This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Went to go grab some Subway and trade in some games at Gamestop.. so I stopped by my local Target.

Saw a couple Warkhawk bundles at 30% off. Dead Space finally hit 50%.. and yeah, nothing much else.

The game I'm most excited about now is Friends: The One With All the Trivia. Once it drops to 50%.. I'm going to snag one, not even gonna wait for the 75%.

Hey guys, I'm new to this thread, so sorry if this is repeated: I just visited my local Super Target in Apex, NC where they had a couple of copies of Dead Space (PS3) for $20.98, Bionic Commando (PS3) for $40, and one Patapon 2 for about $13. Hope that helps anyone in the area.

At least I don't feel so bad now, since the copies at my one local Target were still $41.98.

I'm currently keeping an eye on the lone copy at each of two close Kmart stores, since I'll gladly pick the game up for $5 or so, but $20 is a stretch since I have such a backlog as it is.

Last 360 Dead Rising for $13.xx at Rochester, MI Target this past Sunday. Went to Madison Heights store today and their Dead Risings weren't clearanced.
Also saw 360 Dead Space at a Target a week or two ago for $21.xx, but wasn't clearanced at Madison Heights today.

I thought clearances were nationwide, but prices were YMMV. Guess not.

my sister checked yesterday at this Super Target in Houston and it was $30. I checked on thursday at this other Target and it was also $30. probably going back to a Target on wednesday to see is it $15 now. I assume it would be though.

Gamestop has a TIV of $7 on them, so with the ODST Promo and EDGE, you get $10 a pop.

The ODST promo was a thing that ends today, where they'll give you 25% more credit if you trade towards the preorder of Halo 3 ODST. I made of like a bandit a few days ago when I traded in $20 worth of games on my end, and got ODST and $20.50 back in credit.

What determines that a game gets clearanced out versus all those budget titles that just sit on the endcap collecting dust? Why would Target be so dead set on getting rid of Saints Row 2 while Saints Row 1 just sits there?

Regardless of the sticker price, they all would have rang up at $14.98. The clearance team probably missed some or they found someone's stash.

They probably clear them out to make space in the glass cases for newer titles. They are less likely to clearance out "budget" titles from their "Value Games" section since there is less competition for space. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen but it's less likely. There is no rhyme or reason as to what gets clearanced as we have seen some titles clearance shortly after their release.


Hoping to see WWE: Legends of Wrestlemania drop to 75% off tomorrow. Most likely it'll be the week after since it just dropped to 50% off this past week in my area.

There were two endcaps with clearance video games, one with just Rock Band SE (PS2) and GH:WT (PS3), and another which was 98% video games, with each system taking up a shelf. I did not see any of the big name games which have generated conversation here lately. They had at least a dozen 007: Quantum of Solace (DS) for $9.98. (It's after 3 AM here and my mind has been in a fog most of the night. Sorry for not remembering specifics.)
