This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.
Does anyone know if you can return something you bought at one target store to another target store? Does it have to be the original store you purchased it from?
You can return to any Target. I do it all the time. Actually picked up game in Florida found cheaper in Connecticut and returned it here.
I saw the Logitech Wireless Desktop thingy for $16 today.
If you make it back and it's still there and you are willing to send it at cost + shipping + a few bucks extra, let me know.

I know the mouse in the "Wave" one is better, but I'm getting these to use with gaming systems. And I figure a cheap desktop nets me a quality Logitech product that looks nice and also has a backup mouse in case I ever need it.

This goes for anyone else - if they find an S510 Logitech Wireless Desktop and don't mind sending it for cost + shipping + a few bucks extra, please let me know. I imagine shipping wouldn't be too much, and I wouldn't need the packaging/box, so it shouldn't be that much of an issue.

Thanks everyone!

Just got back from the Milford, CT Target and picked up one of the Logitech Cordless Desktop S510 for $15.98. There was one more left along with a $19 copy of SFIV for 360 and some other crap.

Yeah, I picked up a Logitech diNovo Edge for $46.62. They still had SF and others for the same price as last week.

It's funny that Sins of a Solar Empire is on clearance at so many. I'm seeing plenty of copies at my local stores with new stickers on them at the $19.99 price point.

Whats really odd is that this game was clearanced about 6 months ago, and they now they are dumping another set.

Great game by the way if you want to loose a day of your life for every game you start.
BTW guys, They (SD's) are getting closer to the goldmine we like to call Target Clearence, only a matter of time before its obselete...Target Electronic clearence is front page deal

http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?threadid=1590790
Kinda sad I tend to go to SD first now before coming to CAG? The front page feature is nice, no bs ads, etc. I guess that's what happens when you find different deals everywhere. I still predominately buy games (typically only thru CAG) but find myself buying other stuff via SD. That's where I found the awesome Restaurant.com 90% off GC deal, bought my Vizio LCD (via Dell) and some other nickel/dime things.

I went to one of my local Target stores tonight and I found the following. I didn't price check ANY of them though, so they may have been lower, but usually they're behind everyone else on the clearance schedule here.

Here's what I saw:

Barney's Great Adventure(DVD, marked as-is)-$1.76-2 copies
Genesis Collection(PSP)-$13.98-1 copy
God Of War: Chains Of Olympus(PSP)-$13.98-1 copy
Sacred 2(PC)-$12.48-1 copy
Saint's Row 2(PC)-$7.48-1-2copies

They also had multiples of each of the current clearance titles and empty spots where some of the former clearance titles were. Some of the current clearance titles were marked with shelf tags in the cases(and red dots near the shelf tags) marked NCF, followed by the game's name.

However, I saw two games which were marked with red dots but no shelf tag with NCF before the games name. These MAY be future clearance titles.

The two that I saw that stood out that were marked with red dots by their shelf tags were:

Grand Theft Auto IV(360)
Red Faction: Guerrilla(PS3)

Take that all for what you will, but since every other game marked with a red dot was a current clearance title, I am assuming that the two listed above will be entering the clearance cycle SOON.

I bought a Zune 120 today that was marked at $160.98. I would have waited longer but there was only 1 of them between the two stores in town. Is this a good deal? I felt it was, it's rare to see new non-recertified Zunes for this cheap.

... Um yeah. That is ridiculous, I mean for 120gb you can't really go wrong. I mean yeah zune media player is nothing compared to itunes but still for $160 that's a really good deal.

That's really a matter of opinion. Especially if you're using your own video and mp3 files that you already own or made yourself, the Zune is a much better device.

Picked up Fallout Add-On Pack 1 for $9.xx

Dynasty Warriors 6 was still at $19.xx and then GH WT was at $24.xx

I will probably nab DW6 once it hits the $10 mark

Picked up (yesterday):

Dynasty Warriors 6 - $9.98
Endwar PSP - $7.48
Science Papa - $7.48

Phillips ipod Dock - $17.48

Saw:

Harry Potter - $12.48
X-Blades PS3 - $41.98 (didn't scan it)
FO3: The Pitt/Anchorage expansion pack - $9.98

I hadn't been to Target in about 2 weeks since there wasn't anything that I was really interested in. The Target that I went to was full of games but mostly DS shovelware. I did see the TW10? bundle and GI Joe on clearance at 30% off.

