This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There was a sign at the Target I went to that said $14.99 games and up. But the 2 games I bought, Fiddy for $14.98 & Fear 2 $12.48, were under that, and the buy 1 get 50% worked for me.
 
Picked up 2 copies of Ninja blade, priced at $20 each, but with the buy1 get 1 50% off sale, walked out with $15 each. Figured pick em up now instead of waiting for it to drop to $15 and NOT be there.

Just grabbed a $12.48 House of the Dead Overkill at the Highland Village store in Flower Mound, TX and there was one more. They also had one last BOTS at $14.98 but that's about it at 75% off.

Well it worked for me. Got Riddick for 14.98 and Ninja Blade for 4.99 after the 50% off. IMO it isn't worth much more than that, judging from the demo.

No new drops to 75% off so NCAA 09 and 50 Cent BOTS is still at the 75% off mark. Picked up 2 of the 3 50 Cent games to trade into GS.
I saw: FEAR 2-PS3, Motorstorm PR-PS3, Riddick-360, Ninja Blade-360, etc, etc. It's actually a pretty big gold mine in there.. just gotta dig through the stuff and wait patiently for the drops.

Barranca Target in Irvine:
12+ EndWar bundles at 50% off, Motormstorm PR-PS3, PoP-PS3, Pokemon Sapphire at 30% off. Not the best selection, but you'll see a lot of games not seen in the Tustin Target here.

Oh yeah. Tustin Target has a lot of DS games that are still in the security cases for clearance. I normally don't look at them just because they aren't my cup of tea. A lot of Wii shovel-ware too, of course I didn't note the prices.

Barranca Target has about 3 more Pokemon Sapphires and 3 more Spiderman games for DS at 30% off. Don't recall any Wii games, I'll take a look next time.
 
Hey guys, I just got back from checking another target store for some clearance games. I found this target to have a lot more clearance games than the target closest to me, but as far as regular games they have a poor selection (one case of 360 games)

Anyhow, this target had older scanners and you can check the storeroom for stock or anything like that. All but two of the games I checked came up as $0.00, but two came up with prices, does that usually mean they have the games still?

The target near me scanned as saying Marble Saga was available, but when I had them scan it today they said they were out and not getting anymore any, so I don't know how reliable the scanners are the show if they are in stock and things either.

Better than the 65.78 here in Columbus, GA. Our Target's clearance section gets raped by the employees before the games make it out, most of the time.

It's all luck, i once went to the target near me and saw 4 soul calibur IVs for $9.98 wayyyy before even the best buy sale, I didn't even think of buying em all back then because I didn't realize I could have traded. They haven't had any good clearances since, maybe $12 for smackdown raw 2009 and $21 wheelman but other than that all crap anymore... they lower very crappy games like $5-10 and call it a clearance now lol
 
I saw FEAR 2:project Origin for PS3 for $34.98 at the Target in Jackson, MI the other day. They also had Guitar Hero: World Tour for PS3 for $14.98 and the Endwar bundle for PS3, but it was still $44.98.
 
Snagged EndWar w/ bluetooth headset for PS3 in Valley Stream, NY Target for $22. Didn't see any more copies but if youre close by, give it a shot...

that's why i stash my games....i was doing my rounds yesterday and at one of the target the Riddick was gone so go check my stash and price check and sure enuf 14.xx, i did buy 1 get 1 50% off which was even sweeter, then i went to another Target and saw 4 of the Endwar bundles at 44.xx so i stashed 3 of them in a new hiding place (woman's bra section) and then i went to the original hiding place to check my stash and see if it was still there (in the woman's panties section) and it was sitting at 7 or so games strong so hopefully this week that store will drop the prices and i'll score big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want Rock Band ps3 for a good price! Need to check again this week. Doubt ill find anything though. There was a collection of xbox 360 games on sale in orem, utah.

I actually like the Orem Target compared to the one in AF, they have more items in stock. They do take a while to drop the prices sometimes though. I'll have to go check it out tomorrow to see if they've dropped Chronicles of Riddick or Ninja Blade.
 
Lets see riddick still at 41.98 and Ninja blade at 24.98 or was it 27.98, whatever still too high. Riddick is back in the glass case in my target. 50 Cents were all gone and the lone HOTD overkill went to 12.48 so now gone..... Tons of ps2 Maddens though, a whole shelf worth. Oh and the spongebob 2 pack for ps2 is 13.48 for those of us with kids

If only they'd drop the price on the multitude of World Tours and Fear 2s they've got. The other targets in the area always seem to have more selection and lower clearance prices.
 
Funny thing is I never find any PS3 clearance games in Salem, MA Target. I've walked around trying to scout games but I only find Xbox, Wii, DS, etc except PS3. Are the clearance games located in one area like in a bin or so / stand? Or behind the glass?

Some say its generally harder to find PS3 clearence titles because there arent as many PS3 titles out there. I find it somewhat the opposite, I see them all the time, I bet there are less ps3 owners in my area. They should be in the same area in store though.
 
There are less PS3 titles because they are more valuable than 360 titles. There, I said it. It's apparently very easy to mod a 360 to play burnt games. I see a CL ad for them like every 50 ads in the video game section.

I'm sure it depends on the Target. The Target I frequent most (for normal shopping) alternates between the ends of two aisles, one being by the books, and the other by the Wii/DS games. Two others are always at the end of the same aisle. Then there's the Super Target that leaves everything in the glass cabinets so you can't even take it to go scan it without getting an employee. And as for not finding PS3 titles, it might be like the Target I frequent most as well; their PS3 titles fill only two shelves in one glass cabinet, meaning there's a lot less stock.
 
nothing good, linden target sux endwar is at $44 this week again, menlo had guitar hero 1 for 13, and some wii shovelware

has anyone ever seen a Blaze Blue at target? I've never came across it anywhere in stores, was hopping target would give it the clearence treatment but ...eh they don't have it to begin with.

That is ridiculously selfish. Not to mention, doesn't Target have cameras?
 
I hate to go on about the stashing thing... but in my eyes its basically the same as stealing. Also, aren't you just plain embarrassed to have to stash a game to save $15???

If the man can stomach the shame of having to rifle through racks of panties, as women all around him watch in disgust, just to save $10, then leave him be. God knows he needs the games, as he won't be getting a date for a long time.
