This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I somehow managed to find Left 4 Dead the other day.
I've been checking that Target for months, and I happen to find it lying around in the cd's.

I can tell people are trying to hide shit to wait to buy it til it drops price even more.

I apologize for that shittily structured sentence. And using the word "shittily."
 
Went in today and interesting that games that were $29.99 a few days ago were marked down to $14.99 such as Chronicles of Riddick and NHL 2009 (both for XBOX 360). Typically, they are marked down like every $5 every week or two...

I also saw a Ubisoft and THQ Wii game sports game...summer related games. And a lot of Socom box sets for $22. I'm guessing Ninja Blade which was $26.99 a few days ago was probably marked down to $14.99 like the others.

Ontario, CA. Yeah I saw it previously for a few weeks at that price and today i stopped in before work and saw that it had dropped.

There were a lot of discs marked down at the Northgate-Seattle Target today. I picked up Ninja Blade for $9.98 (4 copies remain) and was gonna get Riddick for $14.98, but someone grabbed the last one before my break hit.

Wanted for both 360 and PS3 was $34.98 (there were tons of these... probably a title that will hit 75% off, no problem).
Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar Bundle (I think dual guitar bundle) was $62.98 for both PS3 and 360.
Wheelman 360 was $27.98

Only other one I can remember was Final Fantasy Echoes of Time for $27.98

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2 is primarily a fighting game. See IGN review here.
 
Finally got Ninja Blade and Riddick at the lowest prices... $9.98 and $14.98 respectively.

Pacific Rift is $30 and I hope I can get a copy of this at $14.98 They also had Tomb Raider Underworld (PS3) $14.98 and Madworld (Wii) $20.98 ... I passed on both.

Was able to score a copy of L4D! Price was $12.49 because I don't think my target goes beyond 75% clearance. Not sure how it appeared there, my guess is someone stashed and forgot.

is ncaa 09 football for the 360 on clearance or just a price reduction? they have it at one of my local stores for 30 shrewt bucks and the price has been that way for a few weeks now

it has no red tags but it's been at an end cap w mostly clearance games and some of the value ones

My Target had SOCOM sets for $41. I checked the price with the price scanner thing they have and it still showed the same value so I guess I'll have to wait a week before they reduce the price again right? :/

It's on clearance. Ask to have it scanned.

It may not be in the system at your store as "on clearance" yet. I know my store took forever for it to be reduced.
 
Picked up Riddick yesterday for $14.98 in Bronx, NY. Ninja Blade was $9.98, my friend got the last copy, damn him!. They also have Velvet Assassin PC for $9.98

I've been scanning it ... 30 is the current price... thanks for the info tho! i'll keep checking back hopefully there will still be a copy to snag at $15
 
I really hope we see some reports of Motorstorm: Pacific Rift for $14.98 this week...I've been waiting a few weeks now and really want to get a copy for that price. I want the game so much that I've considered paying $29.98 for it! :p
 
went to a Super Target that I usually never go to down in Houston, TX, they had like 8 copies of PoP and Dead Space. around 4 copies of Chronicles of Riddick. I was hoping to find Tom Clancy with headset, but they didnt have any. probably not going back to there so sorry if any of yall wanted those games. i will probably hit up another target though.

I think people are confusing the GH Motorstorm and PR, since they are usually mixed together. My local targets have GH Motorstorm 1 @ $14.98 and Motorstorm 2 PR @ 29.98, has stayed for at least 3 weeks at 50% off. I picked up a copy at that price but haven't opened it yet hoping for a drop to 75%

I don't think that's an accurate price. SOCOM started at $60, so the first drop is $42 and the next would be $30 and the 75% off would be $15. My local Target has about 20 copies at $42. Hoping it holds out until $15.
 
Saw Rock Band 2 for 34.98, GHWT guitar bundle for around 62 and the SOCOM bundle for 30% off ( cant remember the specific price though.)

It's not technically a game, but gaming and entertainment related nonetheless, but it looks like someone over at SD "fishnlab" was able to snag a Panasonic Viera 50" Plasma TV for $895 on clearance. Others have reported finding it in-store for the website's advertised price ($1299) while others have found it even cheaper (some guy later in the thread claimed to have snagged the last one on display for $698).

Might be worth a look to see if this tv is in fact on Target's scheduled clearance and keep an eye out for it.

Picked up a bundle of splinter cell essentials and graw for the psp for $3.97! Says it was marked down from $29. Didn't notice anything else remarkable...
 
FINALLY found a copy (3 copies actually) of H.A.W.X. for $14.98 at a Target in Canton, MI. (One off of Warren Rd.)

That Target easily has the largest clearance section of videogames I have ever seen at one of their stores. An entire endcap of games for all systems and another third of another endcap to finish it off.

They didn't have a lot of 360 games of than H.A.W.X. and Ninja Blade left. TON of DS games and PS3 games.

I haven't had a chance to play it yet (since my DVD drive is messed up right now), but it's the same Uncaged (bloody) version as the 360 and PS3 versions. I've heard that it's a straight up port from the console ones, though, so it's not a big step up aside from resolution options.

Still, for $10 I don't mind. I already beat the PS3 version when I rented it at the time the movie came out. To get to own it for so cheap is fine with me. ;)
