This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I really need to go read some reviews on Fear 2. I bet it will be $24 tomorrow at my Target. I believe the Metacritic score was 77(generally favorable). Has any CAG'ers played it? I'll trust your thoughts more than some jaded game reviewer anyway.

I played it. It was a really awesome shooter. Fun firefights, interesting story and good voice acting. The chick who does Cortana in Halo is in it. It mixes in interesting fire fights with supernatural stuff. It's not necessarily scary, but it's...interesting.

The multiplayer wasn't bad either. I felt that the weapon selection was lacking, but other than that it was really solid. It didn't feel tacked on at least.

Thank goodness. I've been waiting for someone to report this price drop. I still wouldn't pay a penny over $15, but I'm glad to see the price drop somewhat.

You get 2 full awesome games with it. It is a ridiculous bargain IMO
 
Going to try to stop by Target tomorrow. I notice they brought the clearance games out again after being gone for a month. Hopefully I can get Ninja Blade and FEAR 2.

Anyone knows when Target sometimes do their clearance price updates on toys? I saw that Partini went on clearance to $14, but I didn't want to pick it up until it gets to around $10.
 
I stopped by mine yesterday. I saw some copies of Riddick, Lord of the Rings, Fear in a cardboard type sleeve, and HSM 3 with pad. All for 360. I also saw a ps2 copy of three mortal kombat games.

Dark Athena got a 7.0 from gamespot, and the original got a 9.3.. both decent scores. I am playing 2 now and I love it.

My target here in Tx has many of these games with clearance tags on them but all the prices are higher then what is listed here (even when scanned). Chronicles of Riddick is still $41.98, Left 4 Dead is $35, MK vs DC is still 41.98... Is this at each indivdual Targets' discretion?

I picked it up yesterday for $12.98 and thus far I'm really enjoying it. The graphics are crisp, the framerate is smooth, and the slow-mo gunplay is pretty much perfect. Keep in mind that the entire game takes place either indoors on in medium-sized urban outdoor areas, so no vast battlefields like you see in a lot of modern shooters. If that doesn't sound especially boring to you then go for it. It's fun.
 
Picked up a copy of Xbox 360 NBA Live 09 for $10 in Austin,Tx. Saw Banjo Kazooie for $10 but wasn''t interested. Only other games I saw was one copy of 360-50 cent and about 5 copies of PS3 Guitar hero world tour each for 41.xx.
 
Nabbed a few copies of L4D at $12...oddly enough I could have nabbed about 20 of them, there were so many. lol

Other than that it's pretty quiet, Riddick and Ninja Blade are still sitting at 30%, but I might get itchy on Riddick and nab it on 50%. Really want that game bad.
 
Found one sole copy of L4D behind the glass hidden where the GOTY editions were.. Funny thing, I didn't even go to this store to shop for games (as I had already checked it last week and it was fresh out of clearance titles, even showed that there were no remaining L4D at this store)... Either way I said let me check the video games section just because and nabbed L4D for 12.95 and Banjo for $10...

Went ahead and picked up F.E.A.R. 2 since they finally marked it down to $12.48. There were a crapload left though. Afro Samurai was still $15.

Good Luck man! A buddy and I checked out a total of 6 targets (Olathe, Overland Park, and Lee's Summit) with no luck at the $12.48 price point. Found copies of F.E.A.R. 2, L4D and such but they had only been reduced in price once :(

If you do find F.E.A.R. 2 for cheap I'd really like to know where you found it!
 
wow amazing price. in my neighborhood target, most of the game is $60 and i can't find any of the price u guys found.
what day usually for target drop price on games?
is the clearance games inside the class panel or in a bin with other clearance items?

Lucky... my girlfriend is dying to play it (Fear 2), but as of yesterday the only Target here with copies of it are still at $34.98... and since they only have 3, I'd be more than happy with $24.98 :p

I'm gonna check back today but I'm not hopeful, it seems Tampa is very behind in terms of price drops compared to the rest of you guys. It also seems, more often than not, this stuff disappears at 50%. Was waiting for the 15 copies or so of Wheelman to get cheaper than $29.98, but it just one day vanished, all of them.

Oh, it is, totally, especially on Target clearance... I have no problem grabbing this stuff at 50% off depending on the game, it just takes forever for it to happen especially compared to others in this thread.

A few cities outside of Tampa, like St Pete are really decent on Target clearance.. but driving the 45 minutes to save a few bucks isn't really feasible for me (especially when it's random what they might have).

Oh yeah, I definitely know what you're talking about. I used to live in that area. Kind of. lol

I'm in the same situation up here. The two stores I frequent are fairly decent in their clearances but it's hit or miss lately. Hoarders here are becoming more aware and it's getting ridiculous.

I found like 15 not hidden in the case... Surprisingly, no one seems to bother scanning them to figure out the real price. @.@
 
Well, they were taken out of the case after I left. Will have to go see how many are left after I pick up the kid. LOL

No new games added to clearance, as far as I can tell. Wall-e :wii: dropped to $14.98.

Eventhough, 50 Cent: BotS and Fear 2 dropped to 50% off last week, I thought I would still check their price since the majority of Targets dropped L4D from 30% off directly to 75% off. Maybe they were trying to get rid of the regular version ASAP in favor of the GOTY edition. Hopefully, BotS and Fear 2 drop to 75% off next Monday.

I just moved to St. Pete about 2 months ago and I have to say that the St. Pete stores are not very good at all. I have yet to get a clearance game here. The prices NEVER drop past 50%. It hits the 50% mark and then stays there for a good month (if not longer) and then they all disappear.
