This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I haven't seen it pesonally, but the SOCOM bundle game with a regular sized case.

Just picked up Endwar at the Homewood, IL store for $22.48. They have about 5 left if anyone is interested.

I'm tempted just to trade the game in towards SFIV as I was really just interested in the headset. Any game impressions?

Target in Greenville, NC has like 3 copies yesterday for $14.98. They are no doubt all gone now.

I was able to get Madworld for the Wii for the same price, $14.98. On vacation last weekend we hit the Target in Glen Burnie, MD and I got BotS for $14.98, they had several left as of Saturday.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Target typically salvages anything after a couple weeks at 75% off, drops below that are not common.
 
maybe ill check out my local target again, the endwar bundle was still marked and scanned at $62, hope they are getting around to dropping the price on it
 
Is there a different DPCI or ASIN for the Endwar bundle? I've got the DPCI from here and the ASIN from Amazon, but it's not letting me search Targets for availability with either one. Has anyone been successful in looking for availability? The bluetooth headset is tempting me.
 
I checked the Target in Joliet, IL last week for the Endwar bundle and they had 6-7 of them but they were priced at $44.98. Checked today and they're all gone. Guess they dropped in price over the weekend. :whistle2:(
 
Was in target at Silver Spring, MD. They didn't have much of anything other than Motorstorm PS3 for $14.98. Amazingly enough, they ddid have Left 4 Dead in the cabinet for $12.48.
 
Picked up the last Endwar bundle at Denton, TX store for $22.48.

They still have two $14.98 copies of 50 Cent left, but nothing else at 75% off that I saw.
 
For those that are thinking of picking up the endwar bundle for the headset... I did and I have to say Sony's headset is pretty crappy. Pales in comparison to my Plantronics Voyager 520 which can be had for 37.99 on Amazon. If you have the extra cash I highly recommend it.
 
Saturday I went to the Target in Pearland TX on FM518 & HWY288 and saw about 5 copies of 50 Cent Blood on the Sand (360) at $15 and 3 copies of the Riddick (360) game for $42. FYI: This stores game clearance rack is between the mens clothing and the birthday cards for some reason.

Ended up picking up 2 copies of 50¢ BotS, one for me and one for my brother. I didn't think it was going to be a very good game, but it actually is quite fun and looks more polished that it should. If you have little kids, you should know that there is a lot cussing in the game and it is very very frequent. There probably isn't much replay value to the game for most people and hardcore gamers should be able to beat it with a rental. 50¢ fans will enjoy the game since it has quite a few songs you can select between and play at any time as well as several unlockable music videos. You can also change a setting in the options and turn down the music if you want. I think $15-$20 is about the right price point for the game if you like arcade style fps games.

eh- to each their own. I like my sony headset and haven't had any problems with it. My friend and I played through RE5 with them and had no feedback or static issues like i had with some of the other ones I've used.
 
Are there no CAGs in the OC who hits up the Target clearance? I feel like if I don't go there every few days, I'm missing out. Us OC CAGs should help each other.

When I asked, the (older) cashier said that they had been doing that for at least a year, and if they just key in a birthday, the have to get a supervisor's approval....bull-fuckin shit! I've bought my share of (clearance)M-rated games @ Target with the cashier keying my birthday in.

I think he's saying that it's not a correct clearance price based on a $49.99 RP (it would be $34.99 with 30% off); the $41.99 is based on a $59.99 RP.

But Wanted did originally retail for $59.99. I thought that clearances were based off the original price.
 
My store finally dropped the Endwar bundles to $22.xx. Only one copy left now. Debating on getting it or not as I already have the game. Anyone ever see it drop below $22.xx?

I refused to let them scan my ID (seriously, Target, WTF?). The cashier was NOT happy with me as the line got longer and longer as all of the managers apparently took a break at the same time or something. Sorry, people behind me, but after your bank account gets emptied by someone across the country who somehow had a fake ID (with apparently correct Driver's License #!) with your name/address, you get a bit nervous about who gets access to what, and an M-rated $15 clearance game at Target is NOT getting a swiped copy of my ID.

Sometimes Target's MSRP drops are YMMV (just like their clearance drops). I had a Target that had Bully :wii: clearanced at 75% off of $59.99 while another Target had it clearanced at 75% off of $49.99. A week later, I went back to the first Target and they had adjusted the price to $7.48 (75% off of $29.99).

That seems to be what is happening here. When Wanted starts to clearance at other Targets, we will most likely see the $34.98 price (30% off).
 
Found L4D non game of the year copies behind the GOY ones. They checked price and it came up 0.00 and they would not sell it to me for any price

It's not a conspiracy theory when I know for a fact someone in Georgia has a full copy of my driver's license (based on what they told me during the investigation of my bank account being emptied). Being as it's never been out of my possession, it's been swiped from somewhere.

I'm not saying "Target" as a corporation did it, but the fewer places that my data is stored, the better.

You need to find an employee with a hand scanner to look up the last price. Theres also a possibility they'll just give you the GOTY price, which I suspect might happen

Tonight at one of my local Targets in NE Tn I bought the Endwar bundle for $22xx ...they had 1 more copy.