I saw a 1TB HD at 50% off ($59.98) and was wondering if it will go any lower. I'm not sure on which clearance schedule it's on (30/50/75%).

Seems like every other Target across the US clearances awesome stuff...Target in Rego Park Queens, NY is downright awful... if some of you dudes are willing to help other CAG's out we can get an organized trade group started here...
You do realize that you're actually helping the hoarders by doing that, right?

Science Papa for $7.48 you say? Thanks, I'll head on over to the Craig Rd location and buy the rest of 'em
Have at it Mr. Hoarder, they had two. And while that may be true, it may just allow a non-hoarder to know what is out there also. Hoarding in the LV area is really, really bad. I think I was befriended by a hoarder on this site so that I could provide them with information. I may be wrong about them being a hoarder, but they sure didn't offer much help when it came to getting deals, but were glad when I gave them information.

Also, I think one of the employees at the Maryland and Flamingo store is a CAG hoarder because he was very unhelpful the day I got Wheelman that seemed to be being hidden by him in a case under a sticker for another game. It took him about 30 minutes to even take the game out of the case and scan it for me and he kept telling me it was $59.99 but when I refused to give up, he finally took it out of the case and scanned it and low and behold it was $7.48.

There is an organized trade group here, don't expect any help from anybody on this site, most people here are out for numero uno and that's ok because we do not live in an altruistic world. This site should be called cheap ass greedy basterds and not cheap ass gamer.

On another note, those with young children who drink a lot of juice should stock up this week. If you buy 5 bottles of 64 OZ Mott's apple juice for $8.75 you get a $5 gift card. You can then turn around and use the gift card to buy 5 more bottles of juice at $8.75 and get another gift card and keep repeating as many times as you like.

It's very good juice too.

You can also buy Apple Sauce too, but I'm not sure of the price as my daughter doesn't like Apple Sauce so I didn't buy any of that.

I went to target today looking to pick up Secret Agent Clank for the PS2. When scanned in at one of the end cap scanners it rang up as $19.99 Not the $4.98 mentioned on the first page. Has the clearence ended? Or has my (Vancouver, WA) store not got around to marking it down?

@eldergamer

Yeah, just because it's been found in others Target does not mean it will automatically happen for yours. For mine, getting Endwar-Headset Bundle for $22.xx took at least 3 more weeks then seen on here. Some Targets are really slow with updating, and there not much at all that you can do about it. :(

That didnt use to be the case..but for the most part...its fairly accurate...theres stil good people here that help though...just not as many because a majority of the people wanting that "help" finding a good game is theyre usually new, or just lurk...

BOT....Id like to find Dynasty Warriors 6 at the $9.98 price point...

The Meriden, CT Target officially has no more Socom bundles :( I guess they either sold them all or salvaged them (they have been available for over 3 weeks).

Saw Call of Juarez bound in blood today, I think it was at 41.xx for 360. Also saw Terminator Salvation at 35 dollars! this game REFUSES to drop

I ran into Target tonight. Nothing much to mention, they did drop Up :360: to $19.98 and they had a couple of other games on sale, including Harry Potter and Wolverine for PSP, but were priced in the high $20 price point.

I did get:

Zuma :pc: $4.98
Segan Genesis Collection :psp: $10.98

It seems like the drops this time were weird because almost all of the prices were ones I hadn't seen before. Generally I see $24.98, which goes to $14.98 then usually to $10.98 then $4.98. But I seen several games that were $27.98 and $29.98.

It also seems like my store found a bunch of the stuff in the stockroom that they forgot they had because they pulled a bunch of stuff that I'd never seen out before, including the Genesis Collection which was never out but said it was on clearance on the personal scanner. Unfortunately nothing of interest was out. I saw some cell phone cases, ipod Docks, a Sony e-reader case (still $44.98 which seemed a little high) and other things, but unfortuantely not much for games. My store also decided to merge, yet again, the clearance stuff. Several weeks ago we had three endcaps, two were mostly games and one was other electronics, then they merged them into two, with one being for games and the other for electronics. Tonight they decided to put it all onto one endcap. The thing was so full you couldn't get one thing out without knocking the rest of the stuff off. What's really weird is they just put some cheap headsets on the one endcap and some CDs on the other and moved all the clearance one endcap over. Seems a little silly to me and it doesn't seem to have improved anything, but what do I know :D

Also, I noticed all the Zune accessories were marked down with all of the cables and stuff being under $19.98.

