This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Just wanted to confirm (Dont think its YMMV), that if your purchase was made in atleast the last month, you can go to customer service and Price Match with the coupon to get 10 dollars back. Just did it with a purchase i made 3 weeks ago, all she did was scan the reciept, then scan the coupon, and the register popped open
 
I found a GoW Chains PSP for 9.98 at the Albany, CA Target. It wasn't marked as clearance but I took it to the scanner and it rang up at that price. They had a bunch of Socom's for 9.98 and some other games that were less good.

Yeah they have a ton of Dirt 2 at the Fayetteville, AR Target at $30 for both 360 and PS3. Waiting for it to drop more.
 
Not sure if someone has posted this, saw Wolverine Uncaged Ed. for 29.98 on the clearance rack at one target but 41.98 at another so it is on its way down.

Maybe I'll get lucky and find one at $14.98 or lower when I have to go visit my grandparents over Thanksgiving.

I did the same thing today with a wii clearance purchase I made last week. The lasy seemed hesitant but said, "Let me see if it will work..." And then, cha-ching.

My Target is still really slow with their markdowns. I've got several games I'd like to get, especially with the coupons right now, but everything is staying at the same price, i.e. Bigs :360: $19.98. I just thought it would be fun for $10, but I know I'm going to miss it when they finally do drop it since that is what usually happens. My store doesn't seem to have a schedule at all, I've had them drop on Friday night, Saturday night, Monday morning, etc.

As far as new clearance, my store didn't have anything new this week, hopefully some more will be added next week.

As others have mentioned, it's probably wise to snatch some games at 50% off with these coupons. With the Holidays coming, and the state of the economy, you can bet the current set of Clearance games will not last until the 75% off (depending on your market of course)

The best you can do is buy it at 50%, and keep it seal. If it drops further, you can always buy it then, and return the other one later.

I was thinking about it, but the only game I kind of want is G-Force and I'm not willing to pay $25 for it. If I could get a couple of the games around $10 then there are a few I want. Nothing is anything I want that bad, but at a decent price I would get.

My Target just drives me crazy because they never seem to be on top of things. Last night I went in and was really thinking everything would be gone because so many people were in the games and there were at least ten employees in the nearby area. I was thinking they were actually getting something done, but they were mostly just talking and kind of working. The only thing they seem to like to do is every few weeks stack the games into a nice pile, they stacked each title separately the other day and now they made it into one large pile.

Right now, nothing is selling that fast in the clearance, but if there is anything I really want, especially since I have the coupons I will grab it and hope for a better price, because I agree, things are going to start selling faster now.

Glad I took my own advice. All copies of Wolverine and The Bigs 2 were gone today. Not really sure they were taken by hoarders (20+ copies of Wolverine) or salvaged before 75% off. Bought them at 50% off last week, with the $10.00 off coupon.
 
Just picked up Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Mass Effect both for 13 bucks in Morgantown, WV..But I forgot my coupon so I will have to go back for the 10 bucks
 
just picked up the 2 copies of the bigs 2 (9.98) and rainbow six vegas 2 (19.99...to trade in at GS with there promo)...the bigs 2 flips at GC for 12 + 30% boost when reserving MW2 = 18.20

spend 30 target and got 30 credit at GC...plus i still have the bigs 2 and RBSV2 for the GS promo for MW2

I noticed that the Target in my area puts some of their clearance games in the glass displays now with a huge clearance sign near the price marker. Saw a good 6-7 games like this including NHL 10, Red Faction, and Call of Juarez: BIB.

i just picked up X-Men Origins: Wolverine (360) - $29.98 and Bigs 2 (360) - $19.98 on 11/04. If both of these just dropped in price would I be able to go back and return/rebuy to get the lower clearance price?
 
Anyone in the NJ area have any luck finding a Target with semi-decent price drops?

..best I could find were a couple of Shaun white snowboarding (psp) for $5 which wasn't even worth my time to buy =l

They might be expecting a higher volume of shoplifters this holiday season due to a terrible economy and insane shoppers, so the higher priced "good" games they're going to try to protect a bit more. Maybe.

yea bring in ur reciept...i got a small computer screen 199.99 that was on clearance at another store 119.99 and they gave me the difference...so im assuming they would do the same on ur games...but since its a bigger ticket item...who knows

YMMV on them doing a return/rebuy on the spot. It really depends on the person at CS. If they deny you, you can always try returning the games and buying them again when they put them back out on the floor. You would be taking a chance, though. Good Luck.

Damn, you got lucky. I would think that they would be more willing to adjust a $20 or $30 game than a $200 computer screen. Getting a price adjustment like that is extremely YMMV, though.
 
The Target at the Bergen Mall in Paramus is absolutely loaded with clearance. Although the prices are nothing lower than what can be found in this thread, nearly everything listed in this thread can be found. They must have stocked it today because they were still neatly stacked. From what I remember, GH: Metallica, the Bigs, Wolverine, Tomb Raider, Lego Star Wars, Wolfenstein, Ghostbusters, ATV Off road Fury, Fallout 3 DLC (Broken Steel?) (all for 360). There was a few PS3 games, like Harry Potter and NBA Live 2009, and a few Wii, PSP, PS2 games.

Personally, I didn't pick anything up. With MW2 coming out tomorrow, and my back log from the previous months, I am not going to spend money on games until they are $5 a piece.

Wow, this is awesome news thanks! Ive been to that Target a couple times before just to get my hopes crushed. Might make a stop there before class first thing tomorrow. :bouncy:

Grabbed a Rock Band 1 wireless guitar for $15!

Tons of stuff on sale at this Target but none cheap enough yet.
 
Today I saw the PSP God of War Bundle around the neighborhood of $135, 33% off. Also so an Acer netbook returned from an online order for $200. Only if I had money!
 
Got Fable II for 14.98 and decided with the $10 off coupon to get GI Joe because for it was only 12.xx so i figured what can I lose for 2 dollars and change. For xbox our store had GhostBusters for 41.xx and metallica for 29.xx and wolverine for 29.xx. No copies of wolfenstein already.
 
My local Target finally started putting stuff that's been collecting dust on the bargain shelves on clearance, i.e. Tomb Raider Anniversary, Lego Star Wars, Mass Effect (non-platinum hits cover!!!) and others are now down to $14.

this one guy here on CAG got a 450 vizio at target and took it to another target that had it on clearance for 225 and got back the difference in cash....but then again its a big ticket item...
