This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I've seen them at a Target that I went to today. Waiting for a drop, there were enough to fill two racks so I dont think they're gonna go away soon. But they're big...and orange so we'll see XD

Best Buy should have the 360 bundle for about $ 40 maybe lower YMMV , only seen the PS3 one on clearence

Hmmm, with people reporting only ps3, now I'm doubting myself. I swore I saw ps3 and 360 bundles mixed together. In fact, thats why I do remember them, because I saw both and noticed it was mixed a bit. Hmmm, better check back later to see if both were on clearence or if they made a mistake and put both in the clearnece area
 
I cant believe HAWX is flying off the shelves at $41. Sucks man, people will bite at anything. Also, one of my targets has had 20+ copies of fear 2 that have stayed at $25 for 2 weeks now, wonder what that`s all about.

The EndWar 360 Bundle is a Best Buy exclusive new MSRP $40... The PS3 one is available everywhere and on clearance at Target.
 
Does the Target inventory tool (described in the first post of this thread) ever work? It always displays the correct picture of the item that I am looking for but says "Sorry. Our inventory information system is unavailable right now. We are working on the problem....."

Am I doing something wrong?
 
im almost positive i saw the 360 version of endwar bundle at a target like about 5 copies? i thought it was a best buy exclusive too
 
A 4th Target in my area is also out of L4D. I'm still looking for a sealed copy, please PM me if you're interested in selling it or trading it for a mint Mass Effect.

Picked up :360: fear 2 :ps3: Wheelman :360: Need for speed undercover for $12.98. Found Loco Roco for PSP for 4.98, Star ocean for PSP $9.98 and Prince of persia still at 14.98.

Saw a bunch of PS3 Guitar hero world tour GAME only on the shelf with a few end wars with headset for PS3. Also noticed that all the clearance games at one target now had the security cases on them, first time I've seen it at any target I've been to.

Until their regular time of 10 PM here.

When I worked in retail years ago, we got every 4th of July off. Apparently that's not the case any longer.
 
Target near me has Fear 2 priced at $25.. ugh, I was hoping to grab that for less than $15. Guess I'll wait til next week and hope that one lone copy is still around.
 
Just came from Target and they had Prince of Persia for the 360 for $14.99. They still have Ninja Blade but it hasn't gone down from $28. Many Guitar Heroes 3 still. NHL 09 was pretty high. For PS3, did see the End War, Guitar Heroes World Tour and for PSP, saw the second Naruto game. And PC, a vampire game and many 2GB flash cards which still hasn't gone down all that much.

I wanted to wait two more days for Prince of Persia to go down even more but with only two copies left, I don't think they would be there by then, so I bought it.

I have not seen it for 12.98. I did see it for 24.98 and I've only seen one copy of it in store.
 
I'm hoping to check out to see if they have any other games and if there's a price drop. Still waiting for 50 cent to drop in price. Taking that game forever! :bomb:
 
Target in St. Pete FL (Park Street) ran out of L4D. I was able to grab NCAA Football 2009 for the PS3 for 20 bucks (4 copies left).

I also saw one copy left of GT Prologue for 10 bucks and 3 of Ratchet and Clak for 15 bucks.

They also have GHIII (360) for like 7 bucks.

I was using the DPCI code, not the price on the FEAR 2 game itself.
 
Its kinda odd, I realized that the two stores that are "newer" than the other stores in my area both have the old type scanner which dont have the number pad, yet two stores which were there a few years before the new ones were built do have them.
 
Found two copies of Peggle DS at the Brandon Towncenter Target for $9.98... bought both, one for me, one for my mom.

Everything else was the high 30% off values since most Targets in the Tampa Bay area suck at dropping prices in a reasonable amount of time.
 
FEAR 2 around my area still at 24.98. I did finally see HAWX for the 360 on clearance at 41.98 at the target near victoria gardens. That was pretty much it, they did have GHIII but not interested.
 
A Target in Bremerton, WA (just a visit, don't live here) had GH: WT for PS3 for $14.98 (Game Only) and NCAA 09 for $29.98. Didn't see any others though.
 
For anyone who is still looking for L4D, please look behind the GOTY editions. I know I've posted that before but I went to another Target and found another stash. I don't know if they just dont know the game is diff or its just laziness, but this is the 2nd target where I have found 3 copies behind the GOTY edition. I bought all three of them and the employee got snippy with me and my wife. Asking "why are you buyin all three copies, are they gifts?" Then proceeded to tell me he had a copy of the original version and how he never plays it. Now I see why I don't bother going into that Target much anymore. Aside from L4D all I found was a beat up HSM Dance for 360 at 9.98 blah.
 
Can I buy a copy of Wheelman from one store that sells it for $29.00 and take it to another store that has it for $12.00 and return/rebuy? I want to get copies to trade in to BBV.
 
i found 2 copies of Left 4 Dead for 12.48+tax behind the GOTY ones in the display case... funny thing is i've gone to about 12 targets looking for these, and this is the 2nd hit i've had... at the target that's 3 miles away from where i live (the closest one by 25 miles) :)

At the numerous stores I've been to, I can usually see only 2 or 3 copies, which are all GOTY edition. I find it a bit wierd that all of these Targets would all have such a small number of copies in stock(As opposed to the 10 copies of CoD or GoW2), did that sale back a few weeks ago really drain the GOTY edition stock in my area....

I found regular editions behind GOTY editions in 3 targets. The employees looked at me a little strange when I picked them out of the back, but I don't care. I think they have no idea that it's a clearance. They got the new, shiny cover and they stuck it in the front. In the Targets that I saw them like that, there were 5+ copies of the GOTY edition in front.
 
Add me to the list of finding a Left4Dead behind the GOTY editions. The Target employee was super cool about checking for me as they had so many copies you couldn't see all the way back if there was any standard edition amongst them.
 
Does Target usually drop prices on COMPUTER stuff on Monday? I'm waiting for the 320GB HDD to drop to half off at least. It was $55 recently.

I have 1 store near me thats only been open a couple months and another that's been open a few years. Neither one have the # pad.

That usually means none of the stores in your area have it in stock, or has put it out of system.
