This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Culver City Target has about 4 Endwar PS3 sets with headset for 22.98. 3 were tagged correctly and were in a different endcap (near the stereos) and 1 was incorrectly tagged 44.98 and was in the endcap with their other games.

Hawx is $30 on 360 and 50 Cent dropped to $15. Passed on both.

Still waiting for Ninja Blade and Riddick to drop. Still $20 and $30.

No drops on Ninja Blade ($19.98) or Riddick ($29.98), heck this Target still has BotS at $29.98. I'm not sure if they had already done their drops but the clearance section was really organized and neat so it doesn't look good. It's been 3 weeks and no drops at this Target.

When I was scanning games at the self-scanner, I noticed that on the right side of the screen (next to the price) the words "Special Purchase" popped up for the 360 games. That might indicate if you will receive the B1G1 50% off at the register or not.

Only new drop I noticed was:

I considered the 50 Cent game, but I have enough on my plate for now. If Motorstorm or Riddick were down to $15 or $20 I wouldn't have hesitated.

Did they have a regular clearance sticker or was it an "as is" tag? Either way, I doubt anyone would've passed them up at those prices.

Yes, it's a regular clearance tag. Looks like it was clearance tagged multiple times. I'm surprised they were still there. Lucky me, it's my first "finds" post.

I went to the The District Target again.. because I wanted a pizza from the Costco right next to it. A lot the clearance games were gone since the last time I was there about 4 hours ago. I found someone's stash of 50 Cent: BOTS behind the cheaper 360 games not in the display cases. There were 2.. but I didn't move them back because I was heading back out. Wow. Thanks a lot for the help from everyone! I was able to get Riddick for $14.98 and 50 Cent for $7.49! (coz of the B1G1 360 games sale) When I went right at 8am when they opened the markdown crew just hadn't made it to the electronics yet. Once I got on my break from work I checked the prices again. So I got the best deal I could. I'm not too sure about 50 Cent, but hey it was so cheap! Plus I wouldn't mind adding some more achievement points to my gamer score!

I live in Springfield, MO and was at Target today. 50 cent: BoS still $41.98. Ninja Blade still $19.98. Just left Target in Joplin, MO with Pokemon Pearl for GBA for $17.48. Their 360 games were very minimal. Of course had NCAA Football 09 for $7.48.

Every time I check Ninja Blade, riddick, Hawx, or 50:Bots We're still sitting at 29.98 except for HAWX at 41.98. The last HOTD:Overkill sitting at 24.98. Waiting patiently since I thought I lost HOTD once but it was put back later. How many more weeks can I wait???

Saw something really odd today.

Endwar, which has been as low (confirmed) as 44.99 at my store, spiked back up to 89.99 today.

Other titles on the Clearance shelf (as MSRP, but possible later clearance) were SOCOM Bundles.
Oh and Riddick at 14.98 for 360. I almost bit on it in hopes of trying to get a PS3 version but..I passed. There was just one copy.

okay guys so here's my dilemma i found bots dropped to 15 but riddick was still 30... since there wasn't too many copies of riddick left at this store i scooped it up w bots for $37+tax... what's the best way to go about landing the $15 + $7 ? i was thinking maybe i should of picked up two bots since it'll be an easier exchange when riddick hits 15..

i went to a few local stores and riddick was the same price... my concern is if i try a return + rebuy or exchange $30 for $15 copy how can i still get the current promo if no drops will happen till after this week it seems
