This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

that game is terrible... i rented it for ps3... it had an easy platinum... but after about 30 minutes the plat was the only reason i kept playing it was so bad.

i would rent it unless someone is offering a good TIV for it... cause there is no way i would ever keep it.

lol same here the game is terrible, I platinumed it and wanted to rent it for 360 to 1000/1000 it but i just dont think i can grind through it again
 
Hey guys..been lurking around here for a while.. Target in Morgantown, WV has a ton of Wii games and very little 360/ps3 games..nothing to great
 
I saw the Rock Band Special Value bundles for 80.99 on the shelf. No clearance, the sign stated a price drop down from 159.99. Anyone else see this in their targets?
 
Just want to first thank the people in this thread for contributing in helping me find a couple of clearance games at great price, so I want to share what I have found:

Target near me (Silver Spring, MD) have Resident Evil 5 on PC in clearance for $12.48... YMMV because I went to another Target store not too far from there and they have that same game priced at $49.99.

Surprised that this game came out on PC not too long ago and already dropping in price. :D

But you forget, people are lazy and don't want to read. They want their deals like they want their news(fast and concise) since their ADD/ADHD prevents them from sitting at a computer for longer than that.

However, I am kind of shocked that CAG didn't add a Wiki function for each thread, like SD has had for a while now. Mind ya, nothing would be stopping smartasses like me from adding a game like Cranium Bukakke to the Wiki post and laughing my ass off when a lazy newbie comes back from having embarassed themselves asking for it at Target/Sears/Kmart. :lol:

But then again, that goes back to the laziness thing, since they would rather someone else do all the work and they just reap the rewards.:roll:

On topic: Seeing as how people found Red Faction: Guerrilla for PC on clearance already, maybe that means I was right and the version for PS3(and possibly 360) is going on clearance soon.
 
I was just in Cranberry, PA (northern Pittsburgh), and while they had some PC games on sale (bioShock), RF Guerilla is still at $30, and RE5 is at full price.
 
Looks like EL'Hoardo hit my Target up again and scooped up all the Dynasty Warriors 6 empires up . Hmmmm what would someone want with so many ? I did score a Science Papa and Puzzle Quest Galactrix for $7.48 . There are still a couple of each left so good luck So Cal Cags .

I picked up RF: Guerilla for $27 this week, but it was only on clearance at one of the local Targets, and only at that price.

I wish I could find RE5 for $12.48

Anyone who could pick that up for me would be my hero for the week.(I have this weird thing about owning all the GFWL games)

Good store, I picked up some nice things there.
 
I picked up a 15.4" Case Logic deluxe laptop sleeve for my sister (has several pockets and stuff), they were on an end cap that said 30% off. They also had some Targus 15.4" full-size laptop cases. That was Monday; went back Wednesday and they were completely wiped out. Note to self: be more diligent about hitting Target early Monday morning! Some of you guys are really good about getting to all of them, but my Targets are too far away, both on opposite sides of town :lol:

I got Heavenly Guardian (Wii) for $3.47. (I'll have to return or sell my $10.48 copy.) This is the first time I've ever seen any console game cheaper than $7.xx personally. Also got Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires (360) for $9.98. I'd been staring at it for $19.98 for two weeks.

I've noticed the same thing. My Target has been out of PS3 clearance for a few weeks now. They recently seemed to find a bunch of stuff from the stockroom that they have brought out and put in clearance, a few PSP games were added, but nothing for PS3. Right now, my clearance is down to nothing but PSP, PC, three Wii games and one 360 game, pretty dry right now. But, they are pulling a ton of stuff I've never seen before and if you can get there in time you can snag a lone copy or something, but other than living at Target while they are doing this, I can't figure out how to get everything :lol:

Thanks for the heads up. Where did you see this deal: is it a sign next to the price tag or was in the weekly circular? Just trying to get some verification before I drive on over.
 
Very nice! I think you caught them in a mistake, though. There's no way RE 5 on PC should be clearanced, it only came out a few weeks ago. Even for Target that's ridiculously early.

It's in the weekly circular but I missed it. I was walking through the store and my daughter happened to need more juice. I saw the sign, picked up one bottle then started reading the sign closer and that's how I figured it out. The cashier was very nice and said she would let me keep using my $5 giftcards one at a time if I wanted to keep repeating the process. I got the deal at two targets and today is the last day of the promotion. As I said, I think it also works on apple sauce too.

NE PDX Targets continue to suck. I don't even know if I would stop to pick up any clearance items off the ground on the street that I saw today.
 
I picked up a couple copies of Guitar Hero: On Tour / On Tour Decades box set at the South Lansing, MI Target today. 75% off, down to $21.98. These will make great Christmas presents.

They had at least a dozen more in the case.

found a few rock band 1 wireless guitars for $14.98 anyone know if its worth it.. I currently have a rock band 2 guitar & am in need of another guitar to have the whole band set.. Any info would be great.

Depending on what system you need them for, Sears has Rock Band sets(PS3 and PS2 that I've seen locally) for $14.97/$19.97.

I found a Drakes Fortune sign that was $15 from one of my Targets but none have any they gave me the price from the store is it possible to go to Bestbuy to price match because there online has the item.
