This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Yeah, very YMMV on price adjustments. I work in the same plaza as my Target, so I go in there a lot, and the lady at the service desk recognizes me all the time. Any time I have returned a clearance game I bought, she has always offered me a return/rebuy option. I haven't bought anything in a couple months though, so that may have changed with policies and such.

Heh, it's still on "clearance" for $20.98 at all of the stores here . . . which is kinda ridiculous, since the list price has dropped to $19.99.

It's funny cuz I went to check the games and as I was about to head out of the store I see some dude who had the chair in his cart. I went back to the furniture section and I see the last one in an end cap. I grabbed it for 19.98 as well.

As far as the chair, it's a pretty good gaming chair. My friend has one that he got from Target a couple of years ago(it has red stripes instead of the blue). He actually got it for 9.98, but don't count on that chair going that low. His was an online return and those usually go cheaper.

Picked up Guitar Hero WT for PS3 at 22.98. It was the first I'd seen in a couple months. I also picked up Guild Wars GOTY and Lord of the Rings online Mines of Moria complete edition, both for $4.98.

I had one of these and I loved it. I had one where the sound could be played through speakers on the chair itself (not sure what you have as I can't seem to find the model online) I never really used that because you had to plug it into the TV and it wasn't really necessary.

At first, I didn't think I would like it much. I thought it was too low to the groun, wouldn't be comfortable, etc. But, after I started using it, I was totally addicted. It was by far my favorite way to game, it was comfortable and the perfect way to game.

I only had two complaints on mine, one being that it was kind of hard to store. Mine folded in half, but was still heavy and awkard, so it usually stayed out in the room somewhere. If you have a room that isn't out in the open, or you don't mind it being out, it is great, but I had it in my family room, so I didn't want to leave it out all the time. I ended up leaving mine in Ohio after I moved, mostly because of that. However, now that I'm gaming on a couch, I can never seem to get comfortable and really miss my rocker

The other complaint was that mine didn't have the armrests. I don't think they started putting those on until the ones that came after mine. So, I often found my arms and hands going numb really quick because I had no where to put them, comfortably. If yours doesn't have armrests, I suggest just using a pillow or something on your lap so you have something to rest your arms on, especially if you plan to play for any long period of time.

I think the rocker chairs are great, like I said, I only had two complaints and they were pretty minor. Now that I don't have mine, I really wish I had it back, it was always my favorite chair for gaming!

99% of the time, in my experience. Sometimes there may be a return of an exhibition, but I rarely see anything marked down that doesn't have a red tag. If you know something's on clearance, it never hurts to double check though.

I was looking for the gaming chair but mine didnt have any on the floor. They had 1 on display but I did not see any boxes anywhere. It says on target mobile they're available but I entered the code in the price checker and there was none in the back.

and furniture displays cant (or arent supposed to be) sold. You might get lucky and get a friendly team lead that will sell them, but they're not supposed to since they pay nothing for them like they do TVs and other electronics

I found Kate West The Vanishing Files for $7.48 tonight while I was waiting to get someone to get Drawn to Life out of the case for me. Scanned my barcodes and seen Drawn to Life dropped to $9.98 (Finally ) but they said there was none on the floor or in the back on the scanner, but I looked anyway and they had one copy left. Pretty excited to try it because I've wanted to try it since I first heard about Scribblenauts, or possibly sooner than that.

Not too sure about Cate West, don't even know what it is, but I've been curious about it for a while too, so I took it. It's been kind of dry lately for deals, so I needed to buy something

The endcap in my Target was a mess. There were accessories, PC games, a waterproof stereo, and other junk. It looked like they got rid of their current gen game clearance items, though. And the WD myBook. Either that or someone hid them all.

I picked up a Storm Rocker the other day, figured for $20, what the heck?

They show an adult on the box, but they seem to be sized for kids. I'm 6'3", and 230#'s, and it's not that comfortable for me. The headrest hits me in between my shoulder blades, and the bottom "hump" doesn't have much cushioning. The speakers are ok, nothing great. They might be a little better than the sound out of a TV, but I'd rather put on some good headphones or have the 5.1 going through my home theater system. My 10 year old and 7 year old, however, will be fighting over siting in it. Worth $20 if you are smaller in stature or have kids.

I hope my local Target doesn't put Fallout 3 on clearance, so when the GOTY edition comes out we'll have another L4D situation. Let that Fallout 3 drop straight to $10-$15 in one drop and confuse the workers who will just stick them behind the newer GOTY editions.
