This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Just FYI, but no new info.

Target at Rockville, MD had near zero clearance games. They are behind a glass counter so you can't even check, but for 360 they only had Afro Samurai and 50 Cent: BitS for $30 each apparently. Hate that Target, have to find one in MD/DC area that has actual clearences.
 
Finally got Ninja Blade for 10$, but I had to work target over again to get it. (As a recap, I bought it from another store at the higher price, held it for about a week, returned it late in the evening to a store I knew had the lower clearance price, and bought it early the next day).

I noticed that the DC metro area Targets suck...all of them. I used to live in Silver Spring and the Target in Wheaton was the same way. I moved out to Bristow, VA and saw that the Gainesville Super Target has some pretty good clearance items.

Saw tons of copies of Motorstorm 2 today for $14.98 (still can't pay that for some reason), saw Riddick for $9.98 (already got it earlier), Ninja Blade for 9.98, but for some reason they did not drop the price of Tomb Raider Underworld. Still at $21. And that is the only one I wanted.

Btw, those copes of Pacific Rift were at the Target on 71st in Tulsa.
 
finally found a riddick for 14.98.
Also HAWX for 14.98 (didn't get it though).
And an NHL09 for 14.98. I already have that, but what a good price for a great game.

I wouldn't touch a display model even if it wast that cheap. Missing items, no warranty , god knows how long it's been playing target videos ..not to mention all the people who cough on it and touch it with there grubby hands. Unless the manager was going to throw in free 3 year coverage, then I wouldn't get near it.
 
Saw a 360 GH:WT '2-les paul' guitar bundle behind the glass. Pretty sure it said $62.xx, but I guess it could have been 82.xx. I couldn't really see it clearly.

While some Target stuff is YMMV, if you see a copy of Left 4 Dead in the case that doesn't have the GOTY banner on the front of it, it should be an OOS copy that you might be able to get the cashier to sell you for the last clearance price, which in most cases, should be $12.48. Just ask - couldn't hurt.

That's fine, I'm glad you're not interested in it, as those who are won't have to worry about some creep following them around the store taking photos of them after they have shown interest in the set.

I nor did anyone else in the thread I posted said that was is left are floor models, but obviously if you're willing to take a risk, Target will knock the price down a bit. Anyone could feel free to check local stock, and price.
 
Visiting some relatives in NJ. Went to the Hackensack Target today and got:

MadWorld Wii $20.98 (I know this is $1 more that the gamestop sale but I wanted a sealed copy, not a gutted one) (3 more left)

high fives all around, I walked out of my Target today with Ninja Blade for $9.98 and Riddick for $14.98. I totally thought these would be gone last night when I posted in this thread about checking my Target today before work. There was only 1 Ninja Blade, and 2 Riddicks last week when I checked but were both marked at $29.98 and $41.98 respectively.
 
I found a non-GOTY Left 4 Dead at a Target I don't normally go to that much. It was locked in the glass case along with a GOTY copy. I asked the clerk to pull it out for me. He suggested that I should buy the GOTY one, but I told him I thought the regular one was on clearance. He then told me that Target changed the sku for the non-GOTY to be the same as the GOTY one and it will ring up at $59.99. I asked him to ring it up anyway and it did come up as $59.99. Does this sound right to anyone?
 
I'm really sick of games dropping to $14.98 and disappearing in a day or two. Six copies of Hawx and four copies of NHL 09 gone that quick? really? Come on. Ridiculous.

$20 shipped to anyone that can get a copy of NHL 09 for me.

that's strange. i just bought my non-goty l4d copy yesterday from my local target. it was clearly out of system, but i asked the saleslady and she said she had to type it in. and it was $12.48.

That doesn't happen at my Target. People are quick to jump on $35 (like with Fear 2) or $30 (Battlestations Pacific), so it's rare when stuff drops to under $20. That only happens when titles appear out of nowhere onto the clearance rack already priced that low.

Ohh so Riddick is dropping to $9.98 in some places.

BTW with Tomb Raider Underworld, it started dropping to $12.99 like we;ll over half a year ago. Strange to see the price go back up. I seen some regular priced Ratchet & Clank for PS3 as well, after they were clearanced from last year.
 
Seriously, anyone who finds a non-GOTY l4d, pick me up one. I can either trade a sealed copy of Ninja Blade or something from my list, OR I can buy it from you at cost + shipping and maybe a little extra (wink).
 
Saw the PS3 Socom US Navy SEALs Confrontation bundle with the headset for 44.98 today. there was about 20 of them in the clearance aisle, but they were the same price as the ones behind the glass in the actual playstation 3 aisle.

Didnt see this on the front page. idk if this was a good price on this set?
 
For anyone in the Brandon, Fl area -

The Target in the plaza next to the Brandon Mall has 1 copy of NHL 09 for 360 for $15, and two copies of Prince of Persia for the PS3 for $10.
 
I got Patapon 2 today for $14 but I may return it after finding out that I can import a UMD version from europe.

Picked up Riddick at my local Target for $14.98. Saw Ninja Baldes and HAWX there too.

Is HAWX any good?

Pretty sure all the L4Ds are gone, but tomorrow I'm gonna hit up the other 3 area stores, just to check.

I'd get it for you, but my sales tax is super high and I'd have to drive quite a ways just to get you a copy at a Target that has it, so it'd cost me more than $21 to get it to you. Sorry.

Don't sports games drop like a rock anyway when next year's game comes out?

So wait, fear 2 ps3 is now seen at $12.xx in some stores??? My local one still has it at $34.xx...If its for ps3, i gotta keep my eyes on the 2 copies they had.

Pines Target? That wouldnt happen to be in Pembroke Pines, Fl. would it? If so.. anymore fear 2's?
