This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Well just got back from the South Philly Target (if there are any CAGs around here) and there isn't much left.

All for PS3. I picked up the last copy of Motor Storm: Pacific Rift. Haha, it still had the $29.98 price tag on it, and when the cashier rang it up and it showed $14.98, she had to take another look then had the "oh well, whatever" face and continued to scan my other items. The 6in die cast Transformers Titanium series figures are also on clearance at $14.98 (OP is $20.98) if anyone collects them, but it might be a YMMV since they are remodeling my Target and getting rid of a lot of stuff.

just wondering, how long has the Warhawk bundles been on sale? havent seen any at any of more stores so I thought it might have been in clearance for awhile.

Just got back from the Harwood Heights Target at the HIP here in Harwood Heights, IL and I saw at least 4 copies of Motorstorm: Pacific Rift for $27.XX I believe. There were also a couple copies of X Blades for the PS3 without a tag on them, but when I politely asked a young lady there to check it with her price gun it scanned up $59.99. I believe I also saw a copy of Riddick for the PS3 for $27.XX. Also saw some other stuff like Endwar for the PSP and Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce for the PSP. I can't remember what else they had because I was mostly there looking for FFCC: EoT and managed to score what appeared to be the last copy.

As far as I know, they just went on clearance. This is the first time I have seen them on clearance and only at one Target. In the past, I've seen them in the "value games" section priced at $29.99. These were priced at $20.98 (30% off).

If you find one that isn't GOTY, you will just have to have it scanned. Sometimes they are stickered, but since L4D is selling for full price in the GOTY edition, many Targets are just shelving them (if they are still there) behind the GOTY.

How much it is will be YMMV, but you could be lucky. I couldn't see paying full price for the GOTY when you can simply download the extra content for free as DLC.

yes the clearance price is based on what's in the computer and not what it's tagged.... it may ring up out of system though in which case you would have to find someone with a handscanner to check the last price or the register person may be able to check

Past couple weeks the Target in North Hollywood, CA has had DS title Henry Hatsworth for $13.98. Picked up a copy last week, still saw a copy "hidden" at the store last night.

Amazing price for that game. The critic in me is sad to see it clearanced so soon, but the cheapass is alright.

Every regular version of Madden 09 was 30% off in Mayfield Hts., OH. I had the PSP game ($13.99) in my hands but passed on it. There were easily a dozen PSP copies, and multiple copies of the PS2 and PS3 games. I didn't see the 360, DS, or Wii versions. I didn't take note of what games were there. A great majority of the clearance games were PS3 titles.

I did get the final copy of FIFA Soccer 09 (PSP) for $7.48.

target in montclair,ca (central & moreno) has more clearance games than i've ever seen at once right now, but the pricing isn't as low as what some others are saying.

i bit on riddick @ $27 but they had 3 or 4 so i'm hoping i can do the ol' rebuy and return in the next couple weeks.

i can't remember everything i saw but they definitely had for ps3: riddick $27, dead space $20, tomb raider $27 (i think, maybe $20), motorstorm $20, socom bundle ($41).

i can't remember what they had for other systems but there was a LOT. probably between 40 and 50 games

also, target in chino (philadelphia & central) had a lot of dead space, tomb raider underworld, rainbow 6 for ps3. they also had some naruto ultimate ninja 2 $9 for psp and dynasty warriors strikeforce $27.

the other target in chino (grand & roswell) only had a few titles, mostly rainbow 6 for ps3. nba 09 for $7 on psp. that's about it i think.

I'm staying at my inlaws place, and decided to check out their local store today. I found the last remaining copy of Motorstorm P/R in the clearance section, and got all excited, ready to jump on it for $15. It was marked at $30ish, I assumed they hadn't updated it, but when I went to the personal price checking machings they have, it told me the price was actually $30 like it said.

So does it ever happen that the price at those price check stands is different than the price at the actual price register? (i.e. should I have had someone at the register check it?). Seems like a lot of people here are successfully getting it for 15. How long do people usually have to wait for their store's prices to fall in line?

There is no rhyme or reason to the price drops. It's not a uniform price drop.

Those self scanners are usually correct, I havent seen an instance where it has rung up differently at the registers

My Target had tons of copies of Prince of Persia(PS3) for $10. Picked one up. I hate the game so far, I'm kind of regretting it now. Could they have made a more irritating protagonist?

Worms obviously is a great game and worth $2.

Poker Smash is also fun. I bought it for $10 on release. It was fun when lots of people played. Now no one does. I hope enough people pick it up at Target for $2 to make it viable online again.

Saw this as well and forgot to mention (love the 99 Restaurant in that complex). They were on an endcap with massively unorganized games on the shelf, from Madden 09 to PS2 games. Good deal if you want a good bluetooth headset. I paid the full $60 for mine at Bestbuy.
