This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I checked the main case of games, and to my surprise there was about 5 regular L4D behind about 2 or 3 GOTY L4D.

Barely any other 360 games; high prices still.
 
I feel like maybe the panties bra thing is a joke just to get cags to start looking up in there. LOL
yea I hid a stash of games too but, in the Viagra section next to the scented lubes.

To any OC CAGS: Anyone mind checking out the Targets in Irvine tomorrow? I usually do my rounds on Mondays and report but I have major studying to do. Mostly wanna see if the Ninja Blades (360), FEAR 2 (PS3), and PoP (PS3) dropped.

playing through it right now myself... its made well, gameplay is decent, graphics are pretty slick, story has a b-movie quality, which makes it the good kind of cheesy... not huge rap fan, really dont care for 50's music, but the gameplay is pretty simple, but easily fun to pick up and play. Spend the $15, play through it once (hell, I might go through a quick 2nd time) and trade it soon, while its relatively new, and you should get around your money back,or trade with someone here

I played a bit of it the other night and yeah its pretty crazy. Its over the top fun and plays like a second rate GOW, with some brawling elements. I would recommend it. Its is well worth 15 bucks.
 
Ninja Blade is STILL $19.99 and the last copy of Riddick is STILL $29.99 at my local Target. They've been stuck at those prices for at least 3 weeks.

Most of the other stuff was gone- all the 50 Cent BotS were gone (last week about 12 copies at $14.98) and all the Endwar bundles are gone (last week there was about 6 copies at $22.48).

It's possible I went too early (got there a half hour after opening) but I'm done trying to catch that single Riddick in a further price drop. I'll just wait for it to go on sale again at Amazon.

I've done pretty well these past few weeks so I can't complain- Afro Samurai for $15, Fear 2 for $12, 50 Cent for $15Endwar Bundle for $22.
 
Hey DFW cags, I saw at least 2 more L4Ds at the Plano Target on the Tollway (I think Park and the Tollway). I got mine for 12.48. I didn't see anything else there worth mentioning, but if you are looking for a L4D they are in the case behind the GOY copies.

It reminds me a bit of the club, with the bonus points and trying to kill things fast, it also has these quick objectives that pop up out of no where like kill 2 snipers in 30 seconds. It's a fun game, $15 it's a blast. The music isn't my thing but hearing 50 taunt after each kill using the F word in every sentence in the game is amazing.

Gotta check it out for the price.

That's my target :) I don't scout PS3 games since I don't have one, but to my knowledge all the clearance stuff is in the endcap next to the video games in the corner. I saw a bunch of the PS3 Endwar packages with bluetooth headset the past few weeks, @ 22.xx last week and there were 2 left on Wednesday if I recall. Ocassionally I see some 'clearance' red tags on games behind the glass, usually when they first go on clearance and the discount isn't great.

Any further posting about hiding games or other shenanigans will end up with some dire consequences. Probably along the line of checking your IP address of where you're connecting to CAG, finding out where you're at, and taking the time to call every single Target in the local area (thank you store locator) and have them check that area for the hidden cache of games.

If you have some secret shame about getting clearance games that requires you to hide them to actually get them, keep that to yourself. Post about it in here, and the information will be used against you.

Both of my local Targets STILL have Riddick at $29.98 and Ninja Blade at $19.98.. I believe this is going on week 4 at these prices. The sole copy of 50 Cent finally dropped to $14.98 however, so I shall be trying that out soon.

That's what the prices at my targets were also. Gonna check later if the price dropped anymore. Doubtful but hopeful. :)
 
Just saw a few new (30%) PS3 drops today at Lionville, PA and Exton, PA. Nothing that hasn't been mentioned already. They did have Force Unleashed for the PS2 for $10 as well.

just got back from my target in houston, tx, picked the endwar bundle for 22.48, one left. hey had a bunch of pokeman gameboy games, and a lot of ds games on clearance. all of the 360 stuff was gone!

I don't think I've ever seen a DS or GBA game at my Target on clearance. Just Ps2/360/Ps3/PSP/PC game. Never a DS game.

Damn, grabbed the EndWar bundle when it dropped to $22.48 last week thinking that would be the price it would disappear at, but a week later and I'm still seeing plenty of copies everywhere. Guess I should have waited for another drop. #-o
 
Manassas Va didn't have anything spectacular to report.

Gainsville, VA had the 50 cent game down to $14.98. Everything else the stores had was still marked high.

I stopped in this morning at my store and found that Motorstorm: Pacific Rift and Riddick still had not dropped (both were still at the 50%) price point.

Nice to see a few copies of Madworld there though at 30% off. (Passed on them for the time being.)

Picked up FFCC: Echoes of Time :ds: at $27.98. It was the last copy so I'll try to do a return/rebuy when it drops to 75% off. Ninja Blade and Riddick are still at 50% off. :whistle2:|

Just came back from Target and they still had Ninja Blade and Riddick for 50% off.

The only new games that I saw were:

Fear 2 PS3 no price sticker
Madworld Wii $20.98 behind the glass case
Star Wars Force Unleashed PS2 $10.xx

interesting, i saw that on x-play's top 9 of 09 last week and they gave it pretty good reviews...

Somehow I doubt Target employees will give a shit about clearance games being "hidden". They'll laugh you off the phone.

I think he meant Madworld since that is the only one (out of the 6) that hasn't been discussed at length for the past few weeks. I would definitely pick up Madworld... at 75% off.
 
Just stopped by the Chantilly, VA Target while out grabbing lunch. The clearance bin has been pretty much cleaned out. The only thing that I saw of any note was NCAA Football 09 for the PS3 for $7.48, but I have no interest in sports games, so I passed on it. They also had a pile of some Wii cheerleading game. That was about it.

Oddly, the pile of EndWars that was there the other day seems to have disappeared, so I guess it's good that I grabbed it after all. Guess there was a sudden run on it?
