca

At the Target in Northfield, MN I picked up:

I also saw three copies of Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 | Wii for $4.98. There were a number of 360 titles on the shelf, but they weren't really bargains, so I refrained from remembering their prices.

At my Hazel Dell WA Target they had a few clearence ones. Wii games (dancing with the stars and hannah montanna) for $20. ps2 for $4.98 or $2.98 (WWE, sports games, Twisted Metal and some horse breeder game) Nothing I wanted unfortunately.