You've got it wrong regarding the price drops. They don't typically go from $24.98 to $14.98 to $10.98 to $4.98. If you see a game at $24.98, it is most likely 50% off it's normal price of $49.99. That means the next price drop for that game will be $12.48 (75% off), then likely out of the system. The games you see at $14.98 are either in the 50% cycle (off $29.99) or 75% cycle (off $59.99). These will either go out of the system (if they were originally $59.99) or drop one more time to $7.48 (if it started at $29.99). The $10.48 price you saw was 30% off of $14.99. The $4.98 price you saw was 75% off $19.99. No individual game will drop from $24.98 to $14.98 to $10.98 to $4.98. It doesn't work that way ;)

There is nothing weird about the drops to $27.98 and $29.98. The $27.98 game was simply in the 30% off part of the clearance cycle (originally $39.99) and the $29.98 game was simply in the 50% off part of the clearance cycle (originally $59.99).

Don't see it listed in the OP, so YMMV, but I picked up the Crysis Maximum Edition in Peoria, IL for $10 (last copy, I believe). I also got Wolverine Origins (PC) there for $5 over a month ago, although the OP lists it at $10, so who knows what Peoria is up to.

Also not on the list, I saw a couple copies of Saints Row 2 (PC) in Bloomington, IL, for somewhere between $7.50-$12.50, can't remember. But other than that, Bloomington seems to be really behind on clearance. I price checked Sins of a Solar Empire, Protoype, Wolfenstein, and the WD hard drives and everything came up regular list price.

Can anyone confirm that the clearance games drop ever 2 weeks? All of my stores have had UP for the PS3 at 25% off since last Monday. Based on my understanding, it should drop again on Monday, right?

i think every store is different so no one can confirm that... ive seen things stay at a price longer then 2 weeks and ive heard others say the same

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the trick to identifying a clearance game is to look for the last digit in the price... if it's XX.X9, it's not on clearance; if it's XX.X8, that's the clearance price. Also, clearanced games should have red tags on the box.

You missed 5 bottles and the Nellis/Charleston store.

That store is a bonanza of clearance games.

I picked up a copy of Dead Space $7.48, it was already in salvage as it rang up as $0.00 and had a $20.98 price tag on it. I had to educate the cashier and get a supervisor to get it for $7.48 but I was successful.

I also picked up Rhythm Heaven, my wife had been bugging me for this game for quite some time so even though it was $20.98, I bit into it.

They had about 20 Guitar Hero Decades bundles but it was still $42.xx so I didn't get that, but will continue to see if it goes down as I have been wanting Decades as I have the other two DS GH.

They had a bunch of games, whey too many to list, not very many good deals yet on them, but they will be coming so this is a store that you should keep your eye on.

They had two clearance end caps full of games.

Is that the last copy of Dead Space or is there one left? Definitely the game I missed out on. But thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I know that is how it generally works. But, since starting at CAG I've been watching my Target for clearance games and a lot of those prices I've never seen on games. It seems like my store had weird ways of doing their clearance compared to other stores. Maybe they are going to start doing it right. Now I have to try and keep an eye on the store since it seems like they are getting more on top of things. I just thought it was really weird to see some of those prices because out of the couple of months I've been watching this Target, I've never seen games at that price point, even though I've seen games with the same starting price on clearance.

Thanks for your reply, I will keep an eye on the store and see how they start handling things, maybe I will get lucky and start getting some of the games they have never dropped, i.e. the NPC games and such!

nothing worth getting at my local stores they are cleared out. But i did notice Call of jaurez: bound in blood is now on clearance for 41.xx.

Nothin new at St. Peters target. Still about 10 SFIV at $19.xx. Not sure I want to re-buy this or not since I was terrible at it. May wait for another drop.

Finding stuff up here has become more ymmv. More ds stuff in O'Fallon last time there (2 weeks or more ago).

I think it was the last copy. I don't really want it PM me. I just couldn't pass the deal up.

So have people just been seeing dynasty warriors 6 empires on clearance for the 360 only? I really would like to get this cheap for the PS3. I only saw 360 versions on clearance at the target near me.
